Dinner, drinks & dancing - Great time with friends! Love this place. Started off in bar area and then headed upstairs on a Friday with new dancers added. Shut the spot down with my crew @ 2am.

We went to Federal Bar on a Wednesday night while in town on vacation. Don't be fooled by the exterior. It's quite large inside with a second dining room in back. The service was great, the menu was interesting and the quality of the food was very good. There are two separate bars, with a variety of seating options from small tables for two to large areas for groups. If I lived locally, this would be my go-to place!

I come here once a week on average; its close to my work and has become one of my all-time favorites. On this particular evening, our server was Sarah, and I have to say they are all great, but she was exceptional!! Just came across as really genuine, she was appropriately attentive, knowledgeable, honest, and made us feel even more at home than we already are. The food was awesome as usual! I'm never disappointed here.

Unfortunately our food was not good at all, we were all very disappointed with our meals for various reasons. We normally like the Federal for dinner and drinks, but the brunch was pretty dismal. Service was great though.

The food and service was clearly a 5 for a bar setting. My wife and I had a great time and would highly recommend this bar/grill. The artichoke was fantastic, as was the habanero burger. It you like things hot, ask for additional grilled habaneros! We will definitely stop there again on our next visit to north Hollywood.

Went with a couple of friends for their brunch which is great. Their French toast is really, really good. It includes bottomless mimosas. I've been here a couple of times before and the mimosas were good. This last time, not so much. Of course, then I look over and I saw them pour the "champagne" from a plastic milk jug.... Having said this, the brunch items are still really good.

Unfortunately our table was not available as reserved, we were told that we could sit at the bar, the bar was full or had reserved signs at many of the seats. We sat on bench seats in the back room only to be told that we could not sit there because this area had been reserved. Awkward! The hostesses were trying to do their best to help and offered to ask the party at the table to leave, since they had been at the booth for over two hours. We said we would just rather sit at any available table. The staff and waitress were trying to please.

First time there for dinner before the theater. LOVED THE PLACE. Great Happy Hour prices, excellent food, and our waitress, Britney was a real gem; happy, cheerful, efficient, helpful and cute. We're going back very soon.

Finally got in here and glad we did. Food was all very good and plentiful. Drinks were very good as was service. Place is pretty cool too! A great duo was playing music in the back room which was fun.

Our experience at the The Federal was excellent! Since it was Super Bowl Sunday and we were indifferent about the game, we were seated in the back area, which was nearly empty compared to the packed front area. We sat in a cozy booth and were feeling very snack-y, so just continued ordering drinks and pass arounds. Our waitress was AMAZING and checked in the right amount. She was also so pleasant.

We made a reservation for dinner before the Comedy Sportz show next door. Traffic was making us late so we called the restaurant and they held our reservation for us. We really appreciated that. Good grilled cheese sandwiches and wonderful soup. It's a lively place, so it can get a little noisy. But it's a fun atmosphere. Service was a little slow, but they were busy. The staff was friendly.

The food was good but the service left a bit to be desired. We sat down and we're given drink service pretty quick, but it took longer than it should have to get our food. Other tables around us who sat after we did received their food and we're finished before we had ours. Word to the wise- if you go on a Friday, make sure you're not in a hurry to eat.

A group of six friends hit up the Federal for NYE 2016. Couldn't believe how chill it was, which was such a nice departure from previous celebrations. The staff were friendly and super attentive. We got to hang at our table for a long time, enjoying drinks and toasting to 2017.

Great food choices! Loved the cauliflower buffalo appetizer, the burrata toast and the blackened salmon kale salad. Definitely lots of items to come back and try next time. I'll probably try the Vanilla Manhattan too. Sounds unique and delicious
