“Okay so... I was unpleasantly surprised that Dollar General is not a $1 only store, but it does have good prices. I went at night and was scared I might be in a bad area, but most of the customers were families with children or teenage girls. All the cashiers at the time were women so I felt safe there. Nice selection of stuff, including some tasty ice cream varieties like twinkies that you wouldn't expect to see at a mini mart. Clean, well stocked.”
“The first time I stopped at this Grocery Outlet usually I go to the one in Merced because I live in Merced I was told the one in Atwater was better. I couldn't say that it's better. It is just as great. I love grocery outlet and it is usually my first stop when I'm getting groceries.”

Due to their smaller sized packages of common items, prices per unit or ounce tend to be more expensive for consumables. Choosing to shop here is always a great choice for certain items such as disposable flatware, stationery, spices and cleaners, but other items like sodas and frozen foods are best bought in bulk elsewhere.”

“I live in Washington and when I’m in town visiting family I make trips to this Dollar General for cleaning supplies. I’ve always been able to find Lysol and disinfecting wipes and stock up before making the drive back home. Can’t go wrong with that.”
“It's an okay place to run in and get some things. Most of the food items are small. The animal food is over priced and for the most part generic. (brands that I have never heard of before) BUT if you want to do some crafts and don't want to spend alot of money then it's a good place for that. I don't go there very often. They do have some things that are cheaper and are the same quality that you would get at other stores. (decorations, greeting cards etc.)”
