“Honest and honorable business. We have been going to Sarkis for years. During the pandemic, we were awakened one day to find out that the catalytic converter on one of our cars disappeared. In the midst of auto part shortages, we came running to Sarkis. Shortly after we were sent home with a newly installed converter. Two years later, as required by California's Department of Motor Vehicles, the car was due for a smog test, the car failed miserably. The converter was unacceptable by the regulators. During the pandemic, there was a shortage of catalytic converters. The regulators had list of alternative converters to install. Ours was one of these "acceptable" alternative converters that was installed. Which was now deemed unacceptable. We took the car back to Sarkis. We did not need to hassle, beg or do much explaining. Sarkis and his crew replaced the converter at no cost to us. We walked out while he was left to deal with the regulators for putting out misguided information during the pandemic. Wow, what an honorable man. The place is very busy. Call before driving your car there. Also parking in the area is a huge problem.”

“Brought my car in for a flat tire. They told me that they were going to replace it, and charged me for a new tire, which I agreed to. A little later, they called me and let me know that I had a screw that had punctured my tire and that they could patch it without charge (I had bought the tires from them originally). This was a valuable act of honesty, as I had already consented to buying a new tire and they could have mounted it without notifying me about the puncture at all and made a profit. In my experience, honesty is hard to find in the automotive repair business, and this was an act that I will remember. Additionally, they are prompt with repairs, reasonably priced, and professional in all of my interactions with them. I am a very satisfied customer of Coastline auto, and recommend them without hesitation.”
