This is one of the oldest and greatest all Martial Arts stores in the North Hollywood area of Los Angeles on Lankershim Blvd. They have EVERYTHING you're looking for, and the people who own it are the nicest you'll meet. I not only come here for various weapons I need in practice, but to buy decor for my place. Visit them and you'll be coming back! And yes, Mr. Miyagi approves them and is on the outside wall!

NOTE: LAST WENT TO THIS STORE IN 2019. As a practicing martial artist, I greatly appreciate that this store is still around (to the best of my knowledge and given that their website is still active). It's nice to discover unique gear/supplies (particularly weapons) that you'd miss if you went on a quick search on eBay or Amazon for what you're looking for. They have what most martial artists would need (uniforms, weapons, and other gear). They also sell order, out of print books and DVD's that are hard to come by nowadays. The only improvement I would recommend would be to update the online store with more items; I know I saw way more items at the physical store than at the online store! Local businesses need our help, and this is no exception. Once things get better regarding COVID-19, I plan to visit this location again and buy whatever gear I may need (It's quite a drive from my home, especially during COVID-19 times).

Great customer service, ready to answer questions, and downright solid prices! Parking in the area isn't too tricky if you're willing to walk further than twenty feet, overall a very solid experience! 10/10

I find this store not very welcoming. For one, they have a sign that asks you to knock because there is no one actually mining the store. They are usually in the back hoping to hear you knock on the door. Then you are greeted by a barking dog that they like to keep unleashed within the store. When you say you want the dog away from you they just walk away and don't bother opening the door. I'm guessing business is great since they don't seem to care about their potential customers.. ......
RESPONSE- well you said it yourself, you have no employees so I'm not sure how you manage a supply store with no employees.
As for your dog, when the person came to the door (with the barking dog) I waved the dog away because I did not want to come in with the dog barking at me but since the "employee" didn't bother to open the door to inquire further as to if I wanted to come in or not, I didn't bother to knock again. It's just bad for business to have a loose dog roaming the store no matter how friendly they seem.
Not to mention the clothes you sell could potentially have dog hairs on it which some people may be allergic to.
