My wife and I chose a synthetic flooring to replace some very crappy-looking Pergo we had in our living room-kitchen area and my intention was to install it while the wife was out of town. I'd installed flooring before and it'd gone OK but this was a more complex installation and 1/2 way through the job I realized I could not do the install. I called Midtown in a blind panic - wife home in a matter of days - and they were able to hook me up with an installer who rode to the rescue. Midtown was great to deal with and bailed me out of a tight spot with the installer they recommended. Good outfit, and I'm always glad to support a local outfit - like Home Depot and Lowe's don't already have enough money.........

Everything from picking out the floor that is right for you to the installation, they walk you through every step of the way ensuring absolute satisfaction. Hands-down...the best in LA.

Midtown did a great job with our hardwood floor installation. Project looks great. I was having a closet redone as well and needed the floor project completed in time for the closet contractor. Max worked with me to be sure everything was done in time and the project didn't get delayed.

In the rare event that you find yourself in need of a quick recommendation, I wholeheartedly suggest shopping here. As for the rest of you, prepare for an exceptionally special review.Every now and then, serendipity graces us with an encounter with someone truly unique. Today happened to be that day for me.I urgently required a room to be carpeted. I reached out to many exploring options from large vendors, including names like Costco, among others. To my dismay, the seemingly straightforward task of purchasing carpet turned out to be needlessly intricate and time-consuming. That's when I turned to Yelp and discovered Midtown Carpet and Flooring Co.Right from the start they stood out, there was no automated answering service evading my questions. Serendipity struck, David answered my call and In just five minutes, he provided me with all the information I needed. He assured me I could come in, select my carpet, and have it installed within 2 days. Sold on the idea, I decided to embark on a 40-minute drive, solely to accomplish this seemingly small task.Here's the kicker: David is truly a unique and exceptional individual. Picture old-fashioned values and customer service skills that we all yearn for, but seldom encounter these days. He greeted me with his business card--a touch I appreciated. As I needed to confer with some family members, he attended to another woman.Observing his interaction with this other customer was a delight. He exuded politeness and insisted on carrying the sample to her car. Who does that anymore?Truth be told, I'm uncertain about how the carpeting job will turn out. I'm hastily penning this review because, in a way, it's less about the carpet and more about David.David is a consummate businessman and possibly one of the most intriguing individuals you'll ever meet. He's not only a business owner, but also an artist. When you step into the shop, you'll be greeted by his artwork gracing the walls. Additionally, he's a seasoned photographer, having journeyed across the globe to capture images that would make National Geographic proud. I'd recommend finding his book online for purchase, it is stunning.. Take a moment to view the photograph I took of him proudly holding it. He was eager to discuss these endeavors, recognizing them as a legacy he's leaving for his grandchildren. Maybe you're in the market for carpet or wooden flooring, or perhaps you simply yearn to experience a wholly unique individual. Pay a visit to his shop and relish the experience. It's unlike anything you're likely to encounter again.As for the rest of the family, I am not sure if they would appreciate the public stopping in just to peruse David's artwork but as far as I am concerned, it is a must do experience in Los Angeles. Stop in , talk to David about his art and perhaps buy some flooring. You will not regret it.---

This is a five-star business and then some. Max and his team were excellent at every step in our project. They quoted replacing the carpet in our bedrooms with engineered wood floors and were clear about costs and labor. In comparison to the two other quotes I received they were fair and did not overcharge. Once it came to installation they were quick, efficient and yet they never skimped on quality or craftsmanship (in fact, their work was superior to the flooring another vendor had installed in our kitchen and living room). At the end of the job I pointed out that some quoted materials had not been used. Max subtracted them from the quote. We ended up paying less than we had budgeted, which made us feel great. I can't recommend this business highly enough. They are honest, professional and care about you as a customer. I've already recommended them to a friend and a family member.

We were in midst of fixing up the family house. last minute decision that two small bedrooms (12x12) needed new carpeting (they really did. Lol.). Stopped by on a Thursday 1pm, and somebody was able to come out and do an estimate. Our carpet pick was in stock and they lined up an installer. Cut to chase, they arrived on Saturday at 830am, stripped out old carpet, and by 130pm were finished. Great job. Highly recommend you give them a call.

We are so impressed with the quality of flooring options Midtown Carpet and Flooring had to offer. We must have borrowed numerous floor samples before we made a final selection. The Family at Midtown C&F were so honest and knowledgeable, making our decision easier than we expected. Once the floors were installed we were instantly in love! We initially decided to only cover the living spaces, then decided last minute it was worth extending the flooring into the kitchen. Best decision made! We highly recommend Midtown C&F to everyone.

Midtown did a fabulous job with our floors! Max was super responsive to our 800 questions, and his crew - Alex and team - did a fantastic job. It took 5 days to redo our whole home - they were super careful when moving our furniture and really worked hard. It’s like a whole new house. The owner’s dad stopped by three times to check on the progress too which was a really nice touch. Thank you!

Midtown carpet hits it out of the park again! We have a business in Eagle Rock and Midtown has done our flooring since 2011. As a business owner, I am always reminded when working with them, how to do great business. The job isn't over until everyone is satisfied. Qayum is the finest businessman I've ever met. The pride Midtown Carpet takes in every single job is so refreshing. It's not just the owner that cares, it's the installers as well. A joy to work with- they were early to the job and worked to make it perfect. They care about the work they do and we so appreciate this. When we need flooring, we don't even shop around. We know once they're on it, we don't have to sweat anything. Such a relief to know it will be done right! Many, many thanks!!

There are nightmare stories about dealing with contractors and vendors for home improvements but it was a pleasant dream working with Midtown Carpet and Flooring. Flooring needed to be replaced due to water damage so I searched Yelp for a vendor. After reading through the reviews I went to check out Midtown's showroom to view their materials selection. I spoke with David who listened to the aesthetic style I wanted and systematically walked me through all the flooring options available. They had a very large selection to choose from! I had previously had hardwood floors so was going to purchase the same but David asked questions about lifestyle to warn me about wear and tear. Since we have a dog he recommended I go with vinyl plank flooring instead of natural wood because it would be more water resistant and durable. I appreciated this because hardwood would have been more expensive and would have required more maintenance and replacement, which meant future business down the line for Midtown, but he seemed to care more about my satisfaction than an up-sale. Max met me at my property to take formal measurements and provide a breakdown of cost. He was prompt, courteous, friendly, and was just a straight talker when walking me through the details. He even brought the flooring samples I had selected in the showroom so I could see the colors at my place, in context with natural light, artificial light, and with wall color. He provided a written line item invoice and even followed-up with an e-mail. He was knowledgeable and quoted additional materials that may be needed but could be removed from final invoice if not used. He was a great communicator during every step -- ordering materials, selecting trim, checking inventory, notification of receipt of materials. Edmond did a fantastic job with installation and completed work days ahead of schedule. (A vendor who not only met their deadline but delivered early!!) Midtown poured a new foundation ahead of installing the flooring. While working the project they noticed there were uneven sections in my home and used extra materials to ensure a level base ahead of continuing work. I am very very pleased with the final outcome. I loved working with this family owned business who definitely had the experience and professionalism I was hoping to find.

Our third project working with Midtown Carpet and Flooring and we are very pleased with the customer service from start to finish. Max is a good listener and helped me better understand today's carpet industry. Max took the time to specify what prep was needed on our part for installation day to run smoothly. Very much appreciate these details! Their installation crew was on time and left the house better than they found it :) Family run business which, I felt, made communication easier as all parties understood their jobs well. Their showroom has a wide selection of carpet and tile. Definitely would work with Midtown Carpet and Flooring again in the future.
