“This legendary market is amazing. The history alone is the reason we stopped by the first time. We have been several times. Each time, we stare in awe knowing the greatness that once passed through the doors. I originally found this market in search of Jim Morrison's footsteps. Stepping into the market is like traveling back in time. We have also walked around the corner of the market to see "Love Street". The last time we were in the area, we desperately needed a pen to sign a card. This market was not the most convenient location but we stopped by here because it is so cool. We did buy some additional items like bottled drinks, chips and cookies. We love looking at the black and white photos. I just feel like it is a really special place and it was something really magical. I think there is something for everyone here. Snacks, goodies, history and a good little deli for getting food to go. They have cute little tables outside to eat your sandwiches as well. We don't live in the area but we stop by as often as we can. Each time we are delighted to see this fascinating little market where we have always been treated kindly by the sweet staff.”

“A favorite of mine. Beautiful, thoughtfully crafted and big wide open space with indoor and outdoor dining.Great staff. I love the groceries they carry along with the natural wine corner. There's an awesome book aisle as well.But the food...consistent and delicious.Pizza, burgers, short rib plates, wings, salad, breakfast burritos...SO TASTY!They have coffee, ice cream, beer, wine, etc.”

“This is a wonderful little store with many selection of Brazilian goods. Being a Brazilian, eating Tapioca is part of my diet. When I discovered that this store has a good selection of snacks and sweets. I was ecstatic. The owner was patient and shared with us that the store has traditional homemade Brazilian snacks every Saturday. The service was great! Most importantly, the store is clean and welcoming.”

“Nice and helpful cashiers, but location is very warm due to fridges motors on all day, so red wine is constantly sitting at 85°F.... Not a good idea. Good selection of hard liquor but super over-priced... It's a good location for us desperate hotel guests, though.”

“Amazing little hub marketplace! Blackowned mini mart neat, clean and vibrant. There is a variety of fresh and gorgeous fruits and vegetables and a unique array of dry goods, beverages , and specialty items. I happened to visit while they were doing a trial weekly Farmers Market in a unique way. They producers they were working with brought in beautiful produce and meat as a gift to the community. I came for the two weeks each Thursday and the food I was gifted was amazing! They carry my favorite kombucha and specialty items like Mike's Hot Honey. I really appreciate their focus on fresh, clean, and wholesome products. This is a unique community market in that it is not loaded with junk food like the majority of corner stores. I will continue to shop here and support their efforts. I hope the Farmers Market works out because it was the best produce and meat I've ever seen at one.”

“Can't believe I haven't found this store sooner! Owner was super friendly and welcoming (something that's actually rarer than most people care for these days). Wanted to look for some quality bottles to share with family and friends for Thanksgiving this year. This store has bottles other stores don't carry. Quality top shelf bottles!!! I can't think of any other store that carries this many unique whiskies! Check out the score! Will definitely be back to pick up more soon! Ask for Sam - that dude is one of the friendliest owner's I've met. Kudos to you for running a quality shop!”

“No matter if you are chilean or not. This is worth giving a try for the most traditional chilean food.Try the sopaipillas, empanadas (very good) and pastel de choclo. Really took me all the way back home. And don't forget to say "Hola" to the tables around you!! Everybody will enjoy talking to you in "chileno" and drag you to visit the country.”

“From what I hear throughout the community and especially from my wonderful girlfriend also known as my soon to be amazing wife, this is her favorite store/establishment in the entire area if Los Angeles Proper/Watts neighborhoods. She told me that it's open until 2 am every night, although Google Maps has it listed until 145 am. Which, either way, that's a perfect time for an establishment type such as this one to be open. They are what I would call clutch, they are friendly, they are convienent, and they offer great , friendly service, dispite whether or not they believe you are originally from this community or not. I've noticed with a lot of establishments in this particular area , if you don't fit the neighborhoods specific usual demographic you will NOT get good service or be treated friendly. But that isn't the case here. I plan to move to this neighborhood within the next 30 to 60 days and I already know of a couple of establishments I will certainly be visiting on a daily to multiple times a day basis and Dicks Liquor is most definetly number one on that list above all. First of all not only because I plan to start doing all the shopping for my lovely girlfriend but because they have most of my needs and wants here at this establishment and well such as sodas soft drinks, liquor, beers, wine, snacks of all kinds and varietys, milk, cerial, etc.”

“Remarkable customer service. I was on a rush, on 10/11 I got service on this station but unfortunately I couldn't get the cashiers name. But she was extremely nice and professional , I was impressed. She did a excellent job, offering discounts, offers, bonuses. Idk her name, but I share my receipt so the owner can give her a promotion, or at least , congrat her for her absolutely wonderful job. Very pleased and making this station my favorite on the area.”

“Busy intersection overall was happy to see the Chevron sign/colors. I only use Chevron. I've never seen the gas pump illuminated on any vehicle I've owned until 6 days ago. I prayed to make it to a Chevron station, God made a way. Thankful for Z & P Oil Chevron #309226 at La Cienega and Jefferson in Los Angeles CA...Ahmed was the helpful cashier. “This is my preferred gas station. And I don't just mean by brand I mean this exact location. When I can I will stop at this one. It's always just a couple cents cheaper than all the other local options and it's not so far out of my commute to be inconvenient. Very accessible from every direction, though sometimes going South on Eagle Rock can be a bit of a tricky dippy. Parts of their asphalt need some repair - on the York side especially. Inside is .. well a gas station, not the cleanest, sometimes people may ask you for change (what gas station doesn't have that) but I've gone here day or night for years and it's never been too bad, though it is popular and can get backed up at rush hour. I don't think that's a mark against it though, just means other people prefer it like I do.”
