So on September 25th me and my brother went into GameStop to buy a Xbox Series S console. My brother paid before the Assistant manager David Romero went to the back to retrieve the console. David and his other employee helped each other bag it. The bag ripped and they re-bagged it again. We left the store with what we believed was the right console. I drove off and was at the stop light when David knocked on my passenger window asking if I could come back because a mix up with the warranty. I said I didn’t find it necessary to go back when they placed a sticker on the box and I also have my receipt. I continued with my errands when a family member called and said GameStop employees called him saying again about a warranty and I need to go back. Not until we got home we noticed they gave us the Xbox Series X instead of the S and that’s the real reason they wanted us to go back. GameStops store manager called my family member again saying we “stole” the Xbox and that they were going to report it stolen because that’s not the Xbox we paid for. When it was the assistant managers fault for giving out the wrong product. How does something like that happen? I’m sure David had worked there for quite some time if he’s the assistant manager. He should’ve known better, I personally never seen the new Xbox’s so I didn’t know what it was supposed to look like. David works at a game store. As well as the other employee who helped him bag it. I get that mistakes happen but store managers aren’t supposed to call and make accusations and threats to customers because of an employee’s mistake. Everyone who’s worked in retail knows that the company is responsible for their employees mistakes. The store manager was twisting the scenario trying to make it seem as if we knew that it was the wrong console they were giving us because when my brother called the store manager to talk to him after the threats he made, my brother did acknowledge that he knew it was the wrong console when he got home and opened it up, not prior from leaving the store. We went in on Friday and The store manager also mentioned, when he was arguing with me, the calls are recorded and he falsely stated that my brother told him that he did know prior from leaving the store and he has the recording. I asked to hear the recording and the store manager got hostile and called the police officer he was in contact with but they didn’t answer. Also when you call GameStop it does not state that the calls are being recorded. In California it’s illegal to record calls without both parties knowing so idk how they’re getting away with that.. Anyways poor management and incompetent employees. We shouldn’t have been threatened over an employee’s mistake.

When ordering Funko POPs! Be aware that the date they tell you won’t be the actual date they come in, I say this because I’ve been waiting patiently for my item to arrive since the 1/20/2022& I’m currently on 3/4/2022& still nothing, even though they have been released still nothing, don’t take your chances with these people, all they’ll do is tell you sorry& wait.

The husband and I came in to use an old gift card, not even sure if we were actually committed to buying anything - just browsing. We walk in, bright lights, clean floors, welcoming entrance display and ORGANIZED! Clean. Stocked. Not cluttered. We've been in so many GameStops but NEVER one this well taken care of. Never. I was shocked. I have worked in retail and maintaining that is NOT easy. Kudos to the staff, the team, the management - your store should be the region example of how a store should run and look. Please let upper upper upper upper management know how well your team is doing - they deserve to know.

I do not recommend going here no matter what. I went there to buy a ps4 controller from them because I know they sell refurbished controllers. I got there and they had no controllers in stock but was sold on the fact that there was free 2-4 day shipping so I decided not to go across the street and get one from Walmart which ended up being a huge mistake. It wasn’t until 5 days after purchasing that the status was changed to shipped but it wasn’t shipped to me, it was shipped to a location in Texas. Another 2 days have passed and it said it was going to arrive by the end of the day and I didn’t receive it so I looked again and it now says it will arrive in another 2 days for a grand total of 9 days after I ordered it and 5 days past the max amount of time it was supposed to take to get to me. I will update this when it gets to me but I am honestly not entirely sure it will ever get to me. Going to this game stop was a terrible mistake, one that I will never make again and I hope no one else that reads this does either. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else, anywhere else.
