I want to warn anyone who has an iPhone to just buy directly from Apple and to stay away from giving your business to Cricket. I came to this Cricket location on Sunday, October 30 to purchase an iPhone since mine had been stolen at a music festival. I had come back from a 2-day music festival and since I didn't have any Apple stores near me and given the fact that it was a Sunday evening and I needed a phone for the week, I decided to buy one from Cricket so I'd have one for the rest of the work week. When I first stepped into this Cricket, I had no idea how much iPhones $ were at the Apple store. I was ready to buy an iPhone 14 plus for $1200 at this location. Again, since I didn't have a phone to compare, I was unaware that the same iPhone was $899 at the Apple store. When I asked about their prices, Patricia (the salesperson "helping me") told me that iPhones at that location are sold as a bundle. So I would get a speaker and a charging cable/adapter for the same price as if I bought the iPhone alone. I was told that if I buy the iPhone alone, it would be ~$1200, but if I got the bundle, I would essentially be getting those accessories (speaker & adapter) for the same price, $1200. When I asked if it was for free, she said it was part of the bundle. So I walked away from that store NOT knowing that those accessories were *not* free. But I wouldn't learn about that until days later. I was part of a bunch of people whose phones got stolen at a San Bernardino music festival over Halloween weekend. Against all odds, the police were able to recover around 100 stolen phones, and mine was among those. So, I headed to the Cricket store later that Thursday (Nov. 3) when I was able to recover my iPhone from Downey Police Dept. However, when I first started hearing about the possibility of getting my old phone back from the police, I showed up at this Cricket location to inquire how the returns worked. And I was told by the manager, Sulaiman, that the salesperson who sold me the phone had to be working that day so the return could be made. AT NO POINT DURING MY PURCHASE ON SUNDAY WAS I NOTIFIED ABOUT THIS. SUCH! NEGLIGENCE! THE ONLY THING I WAS TOLD THE DAY I PURCHASED MY PHONE WAS THAT I HAD ONE WEEK TO RETURN IT, BUT NO MENTION OF HOW *I* HAD TO MAKE SURE THAT SAME PERSON HAD TO BE WORKING IF I WANTED TO RETURN THE iPHONE. Back to that Thursday, Nov. 3, when I was ready to return the iPhone I purchased at this location, I called ahead to make sure that PATRICIA was working that day (salesperson). When I was making the return for the bundle I was sold (again, I was told the accessories were basically free with the purchase), I come to find out that I can *only* return the iPhone, and that the accessories (speaker and adapter) I had purchased are non-refundable. My jaw dropped because I was never notified about this fine print *before) the purchase. Patricia pointed out that it was in the receipt, which I read, and it was indeed specified there in the fine print. However, what made me so upset is that they never gave me a PRIOR WRITTEN NOTICE about this. Any common-sense business will notify its clientele about the fine print *before* a purchase. That's how you protect yourself against lawsuits. It's common practice. But not this Cricket. I was so upset that they had to get the manager, Cecy, on the phone, who basically told me the same thing. To which I responded with the same counterargument: why wasn't I notified *before* making the purchase that I wouldn't be able to return their stupid bundle accessories? NO ONE TOLD ME. The only place for me to find out was in the receipt, which I only get AFTER the purchase. How can it be that a business is run like this while keeping its customers in the dark? I lost $ that I couldn't get back since accessories are nonrefundable (around $200). What made me lose my wits was when Cecy told me that they (the store) were also losing out. According to Cecy, Cricket was also losing out because now they *wouldn't* be able to sell
