I met him when he did my smog check for my car. I just bought and then I had a oil leak so give me a call. He told me he could fix it. I'm not gonna say the number but I told him I'll give him cash and he said he'll knock off 100 bucks, just pretend it was $2000. I only have to pay 1900 cash. The first thing on the invoice is check for leaks no charge and then he called me and said he has good news and some news. No bad news. Good news and news. He says it's not my oil that's leaking. My power steering fluid is leaking so it's gonna be cheaper. It's gonna be $1380 plus $60 credit card fee, so I'll just pay you cash and will knock off 100 bucks. He says cool. I have it all in texts and when I go there to pick up the car, the bill now says $1544.96. And he said 1500 is fine... I didn't say anything but I'm thinking in my head you said 1400 bro so I gave him the 1500 whatever just you know and then the second I leave the light on and it's not his fault according to him when I dropped off my car I should've turned around. He was in the shittiest attitude shitty mood just fucking treating the customer like dog shit bro, I'm the one that's feeding your family dog. You just made $740 off me three hours... So yeah if I was you, I would not take my car to Cabot Smog and repairs. Is this one guy he thinks he knows everything don't get me wrong. He's a mechanic supposedly 20 years and he can't make an oil light turn off. ?? This dude is a joke and a scam artist and his Lyft bent my fenders on the side of my car and he didn't even say anything. I'm just staring at it seeing if you'd so $1380 minus the 100 for cash is $1280 right?

Had issues re-registering my emissions monitors. 2012 Boss 302. I had to spend countless hours and hundreds of miles driving to no avail. Brought my car to Bill (Shannon) today, he was able to get all monitors registered in a few hours. I highly recommend this man for any smog related repairs, as well as any car repairs in general as he's a master mechanic. One thing to add, very trustworthy. Won't try to gouge you like some mechanics.

Congrats! Your search for an expert mechanic and smog certifier who will treat you like family is complete. After 5 years with an unknown code keeping my check engine light on, Shannon is the first to get it to turn off. He was straight with me every step of the way and surprisingly flexible with his availability. I found him because he is the only mechanic in the area who also does smog testing. Do you really want someone who's not licensed to assess engine safety messing with the inside of your car? That seems to be the norm these days, which is unfortunate because buying or leasing a new car in this economy is silly. Lucky for us, we have someone in the neighborhood who knows his stuff. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Shannon is great and he was very forthcoming about the smog check he did for our car. Process was simple and straight forward and he did an excellent job communicating our Honda's issues.

I randomly found this business on yelp and cannot say enough good things. Took me right away took less than 15 minutes and the owner runs a one man small business and was terrific. I would support a small business over any other and cannot recommend this business enough!! Thank you!!

This place is more of an Auto repair shop than anything but it's a great spot for smog checks as well. It's a family owned and operated business and the owner Shannon has worked on my wife's BMW X7 multiple times , at a fraction of dealership costs, knows what he is doing. I like that he doesn't try to push things on me to be fixed when they are working fine like other places have tried to do to me in the past. I finally found someone I feel I can trust and won't be going anywhere else for the years to come.

Got a smog check done today. Flat rate $35 fee plus certificate cost. Shannon was very responsive through Yelp, friendly, and started right after I arrived. Will definitely be my go to for smog and will follow up on additional services he listed. Overall great experience.

My car just needed a smog check, but Shannon was very kind as to check my tires and fluids, making sure the car was functioning right holistically. I am a young female professional and he was very straight forward with the cost and talked me through the process. No BS. Very good small business. Definitely recommend.
