“Amazing service! I recently purchased a beautiful Art Deco diamond/platinum ring for my wife. From the moment I messaged Lang Antiques I was treated to excellent correspondence; they even put the ring I was interested in on hold while we discussed having it resized. When I ordered it they had it resized within a day (I was informed that's not always the case, and I'm sure that's dependent on how many orders they have), and they shipped it out quickly and it arrived just as quickly! Also, the shipping is discrete and nobody would know there's a piece of fine jewelry inside.Tracey McGrath was who I talked to, and she was incredible from start to finish. She answered all my questions promptly and really put my mind at ease, as this was my biggest online purchase to date. I cannot thank Tracey enough, and I have nothing but nice things to say about her.Overall, I highly recommend Lang Antiques if you are thinking about purchasing any kind of jewelry. “I was wandering along in San Francisco on my way to visit the bookbinder museum when I met the owner of The Box SF, Mark. When I told him I was interested in books and other historical items, he graciously invited me to enter his shop.The outside is discrete and belies how magical the inside space truly is. When you enter, you're immediately blown away by the vintage art and artifacts everywhere. Mark and his assistant, Israel, gave me a mini-tour and explained how the shop specializes in ephemera, which refers to items that were designed for short-term use (advertising prints, perfume bottles, soap labels, etc).The shop contains items from the mid-1800s to the early-1900s from around the world. Everything is in great condition and attests to the craftsmanship of earlier time periods. What was supposed to be a quick 20-30 minute visit turned into a 2-hour visit.Everywhere you turn, there's something new to take in. I love antique and thrift stores, yet I have never encountered anything as unique as The Box. I found some souvenirs to take home with me and even the wrapping paper was this cool, historical print.The Box is a treasure trove for people who love vintage, antique, or novel artifacts. If that's your style, you have to visit.”
“Always a pleasure calling upon the Brothers Biro with a task only they can fulfill with brilliant results! They are meticulous with the church plate I have entrusted to them over the years. This one pictured was no exception. Kudos to these gentlemen and their art! God grant them many years!”

“This is the last classic maritime store in the Fisherman's Wharf area. While everywhere else seems to have become a t-shirt shop, Frank's Fisherman sells authentic nautical items. Like a cool museum inside with a vast number of exciting items to browse. Also, lots of books, antiques, high end clothing are on display. A must stop shopping experience for real sailors, or anyone who is interested in the sea going lifestyle.”

“Discovered this place thanks to TikTok! I popped in to craft a charm bracelet, and it was such a delightful experience! Fortunately, it wasn't too crowded when I went, so I could leisurely choose my charms. Most charms are priced at $3 each, and the bracelet costs $15. Once you pay, they ask you to return later, but it only took around 20 minutes for them to finish it, so the wait wasn't bad at all! I also couldn't resist their adorable rings--they have such a variety! The service was top-notch too! I'll definitely be returning!”

“I've read these other reviews and have no idea what the reviewers are talking about. The Summer House staff has been amazing. I called a week ago and learned they had a sectional sofa I wanted to see that was being delivered in the next few days. I went to visit their beautiful store to see it in person and it hadn't arrived yet, but they took my name and number. They pulled it up on the website and we looked at dimensions. They let me blabber on about my current sad, sorry furniture and my concerns about wanting to love an expensive new piece of furniture. They called me today to say the sofa had arrived. The owner interrupted a meeting to go with me to the back to look at it since they haven't even had a chance to put it on the floor yet. She cut off the plastic wrap and told me to hang out there as long as I needed, and that it was being held for me. Her employee again pulled up the sofa on the website and spent a long time with me figuring out configurations and talking about measurements. She even let me talk about my dogs! Then they said I could take the sofa home for a trial run, if I pay delivery, but it's ok. I know I'm going to love this piece! I just couldn't see spending the money until I knew for sure. Bottom line they were attentive, lovely, knowledgeable, friendly and they made me feel comfortable and at ease. I'm no interior designer. I never felt unwelcome in the furniture store on Blithedale or the home decor store on Throckmorton. I'm going back this weekend to buy some pillows for the sofa. I'll repeat: lovely, friendly, knowledgeable, and very welcoming.”
