Having just finished my son's Parent Teacher conference as he prepares to leave Kindergarten and head to first grade, I wanted to make a point of leaving a stellar review for the school. Just last week I was with the parent of one of my son's classmates, and we discussed how spectacular this school is, despite our initial concerns that it was a "corporate" daycare / learning facility. The feeling here in CA, especially in Silicon Valley, can often lead you to believe that your children would be better off in a private, Montessori-style school where your kids will be white-gloved and given the best possible preparation for what's ahead. The reality of this Kinder Care at Jacklin Commons couldn't be more different. Specifically, Miss Ilma, who has been teaching TK and Kindergarten for over 25 years--at the same school--is an absolute star. I cannot express more clearly that the parents who get to put their kids with Miss Ilma are lucky. I would be hard-pressed to find another teacher of her calibre across Santa Clara Valley. My son aced his state test scores, and will be entering public grade school fully prepared to excel and continue growing. I cannot imagine having had another teacher. Additionally, we enrolled our daughter in Pre-K (2's/3's) at JCKC. She is the first student at the school to have Down syndrome. Not only did the teachers take her in knowing that for them it might be a challenge, but they have accepted her as part of the group, and given her the extra attention she needs to excel at her own pace. To say that she has developed leaps and bounds in the last eight months is an understatement. The level of care and concern that the entire staff have shown both of my children is beyond compare. If you're looking for one of the best schools in Santa Clara Valley to send your children to prepare for grade school, look at Jacklin Commons Kinder Care. It's far more than a corporate daycare. It's a school filled with tremendous soul, exceptional teachers, and a staff that dedicate themselves to the wellbeing of the entire student body. Pound for pound, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better facility in the area.

I have two kids, two and five years old, attending this school for the year, it has been a wonderful experience with the care of my child, communication, billing, and accommodating with our unpredictability schedule. A huge thanks to Ms Elma for taking her time/effort in teaching/encouraging my daughter to learn how to read and write. My daughter didn't know how to read or write when she attended the school as pre-k, now she can read and write really well for her age! My other daughter has been well developed transition from infant to discovery/toddler. The school communicate well in advance of their plan for both of our kids programs and anything happen to happen during/after care.

5 stars for Jacklin Commons Kindercare. My oldest son started out in Discovery Preschool (2's) and completed kindergarten here. With distance learning going on almost everywhere else last year, I was happy to have my son be able attend in-person kindergarten. The classroom was capped at 12 students. His teacher is the best. I've seen so much growth and confidence in my son. Staff and teachers here are all wonderful. My kids enjoy going to school. During the months the school was closed early during the pandemic, my kids would walk around the house pretending to go to school. My youngest son started in the Toddlers (1's) class and transitioned over to the Preschool six months ago and is thriving in his new classroom. He seems to be picking everything up really quickly and talks way too much now. He loves coming home and singing and talking about his teachers and friends.

We have been with Jacklin Commons KinderCare for almost 4 years now. There were up and down periods and I think it is at its best right now. The current manager is very responsible and responsive. Their TK/Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Ilma, is the best teacher you can ever get. I am grateful that my older is with her and younger one will be with her soon.

We were recommended by a friend to go to KinderCare and we are so happy that we have sent our daughters there for 4 years. All the teachers have been great taking good care of the students especially now with COVID. When my daughter first started in the 2-year old class, the teacher helped potty trained her within a week. In her last year of Kindergarten, she was evaluated at the 3rd grade level on her state test. Ms. Ilma is one of the best teachers we have come across, she super caring and really knows how to steer the children to learn. That is the reason why we have decided to keep our daughter in KinderCare for another year as a Kindergarten instead of going to a public school. It was the best decision we made, especially during COVID. Not to mention the center has great business hours, which was very easy for pick up and drop-offs.Another big plus of going to a bigger daycare center is that they have access to a lot of other benefits. Kindercare offers an app which shares photos of the kids throughout the day and offers another easy way for us to contact the center. Now that we're at a public school we miss all the photos shared.

We have been with Jacklin Commons KinderCare for more than 4 years now. It is at its best right now. The center manager, Ms. Evelyn, is very responsible and responsive. Their TK/Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Ilma, is the BEST teacher your TK/K kids can ever have. I am grateful that my older one spent two awesome years (TK & K) with Ms. Ilma and my younger one is going to enjoy the same now.

My son went to the Jacklin Commons, once starting at 7 months until about 13 months due to covid starting in March 2020. He was an extremely picky eater as a baby and wouldn't take the bottle. They made sure to feed and take care of him appropriately. I loved all the updates on the app they used. The staff was amazing. I sent him back recently in the middle of June 2021 and my son had a tough transition. However, the communication and care from the staff helped him transition well. I unfortunately was not ready to have him stay with the new varient going around and just recently pulled him out. He misses it and the short time he was there he picked up so many songs and sings and asks to go back. Overall the center and staff are all amazing and when I'm ready I will definitely send him back.

I sent my daughter to Jacklin Commons Kindercare for 1.5 years. Started when she was 16 months old . I have found the teachers to be very caring and loving. My daughter adjusted very well and loved going to school. She has learnt so much and grown so much in terms of her personality during her time here. Evelyn, the center director manages the center very well and she is always there to support the families with any questions and requests they have. The center is well maintained in terms of cleanliness and variety of toys/materials.I want to specially appreciate the center for following covid protocols and doing everything they can to keep the environment for our kids safe and healthy! It has not been an easy year but they have done really well managing everything and giving us a sense of assurance that our kids are kept as safe as possible. I would've never left the center, but for our move out of the area! Wish the management and the teachers the very best!

My 8 month old daughter has been going here since she was 3 months old. She LOVES it. Her teachers are very caring and nurturing, and my baby is nothing but smiles when I drop her off and pick her up! Any time we’ve had a concern the new center director Ms. Evelyn addresses them very quickly.

Terrible, terrible, terrible experience. I can't believe an education institution is led by a completely liar, and how can it hold its moral standard. We were evaluating this place for our 2 children, and met the director Ms.J there in mid May. Our first visit was actually pretty impressive, then we requested a half day trial for both our kids. Ms.J asked us to wait till early June and will call us back, which was fine. After a number of phone calls, she sounds clearly a little impatient in the call and asked us to go to her office to discuss before 9am on 6/8. We showed up at 8:50am and didn't see her in her office, she finally came in around 10:30am, and with a number of other things to take care, which was also fine. We finally met her, and she confirmed with us that we can come for the half-day trial for both of our kids on the following Monday at 8:15am to start the trial and meet her to finish the paper work. We arrived on time the following Monday with both girls, and as she suggested on Friday we sent the girls into their classes first and then tried to find Ms.J. Not surprisingly she was not there. We had to ask around and finally found her assistant. The assistant was extremely impatient and very rude. She first told us we can't have both trials, and they can only accommodate the younger one in the morning for half day, and one minute later just in front of us, she said we should only send the younger one after 1pm in the afternoon, and two minutes later, she said again we should come back on the next day, all kindly of BS. And she refused to let us talk to Ms.J on her cell phone, saying Ms.J is in an important meeting and will arrive around 10am, and 1 minute later she said Ms.J will not arrive at 10am, may be 1pm, I started seeing the "Trump Style" in preschool. And a minute later she wanted us to leave right way. We decided to stay to wait for Ms.J. While we were waiting, we watched our younger one in her class for 1 hour. She was left along and crying all the time. The teacher put the backpack on her, pushed her aside and didn't take care of her are all. When she tried to lead the kids to the outside play ground, she dragged my 2-year old daughter's shirt all the way to outside. My daughter tried to speak to her in the playground, and asked to go pee repeatedly, she completely ignored the request and we had to take her to the bathroom by ourselves. The teacher actually didn't know our dispute at all, and looks like this was her common practice. Finally, Ms.J showed up around 10pm, she said she was at doctors and had to come to handle this with us. (She looked absolutely fine.) She didn't acknowledge her promise three days ago, kept saying the trial was a courtesy. And then she said there was a boy with broken leg coming back today without notice, so she didn't have a space for the trial for our older one. All kind of BS. Another "Trump Style" time. We decided not to waste more time on a completely untrustworthy person, and a place led by such a untrustworthy person. We took our kids and ran.

Found this place to be reliable and convenient for infant care. Very parent friendly policies.

My daughter is in the Discovery Preschool (2-year-olds) and it's a wonderful curriculum in a friendly, supportive environment. My daughter was very sad that I was leaving her there after 2 years at home, but from the beginning she would come home and tell us about all the things she got to do and see in the class. Once she got used to it, she loved her teachers, especially Miss Vanessa, and quickly was potty-trained by Miss Margarita. She also learned how to play well with other kids. I really like how the kids are taught examples of how to resolve conflicts themselves rather than rely on an adult to resolve things through discipline (for example learning to take turns, deciding to play with toys that there are more of so everyone can play, etc.) Recently my daughter started complimenting people. On top of social skills, her vocabulary is expanding quickly and the preschool teacher, Miss Laura, is working with her to improve her drawing skills in preparation for writing letters. I would definitely recommend this daycare!

I have all 3 of my Kids at this center. I totally LOOOVVVEEE this daycare! I was nervous at first because on my children is only 3 months and he is very needy, but he is very much in love w/ the teachers! My 2 yr old has a great time and she talks about the friends and teachers every night when she gets home. As a parent that is very watchful of whom I allow to care for my children, I totally trust this center and the staff. They are very attentive to My needs and my children. Thank God! :)
