01/20/24 My friend and I wanted to walk after a meal, so we walked 4th street. She is much older than me and has lived in this part of Long Beach for many years. I've walked by this store many times, my son used to live across the street for years, so why have I never stepped foot in here? I guess it's because of my upbringing. Palm readings and devil stuff are a no-no and it always used to scare me. I totally perceived this store wrong. They have themes in sections which I am obsessed with. Their organization is 10/10. All the sections have a little of everything. Stickers, pens, socks, bags, journals, ceramic figurines or vases. One theme is plants and on the front of a journal read 'Diary of a plant killer'. I found that hilarious because I am that person. There's a section of women empowerment items with a 5 pen set where some read 'mom, mama, mommy, mooooom' and 'welcome to the shit show'. I bypassed the Prince (purple rain) and other celebrity prayer candles and all things devil. Just not my jam. I did however love everything else. Overall 10/10. Great place for funny and clever themed gift items. I now know where to go for them.

absolutely love going to 4th street in long beach especially to find myself wandering in this store! songbird features art and merch from so many small local artists & businesses. the cashiers are always polite and friendly when it comes to finding something in particular. the selection of items they have ranges from all types of aesthetics. it's a great store if you're looking to find something as a gift or just to treat yourself. the prices on items can differ and be a little on the pricey side but only because those pieces are original and made for special occasions.

Songbird was such a cute gift shop. They had a great variety and had items organized by different categories and vibes. I liked that they had a little something for everyone and that the store was well organized with plenty of room to browse without feeling claustrophobic. The staff members were friendly and greeted us initially, but let us explore the store at our own pace. I loved the foodie items and their Tiki themed items. I also loved that they had clothing, bags, jewelry, home goods and so many other fun types of items that allow you to find a type of item as well as a theme of the item. There were also some humorous items mixed in with everything. It was like going on a treasure hunt!

One of my ALL TIME favorite shops to buy one of a kind gifts for myself & others!!!The entire display in the window is always well thought out & put together & I love how inside the store changes themes as you go.. You can tell that whoever owns this store is so on point with what's radical⚡ & hard to find & you can tell they put a lot of thought into which local artists they have in the shop.. ?I wanna add that the girl working, named Jade, was a total doll on my last visit! Not only was her 'fit & nailz super coot /& matching to the store, (She had on vintage red velvet & handmade Ramen noodle earrings? ) She also was the sweetest thing & super knowledgable & helpful the whole time! Nowadays, it's so rare to find workers with good vibez, so she is a definite gem? & asset to the shop!?As for me, I will continue to come here every few months & support small biz bc if I frequent it too much, I'll spend all my $$$!!!? Lol

I could lose my money quickly in this store. With unique and interesting knickknacks, stickers, and other collectibles running from occult to music, from tiki to cottage-core, it was easy to find something for everyone in your life.
