This place is THE BEST. Not only do they let you pet and hang out with all the animals, but if you want, you can even take them home. For FREE! It's basically heaven with animals. And really nice and helpful (in a non-creepy way) people who introduce you to them. I still remember the first time I went as a kid so many years ago... I've never been the same since.

I have had a very positive experience adopting cats from the Lange Foundation. They were very accommodating and knowledge when I came to meet the cats in their care. They answered all my questions and gave great feedback about what would be good for the cats and in the cats' best interest. They knew all of their cats very well and their facilities are clean and compassionate. They made adoption easy and have been supportive and responsive with my concerns since. I highly recommend them. It's very clear that they care about animals and want them to find great homes.

We adopted our cat from the Lange Foundation shelter and it’s been such a great experience. The staff was very helpful in providing information and advice, and they did a great job at preparing our cat for adoption!

I adopted two kittens from the Lange Foundation in September 2023 after visiting numerous shelters around West LA. I appreciated how well-cared for the animals were, how much time I was able to spend with all the cats and how easy everyone made the process. When I returned the next day to pick up the cats, everyone at Lange made sure I had everything I needed -- medical info, toys, treats and food. The kittens adjusted to their new home so fast and I know that's because of the love and care they received at Lange.

I’ve worked with Lange for over 15 years!! AMAZING Rescue — and I don’t say it lightly!!
They truly are one of the BEST Rescue Organization I work with — I’ve been an animal behaviorist for over 35 years.
They know all their animals really well, amazing care and they stand behind their adoptions.
And the staff? Beyond adorable and super sweet!!
I highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt any dog or cat!! ?

This is truly an unforgettable experience. The staff here is knowledgeable, kind, caring, courteous, and dedicated. The staff and volunteers care for the animals they are responsible for with such respect and concern. The atmosphere is lighthearted and fun. This adoption center really cares about the cats they house. The application, which is a prerequisite to scheduling a visit, assesses your qualifications for cat ownership. It’s comforting to know that these animals are only getting adopted out to good homes. Their description of personalities for each cat is spot on too! The facility is wonderful. I think this is a great place for cats to live while they wait to get adopted. Please take the time and apply, it’s worth it. All the cats are very friendly and well behaved. This is also one of the most affordable places to adopt. Keep up the great work!

I highly recommend the Lange Foundation if you are looking to adopt a new fur baby. My wife and I found our little chihuahua Olive there and adopted her, she ended up breaking her leg soon after just playing with some larger dogs, a freak accident that required major surgery and they ended up helping us with most of the cost so she was able to get a wire put in and it healed and she lived a very long life with us, running on that leg as if nothing happened. We were always so grateful for the Lange Foundation. She was like our little baby and we miss her so much. Everyone there is so kind and helpful and whenever I am talking to anyone looking to adopt I always mention how wonderful our experience was.

This is a wonderful place to adopt a pet with very caring staff. The atmosphere is super friendly and they make every effort to correctly match you with the right pet. If things don't work out, which sadly they sometimes don't, they happily take the animal back. Don't hesitate to get your next furbaby here or donate your time or money. They're always in need.

Such a great pet rescue!! The place is clearly well-run and it feels clean, bright, and inviting. All the cats we visited with were incredibly sweet and it was SO hard to make a decision. But we did and he has not stopped purring since we got home! So happy we decided to choose this foundation to find our second kitty through ?
