A lot of 1 star reviews act angry because you have to pay a fee during in-takes. They're a private rescue who can't cover all the vet or health related costs themselves. If you think up to $2,500 is expensive, imagine taking in several cats. Most other rescues who cover that cost are full. I have seen several high quality rescues either charge roughly this amount for take-ins. Those will do a 2 week quarantine for vet visits before intriducing to the whole cat group. I implore readers to do their research before hunting for a pet or for a rescue to drop off a stray.

Yaaaay, more cats found homes. We had a great time visiting these lovelies. They want people to visit. Great place to be peaceful for awhile. Call ahead for open times. Little Zoe will greet you.

I think this is my favorite place in all of LA! All the cats here are older (7+ years) which I really love. It's basically a small house run by cats! They have a large outdoor area as well, and the cats seem to really love it here. There's a mix of very friendly cats who love to be pet as well as some that are quite shy. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they'll give you their honest comments about any of the cats to make sure it'll be a good match. They also make sure to let you know there is no pressure to adopt, so we've been in to simply hang out with the cats. It's so relaxing and quiet, and the place is very clean! I could spend all day here. One thing to note is that parking is honestly very difficult, so be prepared for that. I'll be spending time here on a regular basis; I'm so glad to have found this place!

Pet Pride is probably one of my favorite shelters in Los Angeles because they take in senior cats at 7+ years who've had hard lives and resocialize them to be taken home to a loving family. The staff member who runs the place is very patient, knowledgeable and overall amazing person. The space is very cool because it's a 3 bedroom house converted into a cat sanctuary. Kudos to their staff for keeping the building very clean considering about 20 cats live there. Some things to know before going: * parking is limited in the area and the streets tend to get very busy since it is near the freeway. * to adopt they ask that you visit the cats 3-5x before taking them home. You probably can't adopt on the day of. * the adoption fee is $100 and the cats are spayed/neutered, had regular vet check ups and have all their shots * they do accept walk ins and you can actually get to meet the cats. Just be aware that their hours as of today currently close at 3 letting the last people in at 2, so get there before 2 if you'd like to enter. Please visit the cats here. They'll be so excited to see you!

Wonderful human beings! They gave me hope when I was about to lose faith in humans and helped me and Francis the cat in a way I wasn't expecting. Forever grateful.

Appreciation they say is an application for more. if i fail to acknowledge you it'll shows how ungrateful i am. I can't be less grateful to a man who God has used in blessing me and my family in general. I was introduced to Mr Williams Johnson few weeks back Right now I know how much I can boast off about my financial state. he helped me with the little capital I invested with and I made so much profit for myself and my family. Thank you so much Mr Williams Johnson, and if you are also finding it difficult trading for yourself contact him now through this.

Last week I adopted a cat named Penny from here. The man who greeted us when we arrived at the shelter was super friendly and told us there was no pressure to adopt. He showed us to the cats and gave us space to meet them but was close by and able to answer all our questions. They kept the cat space super tidy. He was honest in his reviews of all the cats. We visited the shelter 3 times before taking her home. She had all her shots and had recently been to the vet. She was one of the youngest cats at this shelter- about 7 years old. After a week of having her I know she is the perfect cat for me and feel super grateful to pet pride for helping me feel so comfortable in the process.

This is a great place to adopt a cat. I got my sweet kitty here 3 years ago. Now he’s living the best life with me. Don’t hesitate to go there. Pic is a recent photo of my cat.

3 years later I came back to donate some cat food. Rodrigo is still there, which makes me happy. There are fewer cats now, but some cats are so friendly, especially Arthur who keeps asking for pets. Hedley is so skinny and thin. I will come back with some senior cat food for him and other kitties.
