I brought an heirloom piece to Neil that is extremely sentimental to me. It's multi generational and from Europe. When I noticed it had broke, I was so concerned. It's a delicate ID gold bracelet that I have had for decades as a gift from my grandma. One jeweler was unable to fix it. Neil Dahl was highly recommended! I met with Neil. He was straightforward about the reality of what could be done and what couldn't be done. He was friendly, warm hearted and personable. I handed over my bracelet and hoped for the best. I just got it back today. Neil's team not only maintained the integrity of the gold piece but preserved it for decades to come. They Lasered the name ID to deepen the name, used the original clasp and sourced a very close to identical gold link bracelet to solder onto original pieces. Pricing was fair and most importantly, I got my pretty piece back and will always look at my wrist thinking of my late grandma. Thank you Neil and team!

Scammer, don't trust Neil. Inconsistencies in sales and knowledge. Go to a more reputable store that has been in business for decades and has a reputation to uphold. In addition, his store continues to move locations, that is a red flag: Palo Alto (T & C), Milpitas, now Menlo Park. Who knows where else they've been located.

I brought my own diamond in, and Neil prepared my wife's engagement ring and wedding band, and both turned out perfectly. No issues at all regarding timing or communication - Neil was great to work with.

Neil Dahl Jewelers is the kind of old-fashioned business you really don't find anymore--not old-fashioned in the style sense, but rather in how it values customers and how much pride they take in their work. I suspected this at the beginning as I primarily worked with Neil Dahl himself, and I knew this at the end because of their amazing work product and that they are clearly interested in building a long-term relationship. One thing to be aware of is that you are not likely to walk in and buy something off the shelf today. While he does have a collection of beautiful jewelry in stock, he largely works by appointment. If you are willing to make an appointment and tell him what you are looking for, he will guide you through some options and give you plenty of choices to meet any need or budget. In the past I've talked to and worked with jewelers in big cities like New York and Chicago, and Neil Dahl can hold his own with any of them. I had a custom piece designed for our anniversary and we worked with cutting-edge digital models in the design process. The craftsmanship on the final product was nothing short of perfection. On a smaller repair job, they overdelivered by making a delicate connection even stronger without me having to ask. Pretty much any jewelry task you can think of, whether it be custom gold-smithing, gemstone sourcing, or repairs large and small--his team can handle it. So whether you are looking for an heirloom quality piece, repairs, or just an honest opinion in a very opaque industry--I wholeheartedly recommend talking to Neil Dahl. You'll be glad you did.

My sister and I brought in a box of jewelry from our mother's estate to see what it was worth, for purposes of dividing it up fairly. Neil Dahl was so kind and generous with his time. He was able to tell us what was fake, and what the general value of the real pieces was. He also gave us an idea of the value of some silver flatware. We were so grateful for his expertise.

I just retired from being a jeweler after 50 years. Through a mutual acquaintance I was introduced to Neil. Because I retired, I left many of my clients, some of whom I have worked with for over 40 years, worried about finding a safe jeweler. I have now had a chance to interact with and get to know Neil very well. He is a very skilled person. He has the same passion I have for our profession. Bottom line - if you are looking for the right jeweler, you must use Neil. He has qualities that make him the perfect person to work with. He is honest, anxious to do the best possible job, and smart. I am sure that over his career he will create many treasured heirlooms.

I really liked working with Neil, especially if you want a custom piece. I've gone back to him 3x for big projects. He made my sapphire engagement ring, complimentary wedding band and converted my grandmother's diamond into a beautiful pendant. He made adjustments / repairs as needed and went above and beyond to make sure I was 100% satisfied will all pieces.

Neil is an absolutely gem of a human being and was a joy to work with. Neil helped us design our engagement ring and wedding bands, helping us find and set some unconventional gemstones to personalize our rings. He and his team provided excellent advice throughout the process and never made us feel pressured. Amidst all of the craziness of planning a wedding, I can say that getting to know Neil was a highlight!

My husband and I have bought several pieces of exquisite jewelry from Neil. He is extremely professional and has a personal touch that makes you feel as if you are his only customer. Neil created a custom pendant for me and it was gorgeous. He will give you a fair price and his undivided attention that you won’t find at other jewelry stores. Even though my husband and I have since moved out of state, we continue to do business with Neil. I highly recommend!!

This business required an appointment (maybe put in place a year ago, when Covid started?), despite the fact that I was just picking up a repair - a one minute transaction. I arrived eleven minutes early and was greeted with a scowl and made to feel unwelcome. Neil gave me a short lecture on respecting the appointment times while I picked up my item. All of this despite the fact that the store was empty of customers. It seems completely off to me that I need to arrive precisely on time at your place of business so I can complete a short transaction, even though you and your colleague are already there, in the store. Suggestion: drop the appointment times, unlock the door, remove the bell, and welcome your customers into your store!

I needed a ring sized up one. The staff was very friendly and the end product looks great. I will return to them again for any future work.
