Big shout out to Sarah and her co-workers.. I called late before looking for a baseball glove... instead of putting me on hold for a couple minutes and saying they didn't have the glove, they went through the inventory and found the glove, had it waiting at the checkout and was able to purchase it 15 minutes later. This is Customer Service at its finest. Thank you!!!

Luis saved Christmas! He helped me when I was in a bind looking for 2 shirts for our family photos. His service was excellent and I am grateful to him for all his help. Big 5 in general has always had great customer service which is what continues to bring me into their stores.

So-So service in the store area. Not one smile or a cordial "how can I help you Sir". Just a "Ya let me check in the back" and a "here you go" when they hand you the shoes.We get to the counter and I show them the picture of the coupon I took from home. Coupon also says "show barcode to cashier in store" above the barcode. They said they would not accept barcode without a date on it. It did not say that on my email ad. He would not even scan the barcode to verify if authentic or not. He even called the Sup/Manager over to look at it. She said "No". I have dealt with Sup a few time in the past. She has the wrong demeanor for Sup/Manager. Maybe thats where the employees get their attitude from. I am sure a simple scan would have verify the coupons validity. I have used their coupons many times before with no issues.This was only a $5 coupon. Not THAT big of a deal. But this is the last time. I have had many issues at this location. DONT spend your money at Manteca Big 5. Go to Tracy, Modesto....anywhere but Manteca Big 5. Terrible customer relations/service !

A few years ago I walked into this store thinking they sold vinyl but no it's a sports store not a music store. Was kinda bummed but I said fuck it what have I got to lose and walked inside. This was honestly the best decision I have ever made. They just have so much stuff in here. I spend most of my days by the bowling section just looking around and chilling and vibing. The handsome gentlemen that works the shoe section is always eager to help. The cashiers are always so friendly and joyous. It's like I'm not even in Manteca anymore and like I get teleported to awesome sauce ville. Wow I feel so happy just talking about this place. Oh how I love it so. Every day I wake up and scream with excitement knowing that I'm driving straight to Big 5. Thank you for always being there for me Big 5 Manteca, and I will always be inside you.

I came here for shoes and they had a wide selection of shoes to pick from. The staff there was friendly and helpful. All in all it was a good experience.
