I recently had an appalling experience at Marshall's that left me frustrated and deeply disappointed. The incident involved an immature employee whose unprofessional behavior tarnished my shopping experience and left me feeling targeted and disrespected. From the moment I stepped into the store, it was evident that this particular employee had singled me out for some unknown reason. Despite my attempts to ignore her behavior and proceed with my shopping, she persisted in making snide remarks and giving me disdainful looks. Her behavior reached its peak when she deliberately mishandled my transaction at the fitting room, causing unnecessary delays and inconvenience. It was clear that she was not only incompetent but also had a blatant disregard for customer service. To provide more context, I was holding three items, two of which were see-through organza, and I had just tried on additional items less than 5 minutes prior. In a snarky tone and manner, she patted the rack bar and insisted that I hang up the items for her to count. What struck me as particularly frustrating, was that she had not made such a request when counting the items I had just tried on moments before. When I placed the two items I was trying on onto the rack and held onto the third, of which I had just tried on, she gave me a dirty look and tapped on the rack bar, reiterating that it was "policy," while she and another employee sitting nearby continued chatting. This inconsistent behavior left the impression that she didn't know how to count. Despite my repeated inquiries, she continuously deferred to her actions as "policy," pushing each of the three items aside one at a time and patting them down. What infuriated me the most was her nonchalant response after I informed her I wasn't going to try the items on. She shrugged, and as I walked away, she and the other employee erupted in laughter. When I confronted her about the issue, she lacked accountability and refused to acknowledge her wrongdoing, suggesting that a manager could handle the situation. Instead of apologizing for her behavior, she continued to display a dismissive attitude, treating my concerns as unworthy of attention to correct her behavior. This experience has left me questioning Marshall's commitment to providing a positive shopping environment for its customers. It's unacceptable for any employee to behave in such a disrespectful and insulting manner, and I urge the management team to take swift action to address this issue rather than attributing it solely to disruptive customers. Additionally, when recounting this incident to my family at home, I was reminded of another unpleasant encounter with an employee at this location, where she invaded my personal space to stock skincare items and behaved rudely as if I were in the way of her doing her job. Rather than ask me to move she became aggressive, pushing bottles over and reaching in front of my face, giving me dirty looks. I had to ask if I were in her way to get her to stop. It was the same employee during both encounters. It's essential to acknowledge that employees can also contribute to creating a disruptive environment, potentially resulting in customer dissatisfaction and financial losses for the company. Not a strategic practice considering the state of the economy. My encounters with this irresponsible and childish employee at Marshall's were disheartening. I will think twice before returning to this establishment, as no customer should have to endure such disrespectful treatment.

Why should I have to pay for items if you're allowing crooks to constantly walk out with baskets full of items without any repercussions? People are videoing these incidents and you still refuse to prosecute! I've been shopping here since you opened and I refuse to pay higher prices because you're afraid to hold these criminals accountable. It's not fair to your paying customers. Over it.

This Marshalls is located in the same plaza as Target and Safeway (right between these two stores actually) with plenty of parking. My favorite things about Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods are that they are 1) dog friendly 2) have a great selection of yummy snacks in their food section and 3) always have some really great deals/ discounts I have visited this Marshalls a few times before when visited Lodi. On my most recent visit (last night), I came in looking for a mesh bag for laundry. I wasn't too sure if Marshalls would carry it but Target didn't have any and figured I would just check out this store. The employee I first saw in the beauty section told me she wasn't sure if they carried it, but if they did, it would most likely be in the home department. Luckily my husband was spotted a mesh bag, but it was a bonus item if you purchase dryer balls. I decided to purchase it (since I had just told my husband earlier in the day that we are almost out of dryer sheets and he thought maybe we could try using dryer balls to see if we like them). But for those of you that may be looking for a mesh bag for laundry, I didn't see any (other than as the bonus item with the dryer balls set). After this, I ended up browsing the clearance section (which is also in the home section, in the very far corner of the store) and found some really great deals. Same with some great items in the clearance section in the beauty department (I was telling my husband its dangerous for me to be in this store because I ended up purchasing several things when I was coming in for just maybe one item, lol). The employee at the register was so friendly and quite cheery. She was definitely all in smiles especially when she saw my dog (that seems to be the effect my little girl dog has on others). This was a great shopping experience (just as the previous ones have been) and will definitely be back here again.

Overall, I think this a great store. The Womens selection has more smaller than large or XL.I didn't appreciate the employee (with long blonde hair) on the floor pulled clothes off the rack while I was looking at them. She has done this before and I chalked it up to her having a bad day.

Busiest shopping inside since COVID. Lots of shoppers and plenty of cashiers to keep check out line moving reasonably well.

I been helped a couple times at the register by Amy and she is extremely rude. If Marshall's cares about customer's experience they should not have her at the register she should be doing something else.
