I see they have a B rating from the LA department of health. I went to buy empanadas, but once I saw their rating I decided to get only the frozen wrappers, and I'd make the empanadas myself. I hope they make the necessary upgrades in order to achieve an A rating in the future.

First time trying, I stopped by really quick and ordered 1 chicken and 1 beef empanada each for 2.89 came out to $6. The chicken empanadas was very yummy tasted like a little chicken pot pie & the beef empanada tasted like a well seasoned meatball the shell is flaky and crunchy. Very yummy and fast service for a quick bit to eat only 8 min wait. The store is small and cute filled with Inca goods and Yerba mate loose leaf teas.

I ordered a 12 pack of empanadas (take out). The customer service was very good, the person actually advised me to purchase the 12 pack because it was the same price as the individual I had ordered. The Empanadas were packaged well and tasted fresh and good. The store had a few other items available for purchase but no seating.

The empanadas were great and ready when I got there. The place was small and parking was limited but overall I will go back.

I ordered the turkey sandwich with extra meat. The sandwich was too plain and tasteless. Bread was good but that was it. Will not return

We have ordered from here several times before. My wife, who is an LA native remembers eating at the Gardena location on Marine Ave. as a kid. We usually order the famous empanada(s) they are easy to recognize from the *stamped initials idicating flavors. The Gardena location has more menu, other items, and all locations are stores selling authentic Latin ingredients/staples. The staff are always friendly and willing to answer any questions that you may have. I really like these original and authentic empanada. The only thing that has changed, because of inflation, is the prices and the limited amount of filling in each empanada. Now you are paying more for less. I feel they should make them smaller so there isn't a mismatch from the dough to filling ratio. This time, we ordered spicy beef and chicken, beef ham and cheese, and the pomodor. They have a couple of veggie options as well, mushrooms, or spinach. We have had these, too, in the past. I definitely think now that there are probably better places or empanada stores out there. I will have to search and try them.

Empanada Time! Been coming here for years. It's been quite some time but I'm not disappointed. Parking is limited to street parking so I had to park a block away but it was worth it. Empanadas are the best. My go to is Spinach but I hear the Spicy Beef and Spicy Chicken are good. I go some Pomo this time too. The market also stocks many groceries from Latin America, South America and Spain, for those cooking authentic dishes. I'm going to enjoy my empanadas now. Ok, bye.

Small little market with products from central and sourth Amarica you normally don't see in the market. They have delicious empanadas fully cooked or uncooked for you to bake at home.

It was okay. This was my first time here and I ordered pickup through Yelp. I ordered two beef, two spicy beef, two chicken and two spinach. Unfortunately when i got home, i noticed that I did not receive any chicken and was given extra beef. Not quite sure as to why or why I wasn't given the option for a refund if they ran out of chicken but that was a bit of a bummer. I did also buy their version of dulce de leche cookies (delicious & soft & reminded me of the besitos from Portos) which were refrigerated along with a jar of their chimichurri and their Milanesa sandwich (skip the sandwich. It was dry). The chimichurri was okay. I actually preferred the empanadas without the sauce (which says a-lot because I love adding sauce to my food). My fave empanada out of the bunch was surprisingly the spinach. All the beef empanadas that I was given were over salted which wasn't great. I do also want to mention that the woman at the counter who gave me my order was very lovely. The place itself is pretty small and not a place where you can dine-in. Upon walking in, you'll see a counter (where you pick up/order) and to the right is a fridge and to the left is a small area with snacks. Not sure I would come back but I'm glad i got to finally try this place out and settle my curiosity.
