“I don't come here often, but in the times that I have, I always find what I need.This evening, I was in the market for pork steaks, and they have a huge selection of animal proteins. The meat counter, "carneceria," is located at the rear of the store.They also have an area that sells hot foods. I haven't checked it out yet, but I will.”
“I have been shopping here forever (20+ years) and I absolutely adore the employees, some of which I have known since they were across the street at the old location. I am always greeted with a smile and a few kind words. Have things changed? Sure, as does everything in life but having quality people running this location is what sets it's apart from other stores and makes the difference between being just another "supermarket" and it being the preferred local market where everybody knows your name and takes the initiative to have pride in their job and set it apart from the others!”
“Excellent selection of food. Cardenas Market has: Mexican Restaurant, Mexican Bakery, fruit bar, fully staffed meat and seafood department, tortilla factory, tortilla chips factory also. One stop shopping. The only thing missing is a pharmacy. No worries, Rite Aid is next door! Rite Aid has closed 1/2022. If you want, shrimp cocktail from the deli go between 11am - 1pm; it usually sells out quickly.9/10/2022 They added a big plasma screen TV in the deli dining area, had sports programming on. It's a nice diversion. Had a shrimp ? cocktail today with fruit juice and made in store jello (with other flavor chunks, yum yum).Don't forget Cardenas Market has taco Tuesday, tacos are very inexpensive only for today; only on Tuesdays.11/2023 Cardenas Market has added 4 self checkout stations. “It has changed owners over the years, but remains a very well serviced store. Lots of variety and imported fruits and vegetables, great hot food to go or dine in area and fresh bread everyday. Just beware when the parking lot is full, be ready to wait in line for a bit, so go early.”
