I was excited to try Majordomo and had high hopes. I have to say that overall I wasn't blown away. There were three in our party. For starters, we ordered oysters, egg & roe, and marinated summer squash, The oysters did not taste the freshest and the kimchi and kombu sauces just didn't seem right. The egg & roe seemed novel, and was ok, but not such a standout. The marinated summer squash was tasty, it not just a fancy ban chan. For the main, we went wit the bo sam. It was a huge slab, very tender, and delicious. However the amount of lettuce cups and condiments provided was insufficient. We literally needed 3 times the amount for the amount of meat. And being a serious kimchi aficionado, I was honestly disappointed in it. Very sour. We tried each dessert, and really liked the matcha trifle. The other two left a lot to be desired and we didn't finish them. Majordomo has a very extensive (and pricey!) wine list, and this, I assume would come with a knowledgeable sommelier. Sadly he didn't seem to know a lot and when we asked him about some specific wines, he had to go off and research them (and consult a colleague), coming back 15 minutes later to tell us about them. I could have sooner looked them up on my phone. Fortunately, I did some research beforehand so I knew what to order. But I always like to test the staff when they are selling really expensive stuff. It was fun to try the place, but I'm not chomping at the bit to go back.

COST: $24 (Crispy Pork Belly) $43 (Fried Skate Rice) $18 (Whatever it was in the Kitty Cat cocktail) Someone had asked me to go here recently, and my immediate reaction was a swift no judging from my last experience here. Why? I thought it was "elevated" Asian food which was decent at best, but overpriced as heck. I'm not one to usually scoff at prices, but the quality has to be good. The Crispy Pork Belly tasted underflavored and bland. The price wasn't too bad, but it was very unmemorable. The worst offender of the night has got to be the Fried Skate Rice which was somehow expensive for what it was. Sure it wasn't seasoned but it had nothing but scallions, sauces and a fried egg. Why did it cost this much? The only saving grace was the cocktails my group had. They were stiff and tasty and it kinda saved the night for us. Looking at their updated menu and the recent reviews, it seems like I'm overdue for a return. I'm hoping I'd have a way better experience this time. I shall report back!

Been a fan of David Chang and Momofuku, and was excited to try Majordomo. Got lucky and snagged a reservation for our group of six. Driving up to the restaurant we thought we were lost... it was kinda sketchy and didn't seem to have many other restaurants near by. We found parking on the street right next to the restaurant. Drinks: Our group really gravitated to The Hurricane - a fruity cocktail with passionfruit and mango served in the cutest cat shaped cup. Very refreshing to go along with the large feast. Food: For our main we ordered the Bo Ssam. The menu suggests it serves 4-5 people, but we had plenty of leftovers. The meat was sooooo tender and juicy. Absolutely delicious and went well with the condiments and rice. We also ordered a variety of veggie dishes from the Market & Snacks section to compliment our meal. The fried cauliflower, roasted gai-lan, and stuffed peppers were all delicious. Needless to say, our group of 6 gals were unable to finish the large portions of food and sadly did not try any of the dessert. Overall, this place served some amazing modern Korean dishes. The food was plentiful and delicious, would definitely come back.

I have been planning to go to Majordomo for a few years now, as a big fan of David Chang I had very high expectations and boy were my expectations met. The service was incredible, the staff were very friendly and informative, the food was out of this world and the prices were super reasonable. The first bite of the honey lamb and butter with the soft bread took me back to my childhood in Morocco. The Hamachi and shishito-filled peppers were also incredible. We ordered the whole chicken which we loved so much we took some home! The drinks were made to perfection. The server offered us free scallops as the food is all made fresh and they wouldn't waste bites of heaven. It is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants in LA and I plan on going back very soon.

That's fantastic! My favorite meals were all present! The most trustworthy and reputable restaurant in town. I had no idea this amazing restaurant would have such lovely staff and cooks to make everything I want. It's worth paying for! The color of the area was stunning, and it was really relaxing to my skin. Positive responses!

I've been to a few places that David Chang has opened in Vegas and have thoroughly enjoyed each place. I was very excited to come and try this place. Reservations are tough but definitely a lot easier with a bigger group. Plus, you want to go with a bigger group anyways to get to try more food! I was able to get a reservation a month in advance and ordered the bing with honey and butter, stuffed shisito peppers, and bo ssam ( which took 3 additional days to finish the leftovers!). My favorite dish hands down is the bing. Apparently, it's a Chinese bread that I have never heard of. The butter and honey were amazing and complemented each other so well. The shisito peppers were unique and Had a nice crispy shell. I really enjoyed the buttermilk ranch and I wished I had more peppers to dip the ranch in haha. The bo ssam is basically pulled pork and I felt that it was kinda too salty for me. However, I did enjoy the leftovers with white rice to balance it for me. It comes with a variety of condiments ranging from green onion scallion oil to kimchi. Overall, I would describe this place as a Chinese Korean fusion spot. I definitely want to come back with a bigger group to try the whole short rib!

Delicious. Everything was amazing! Pre ordered the short ribs the day before and so worth it. Watched someone prep and slice the meat in front of us while we made the wrap with the greens and topped it off with other toppings like kimchi and radish. Then servers took the rest/ fatty parts of thr ribs and made a fried rice. So good!! Couldn't even finish it with the 5 of us so we had to take it to go. Really good for bigger parties. Staff was also super nice and friendly. Can't wait to come back!

The whole plate short rib at David Chang's Majordomo in Los Angeles: so good. It was so aesthetically pleasing and just as tasty. Tip: you need to order this 24 hours in advance and I didn't see it on the online menu. I've had food that photographed well but the taste was pretty meh, but that was not the case with this short rib. The taste was fantastic and very memorable. One of the better meals I have had in Los Angeles over the last year. The indoor/outdoor space is also quite nice even if the industrial neighborhood isn't.

Went to Majordomo's for my friend's birthday and o my gosh did this place live up to the hype. When we were waiting outside for everyone to show up, we could smell the beef. It was such a good scent. Then when we walked in, we saw everyone eating the Beef Short Rib that you have to order 24 hours in advance. I kid you not, every single table had one, it is the thing to get. We started off with some appetizers. We got half a dozen oysters. They were a little small, but they were good. We also ordered a couple of the Bing's which are these flatbreads that come with a side that pairs with it. We got the Chickpea Hozon and my personal favorite, the butter & Honey Bing. We also ordered the crispy potatoes and the fried stuffed peppers. Both absolutely delicious, but the crispy potatoes were incredible. Nice and crunchy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The ribs showed up with style, on a carving board with someone butchering it into a small pot for us to share. It comes with lettuce to make saams, a soy sauce based sauce, gochujang kimchi and sesame oil with salt and pepper. Very typical of what you'd see at a Korean restaurant. And it is much needed because of how flavorful and fatty the beef rib is. The really fatty part of the ribs they take to the back to make a beef rib fried rice. I suggest using some of the kimchi they give to help cut through some of the fattiness. It was an incredible experience that me and my friends won't forget. Really looking forward to going back!

I guess I was the last person to hear about David Chang; some friends were visiting and wanted to come here after trying Chang’s DC location a couple years ago. I consider myself somewhat of a foodie and I’m somewhat embarrassed I didn’t know about this place because it turned out to be delicious. The flavors of every dish really pop, especially the bing appetizers. Everything was amazing but the simple cultured butter and honey was what I kept going back to. The short rib, which we made sure to preorder, was quite the presentation being carved table-side. It’s not cheap but honestly you get plenty of innovative flavor in every bite and it’s absolutely worth it. We will definitely be back.
