The medical treatments & customer friendly services provided by Dr. Cristina Brown & her staff during my urgent care visits due to a left leg wound issue, were 'Outstanding'. I highly recommend & rate the Carbon Health Urgent Care of Los Angeles, a 5 star award.

The doctor and nurse were A1! The receptionist was rude and charged my card twice.

Kind front desk. Emily, the PA who helped me was very knowledgeable, attentive, patient, and gave me lots of information about my health concerns. The whole process booking my appointment and waiting to be seen was very fast and simple. There’s also free parking which is super convenient.

DO NOT COME HERE. The absolute WORST medical experience of my life. If I can file a Complaint with the Medical Board, I’ll be doing so.
I came here Sunday, 10/20. They had to run tests, and we had to wait on the test results so I could get my medicine. The week goes by and no one has contacted me so I call the office on Friday morning. I express that it shouldn’t be taking this long for labs and I'm in pain and really need the medicine. She says she’ll pass on the message. Friday evening I call again and say that I need a call back by the end of the day so i can get this resolved by today. Again she just says she’ll pass on the message. No one ever calls. Saturday morning again I call. I explain that I’ve been waiting for a week for results that are supposed to take 2 days and that I really need medicine and for someone to please please call me today. No one does. I call again Saturday around closing until finally I have to get in the car and speed over there.
I am really upset at this point and the receptionist, who is the same one that i was talking to both days, instead of listening to me begins talking over me which turns into a yelling match. Im sitting in a chair by the door. She’s originally standing by her desk but by the end of it shes standing right in front of me. The whole act of approaching me during that argument felt like she was trying to intimidate me and was super inappropriate from a medical facility staff.
Then i meet with a male provider. I find out that my results have been in since TUESDAY. One of their staff had made 2 separate charts for me and the doctor had sent the results to the 2nd chart which is why i didnt receive anything on my carbonhealth app. I get that this is human error but why didn't the receptionist catch that??? All the times i called she never saw that???
Anyways the male provider was very nice and prescribed me medicine. The medicine that was prescribed however is not covered by my insurance. Out of pocket was over $1000. The pharmacy faxed them last night requesting the change and still nothing. So now trying to get them to change the rx is another nightmare. Ive called multiple times. The calls keep going to voicemail. They kept going to voicemail when i was calling for my results as well. Why do calls to a medical facility repeatedly keep going to voicemail during normal business hours??? There’s a front desk here!! If you’re busy, pick up and put me on a hold. Biggest mistake coming here.

I would like to start this by saying I chose to come to this urgent care because not only is it close to me, but I’ve had a good experience in the past. I’m a normally healthy 37 yo and an RN working in the hospital for many years, so I’m familiar with medical care.
On Saturday 10/12 I came to be seen because I had been experiencing chest tightness and wheezing at home for several days(I have had asthma my entire life) I had been using my inhaler at home and felt that it was not improving, and I was concerned that it was going to progress. The PA I saw Emily Christel was not interested in understanding that I knew my body/asthma well, and instead dismissed my concerns, gave me advair and told me no one was there to do an x-ray come back in a few days if it’s worse. After continuing to feel sick but trying to manage with inhalers, I woke up Tuesday 10/15 feeling worse breathing wise. I contacted the office and explained my experience Saturday and asked if I could be seen asap because it’s close by and I feel like had I been treated appropriately Saturday, I wouldn’t be in this situation. When I got there I felt lightheaded, had labored breathing and tachycardia just from walking in the parking lot to inside. I expressed to Diana that I was light headed and having a hard time breathing she then offered me a mask, because I had an asthma cough and I said the mask would make it worse. She then was extremely rude and disrespectful, and made multiple rude comments while other patients were sitting there. I was frustrated about the entire situation, feeling unwell and she left me sitting there for 40+ mins having no urgency or empathy with my medical emergency, instead trying to assert her dominance, because she was annoyed by me. Diana was then being relieved for lunch and told another staff member loudly that she had to talk to her in back about me, because I was right there. The staff member that relieved her for her lunch break said she had never added me to the board, no one in back could see I was there, and called the supervisor out. The supervisor then said she was only under the assumption I wanted a chest x ray, when I had told Diana over the phone and in person I was there because of my wheezing/difficulty breathing. I was then taken straight back given breathing treatments, steroids and an x ray, to then be diagnosed with an asthma attack and pneumonia. It’s heartbreaking and disappointing to be treated so terribly in an extremely vulnerable time when I’m asking for help not once, but multiple times. I first hand understand the stress of working in high acuity, busy, stressful environments and still find it in my heart to empathize with people and want to help them. Thank you to PA Christina Brown who did provide treatment to help me feel better, the x ray tech/RT he was kind/helpful and the manager after I had to break down to tears out of frustration of being dismissed, disrespected and desperate for help. As for the others, I hope that in a time of vulnerability/sickness people have a kind heart with you and take your concerns seriously, the opposite of what you gave to me.

This location definitely met my expectations! I didn’t wait too long after checking in/my appointment time before seeing someone. Every part of the staff I interacted with was 1) informative, 2)helpful, 3)patient, and 3)kind
My hope is that more healthcare facilities have this amount of care with their patients.

Arrived before 9 AM opening and staff was nice enough to allow us to sit five minutes earlier check in was easy, however, might be easier if the iPad could detach to improve comfort with answering questions and also have highlighted section to be completed. Provider was thorough with her assessment And medical assistant was also efficient. Facility was really clean, However, lobby chair should be a different fabric for ease with cleaning. Prescriptions were sent over without a problem. We were the first ones there in the morning. We were in and out in about 20 minutes.Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
