I try to use local vendors whenever possible. I I wrote a 1-star review of College Muscle Movers because the positive reviews do not accurately reflect how this business is actually run. I feel cheated in my dealings with College Muscle Movers because the owner Robert chooses to corners (ie, no liability coverage) to minimize his cost of doing business.The BUREAU OF HOUSEHOLD GODDS AND SERVICES opened an investigation that College Muscle Movers DOES NOT comply with regulations for a "mover for hire" to haul household goods on in State of California. I filed a complaint whenActing in good faith, I hired Robert and College Muscle Movers for $2088 for a two day move that involved one day to pack the remaining contents and another day to move everything to Modesto and unpack,That was my FIRST mistake. Robert and the crew he brought to finish the packing did correctly NOT label all if the boxes they packed, and we spent several weeks after the move still figuring out what was missing. Furthermore, I discovered household goods like lamps and kitchen appliances were broken during the move. I tried to follow up with Robert after the move about these issues, but several calls to Robert did not get any meaningful response.The BIGGEST mistake was to let Robert disassemble my queen adjustable bed because he could not put it back it correctly after the move.I didn't get any response from Robert almost a month after the move whether College Muscle would fix the broken be.I l found out that College Muscle Movers DOES NOT even possess the necessary US DOT and Carrier ID licenses required by the State of Califora for a "mover for hire" to haul household goods. The US DOT and CalifornizCarrier ID licenses include a requirement that a "mover for hire" carry liability insurance and a bond.So, I finally resorted to spending almost $1000 out of my own pocket to replace the ruined adjustable base so I could at least get a good night's rest after all the trouble that I consider Robert and his crew at College Muscle were responsible for all of the mishaps that occurred.Considering that the cost of the new adjustable base was almost 50% more than what Robert originally estimated to perform the move from from Lodi to Modesto, I could have easily saved money by just going with a professional mover like Wheaton (whom I have used for longer distance moves).

What an unprofessional experience it was dealing with the guy I just delt with at almost 10pm this evening. Heavier set guy driving a black truck, large enclosed black cargo trailer. I dont feel as if it's ok to raise your voice and disrespect someone who runs a business, is asking why you are on the property so late, who you are, and explaining the facility rules for future reference. I could barely finish a sentence as this guy continued to interrupt and get louder. I have heard quite a few complaints about this College Muscle Moving Co but had never experienced it for myself... I cant say that anymore... I do not appreciate this guy yelling at me because they cannot prioritize their time and move their "clients" items into a storage unit within the authorized access hours. I will not recommend them to anyone nor will they be allowed in here again.Also, the footage of the "mover" squealing out of the parking lot at a high rate of speed while the brewery next door has a function going on was dangerous, ridiculous and unnecessary. Two people came over to see what was going on. No referrals here folks!

College Muscle made my long distance move a breeze! Robert and his team were efficient, careful, and professional throughout the entire process. They packed my items meticulously, loaded the trailer efficiently, and handled everything with care. Their attention to detail and excellent customer service truly stood out. Our movers were Wayne, Corey and Paul. They arrived on time, worked quickly, and didn't complain about having to go upstairs. We recommend and would definitely use them again.

Robert and his team helped me out big time. I had a huge pile of dirt and gravel in my driveway from a project that was just completed. They showed up on time, got the job done and went the extra mile to wash my driveway down and charged me what he said he was going to.I highly recommend Robert and The College Muscle team for any move, junk haul or any heavy task you might have.

My grandma was recommended them by the assisted living facility she is moving into. I called and spoke to Larry the Manager on Monday at around 10am and asked about pricing and availability. Also told Larry that right after moving my grandma we would have another 2 jobs for them moving other family members. Larry asked me to send pictures and he would talk to his partner and get back to me. I sent all of the pictures immediately with the addresses of where from and to it would be moving and the date we were looking for but we are flexible on the date. Its now Friday afternoon and I've still heard absolutely nothing. No response to anything. So we've reached out to a different company and have already gotten a response from them in less that an hour, they were friendly and responsive and we have booked 3 separate jobs with them. Not only do I not recommend College Muscle but we are informing the General Manager at the assisted living facility to not recommend them as well since they can't seem to be bothered with even responding to you. Moving is stressful enough especially when in a couple of weeks it will be 3 different moves in a 3 week time frame and it's difficult to plan everything accordingly when you have a company that can't even take the time to get back to you. So I would recommend Affordable Movers, they respond and quickly, James is who we spoke with and he incredibly friendly and helpful.

I’ve used Robert and his crew several times for moving, dump runs, etc. And I am always impressed by how polite and friendly all of the crew are. Moving isn’t easy, but they make it almost stress free and fun! Robert is always quick to respond to my request which is so nice to have someone that’s dependable and seems to always fit me in his schedule. They are very efficient too with having plenty of movers and trucks to get the job done quickly. I am happy to recommend them to anyone. Thank you Robert and crew for all you do.

Highly recommend! This crew came in and moved my whole house. We had mostly everything set up but as furniture was moved there were loose items here and their. This crew, without hesitation asked for a box and essentially packed some things for me to help me out. They struggled with a sentimental palm tree that had rooted through the planter in the ground. When I realized how difficult it would be for them to get it out I told them it's OK and not to worry about it. But they said if I want it they will figure it out and they did! These guys were curious polite and driven. Any issue with furniture they would find me and notify me right away. At one point one of them put a small scratch on a piece of furniture and without hesitation came to notify me. Great crew and great movers!

Robert and his crew are professional, fast, capable, reliable, and gentlemen. Good communication. I have used them for several moves, dump runs, and delivery of a piece furniture. My go to movers. I highly recommend him.

This is my life's story, always moving but this time It was not my decision to leave, I had to.Someone blew up the apartment building, the only time I could enter the apartment was this past weds. The explosion was 8 weeks agoAnd who did I call to help ME move? Well College Muscle Movers ofcourse,ll my second time using them. It was good to.see Robert again, he took control and moved everything from my 2nd story apartment. Communication is always right on, they are hard working, fast movers. Respectable, and kind.Once my apart has been rebuilt and time to move in, you know who I will be callingThanks againYout all yiii¡】

I hired Robert and his crew to move me. I cannot say enough good about them. They were professional, their experience was obvious , they treated my furniture and household items as if they were their own, and they were extremely careful. They put moving pads on the door casing and the wall at the bottom of the stairs. Because of they went the extra mile to prevent damage, I did not have even one ding or mark on my walls. I did not have one broken or damaged item. That is always my biggest concern when moving and because of the care they took, I did not have to worry at all. In addition to moving my furniture and household items, they hauled away everything that I no longer wanted or needed. If you are planning a move in the future I highly, highly recommend this company. You won’t regret hiring them.
