I can't say enough about this store. They have made my transaction with them so easy and stress free. The customer service is beyond quick, friendly, honest, and so easy to work with. I purchased my Urban Arrow Family cargo line from Propel in fall of 2022, and took it there for both the initial 30 day follow-up tune-up, as well as the 1,000 mile service. Kyle was very helpful in explaining the work performed, and had the work completed the same day on both occasions. He was very helpful in explaining any issues, and I found his work to be high quality. I plan to continue servicing my bike with Propel, and will also come back to them for any electric cargo bike needs in the future.

I am THRILLED to give FIVE Stars to Propel, and specifically to Kyle for the attention and effort spent on diagnosing and fixing a vexing and recurring problem on my 2018 Verza 10 e-bike. The fault was intermittent, and required specific test ride conditions to reproduce. Kyle stuck with it until he experienced the fault, then had the right equipment, tools, and skill to return the bike to “like new” serviceable condition.For context, I have worked on my own bikes, scooters, motorcycles, cars, and airplane—and jet engines in my USAF days—so I’m a knowledgeable mechanic. But e-bikes are not my forte, and I knew I needed expert help. Propel absolutely gets a double-platinum rating from me! Hook up with this crew. You will not be disappointed!

Great experience with Propel. After calling a couple of e-bike sellers in west LA who weren’t willing to offer test rides and were generally unhelpful, had a great conversation with Nancy who was very knowledgeable about the range of Tern bikes I was looking at made it easy to decide. In the end I didn’t arrange a test ride as I felt so confident based on the conversation and information given via phone / email. Ordering process was very simple and they kept me updated as the e-bike was received, built, tested and delivered, including opportunity to do an in-person test ride to be sure all was good with our new bike. We unfortunately had an issue with one of the wheels after a while and Propel’s after care service was awesome — Kyle came back to first repair and then replace the wheel under warranty. Very accommodating with schedule and turned up promptly to resolve the issue. I was a bit concerned buying from a store an hour or so away but Propel have over delivered, very smooth communication throughout and expert bike tech support right at my front door. Service this good really stands out and I would not hesitate to recommend Propel when buying a quality e-bike. Thanks for an awesome experience!

I bought my R&M Load 75 at Propel in 2021 and use it most days, and couldn't be happier with either the bike or Propel. Kyle has serviced my bike a few times now and each time it's been as quick as it could reasonably be given the work being done, on budget, and returned perfect. I absolutely cannot recommend them highly enough - both Propel and Kyle in particular - and will definitely continue going for both service and future bike purchases.

Kyle at Propel Long Beach did a great job on my e-bike project when nobody else would even attempt it! My do-everything Tern HSD S11 needed some drivetrain work and I wanted to convert it to a belt-driven, internal gear hub. No bike shops near me in San Diego (including the store I bought it from) were willing to try. I got a referral to Propel from another shop. Kyle worked with me for several months to round up the (hard to get these days) parts. I took a day off from work to ride the bike and train up to Long Beach to get the work done.Kyle was great about communicating throughout and paying attention to the details. I'm extremely happy with the high quality work Kyle did and he had me back on the road in time to get the commuter train home. While I haven't gotten to experience buying a bike from Propel (yet), I was impressed by the care put into the rather involved project I came to them with. I look forward to doing business with Kyle and Propel in the future.

Shout out to Pierre "Bonjour" and Nora at Propel Bikes for the most coherent, and supportive service experience I have recently witnessed. When the OEM manufacturer was inflexible and steadfastly uncooperative, Propel bikes customer support lived up to its name. Pierre took the time to consider the experience and made me feel heard. Then I was accorded a wholesome, respectful response. RESPECT ! I had not bought my bike from Propel, but they have earned my next ebike purchase.

I live several hours away from the Long Beach shop, but their website made it easy for me to contact them, have my questions answered, and then special order two custom Abus Locks. Great customer service!

I had been shopping around for a while. These folks answered all my questions, were patient and have a good knowledge of what's available and what isn't. Adrian let me try out his personal bike to get a sense of the BULLS Evo line. I'm 6'4" so it was tricky to find a frame that would be a good size. They make sure the bike got all set up for a tall dude without a bunch of extra costs. Super grateful for the team over there! Thank you all!

Bought a bike here last year and it arrived with the paint damaged. I've asked Propel a few times if they could help get the paint color so I could get touch up paint, but they've basically just made up really poor excuses each time. You're telling me you can't find a paint code for a Riese Muller bike from last year? You're just not trying very hard then.I regret spending $6000+ on a bike here and over $700+ on shipping only for the customer service to be so totally usually (shout out to Adrian for his low effort replies). Next time I will buy from a local bike shop who will provide real customer support.

Being new to e bikes, I was lucky to purchase 2 e bikes for my wife and myself last year. Due to the supply chain issues, they took a year to arrive and, when they did, I needed to make changes to the lights and brakes to make them safe for riding on the busy streets and steep terrain where I live. I searched all of the bike shops in the South Bay and not one was able or qualified to mount the lights (Supernova front and rear), brakes (Magura eBrakes) and Bosch Nyon displays. The other shops couldn’t even get the lights, brakes or displays that I needed.It was after I contacted Kyle Smith at Propel when matters changed. Being a novice with these bikes, he patiently answered all of my questions and offered me his advice when needed. Not only was he able to get the parts, Kyle did the installation on both of my bikes. He did an excellent job running the new brake and electrical lines, installing the new brakes and improved rotors, and changing out the front and rear lights. He was careful not to scratch or damage the finish on the bikes and even had to customize some of the mounts for the lights.I was very pleased with the service and advice Kyle gave me during the upgrade—he always kept me informed during the entire process. I usually don’t do reviews but he went above and beyond what any other bike shop offered. I will definitely use Propel for any further repairs/upgrades and they get my highest recommendation.

I wanted to thank Chris and his Long Beach shop staff including Adrian Pineda, as they have provided me with the bike of my dreams. I purchased a Riese & Muller Multicharger several months ago as a car replacement and do everything commuter bike and it has exceeded all of my expectations and I am in love! I have a long commute with hilly county roads and rough commercial streets in San Diego County and the bike handles everything I throw at it and makes the rides so much fun! Chris and his staff should be commended on their excellent service as well as being friendly, helpful, and always accommodating. I would also like to throw a major shout out to Riese & Muller for their outstanding bikes. I look forward to years of riding their products and working with Propel in the future.

I'm coming from another state, try to call this company to repair a flat tire and perform an inspection to both my bikes. Is next to impossible to speak to a human. They must not want anymore clients, by using there automated device, that blocks potential clients from even speaking to an associate.I will make a recommendation go back on the old fashioned way were you get a call and some one answered. Take a massage from the customer or just give a simple response to the customer.Hope for the best to this business
