Made an appointment with Brittney about 2 weeks ago. She cut my hair and we made a plan for dying my hair, highlights and I bought deep conditioning product to prepare for this 4 hour appointment. I get there and my appointment was moved from 12 pm to 1 pm. Then I go back at 1pm and she acts like we never made a plan, she acted like she couldn't hear me and told me she only booked me for a haircut. I don't expect the stylist to remember every customer however we talked about this for over a half hour I stood at the computer when she made the appointment. So disappointing. Just plain unprofessional. Goodbye JCPenny! No wonder many ppl quit you.

Funny how even though they’re advertised to close at 6:00pm and take walk-ins.. if you show up at 4:30-4:50pm and they have zero customers they still won’t see you.Service: Haircut

If I could put zero stars I would but Yelp requires a star. But JCPenny hair salon deserves a negative stars. They require an appointment but do not follow with the appointment time. I had made an appointment a week in advance for a haircut with the hairstylist Karam at 11 am. But she never arrived it wasn't until after waiting half an hour later that I decided to walk out. I was constantly told that she would arrive any minute.I don't understand why they require you to make an appointment and call you a day before to confirm your appointment if they are still not going to show up. I found out by the front desk person that they thought they started at 12. If I were the manager at this hair salon I would fire Karam because it is clear that she does not want to work. They should instead employ someone who has talent and who a lot more professional than Karam will ever be. Karam was extremely unprofessional and it was clear that even the manager and the other hairstylist were confused as to why she was not on time. Do yourself a favor and go to a different hair salon were they do value their customers time.

If you're looking for a fabulous facial look no further. I've been coming here for about 2-3 years. Ask for Karamjit. Literally, she is the best. Looking at your skin, she knows exactly what you need. She always takes such good care of me. Not only does she make my skin look and feel great, I walk out of there so relaxed. I love how she pampers me. I've had many facials in my life, Karamjit is the best!! She's very knowledgeable and she loves what she does. I'm a customer of hers for life.

Ring Order #1 April 1st: WORST WORST WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS S*** SHOW OF A PLACE! JCP IS RAN BY INCOMPETENT SALES ASSOCIATES AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGERS WHO HAVE A COMPLETELY DYSFUNCTIONAL SYSTEM IN AND OUT! FIRST RING PURCHASE THE ASSOCIATE FROM MERCED ORDERED THE WRONG SIZE. I CALLED THE SAME DAY AND INFORMED HER ABOUT THE ERROR, BUT SHE INSISTED I WAS WRONG AND JUST CONFUSED BECAUSE I TRIED ON MANY RINGS. THE RING CAME IN AND IT WAS THE WRONG SIZE. WHAT'S EVEN BETTER IS IT COULDN'T BE SIZED UP ENOUGH THROUGH THEM AND THEY THREATENED MY INSURANCE PLAN WOULD BE VOID IF I TOOK IT ELSEWHERE. THEN THE MANAGER ADVISED TO JUST COME IN AND RETURN THE RING AND PURCHASE A NEW ONE TO FIX THE ISSUE. I GO IN, PURCHASE THE NEW RING AND BEFORE I EVEN GET HOME THE MANAGER CALLS TO TELL ME THAT ACTUALLY THEY NO LONGER SELL THAT RING. (THIS IS ALSO AFTER BEING BOUNCED FROM MERCED TO TURLOCK TO MODESTO!!!) We ended up taking it to a COMPETENT jeweler who fixed the original ring for additional $ but now I have NO insurance plan in tact. RING #2 December 13: We shopped around other jewelers DREADING to go back to JCP but could not find a matching band. Our last shot was JCP which coincidentally had the perfect band to match the ring. This time, we are in Turlock and informed the associate that we were very uneasy about purchasing because of the first s*** show we went through. After speaking with her, she put as at ease and made us feel comfortable so we placed the order with her. It was supposed to arrive in two weeks. Two weeks went by and we received NOTHING. I checked the status online Saturday since it never arrived on Friday and it showed "cancelled," but they conveniently charged me for the jewelers protection plan still. I called the 800# and she stated it was cancelled from the distribution center because the coupon code provided was no longer available. WE NEVER WENT IN WITH A COUPON!!!! Basically they don't honor any sales that are going on in store (WHICH THE EMPLOYEE INSERTED HERSELF), don't care what the receipt shows, and don't have the COMMON DECENCY to notify you for s*** if they cancel your ring order. Called the Turlock jewelry department and they told a different story. They said they were never notified that the order was cancelled and just found out today. Really? You found out the day after it was supposed to be delivered that it was cancelled??? And on top of that, her excuse was that the ring order was cancelled because "they were no longer manufacturing it." On top of that, she couldn't tell me who her own district manager was. It's like dealing with clowns at a circus, just less humorous. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

I have been to the JCPENNY salon in Manteca, CA four times in the last year for cut and highlights and had different stylists each time. I was unhappy with the cuts the first three times until my 4th visit with Brittany. She is absolutely amazing....excellent hairstylist. She listens to your needs and concerns and discusses them with you. I am very picky about my hair and for the first time I walked away from my appointment with Brittany having not one complaint. I cannot say enough good things about her. She's a professional and amazing hairstylist!! I will no longer allow anyone else except Brittany to cut or color my hair!

Smaller than most JCPENNEY stores but not as much foot traffic which is good and customer service is great
