I went to this store a couple of years ago and cried after leaving. I confronted the man at the register about the awful conditions, and he made me leave and just kept pointing at the refusing service sign. I tried calling animal control several times, and no one seems to care. It seems the only way of getting progress would be to post online a lot and have people constantly show up to the store every day to confront him. It was nasty inside, unclean reptile cages, chinchilla in a cobweb cage with no flooring, tanks that looked like they were empty but turned out to have an animal in them, animals in high up tanks that were being ignored. Just nasty and cruel. People say it is hard because he works alone, but I don't see any attempt to take care of the animals to begin with. Maybe sell just animal products and not animals if you can't afford to feed or clean.

This is hands-down, the absolute worst pet store I’ve ever been to in my entire life. I don’t understand how they are legally open. It is the most disgusting abusive awful situation I’ve ever seen for animals. I literally have had that nightmares since I’ve been there this guy needs to be shut down. The living situation for these animals are absolutely unbearable. These poor animals looked just like those animals on those horrible commercials that ruin your entire day when you see them about animal abuse. How can we stop this man?

This etablissement sells many birds living in horrendous conditions. Flies all over the cages engulfing the birds cages. Uncleaned cages and minimal room for them to spread their wings. The store has minimal room for anyone due to all the equipment and birds that are in the vicinity. DO NOT BUY FROM BREEDERS please do your research on breeders most only care about profit and not the animals well being.

I didn’t read all the reviews from the place i just went and everyone can have different opinions the guy is alone working in the shop, he is a very nice guy he helps me with the dog food, also very attentive and answering all the questions the place is a pet store so smells as the way is supposed to be as pet place is animals there so I give my 5 stars because, customer service (10) price (10 ) and very helpful advice (10)

This place moved from Broadway in Lemon Grove to the new location by the railroad tracks at 3338 Main Street, Lemon Grove, CA 91945. I thought it was a new business so went to check it out b/c I have a lot of pets. Wow, I was assaulted by the horrible smell that hit me as soon as I entered. It is filthy. The fish tanks were dirty and had lots of algae. I don't understand how this person is still allowed to run a business with animals that are kept in such deplorable conditions. I got out of there as soon as I could b/c of the terrible smell of unkept animals. I would definitely avoid and NOT give this place any business. If you want a good pet store in the area, go to SAN DIEGO PET SUPPLIES & DOG WASH across the street. Jorge is the owner and I have known him for years.

This place needs to be shut down. I left in tears. Birds are in cramped, horrible conditions, fish are in dirty tanks. Flies everywhere. Horrible!

This place needs to be shut down and the animals all need to be rescued! Every single cage was disgusting and jam pack full of animals. The entire place is a fire hazard and all of the animals look sick or depressed! My fiance couldnt stand to be in there. I hate knowing this place exists , there is so much animal cruelty and neglect going on. I truely hope thise animals can be freed from that Hell!

I went in this place the other day, and it was really quite disgusting. It looks more like an animal hoarder house than a pet shop that should be open to the public. Smells like rat feces and dead animals. There's years of clutter shoved into the pathways and aisles of the store. The animal cages were tiny, DISGUSTING, and the animals looked absolutely miserable. The fish tanks were green and clearly aren't being properly maintained. Someone should report these conditions to the town or the Humane Society or something.

This guy can import any bird through the mail, he got me a great deal on a parrot, got it within 48 hours from berzil it was nicely wrapped up in news paper tied with string, bird is doing awesome and super cool, other pet stores told me that they couldn't get what I wanted in the states, this guy had it almost next day delivery

Owner I think has lost his desire to treat the customers with respect and his beautiful birds as well. i went to buy dog food and his shop is dirty. There is another pet store across the street that I will give my business too. Not returning.

Birds are always actually tame and sweet very competitive prices on dog food also. Old school pet shop environment so don't expect a petco look.

My first time coming in looking for bedding for my Guinea pig and what I saw was just horrible. immediately noticed the horrible smell I decided to take a look around and it just got worse as I walked in further towards the back. I noticed how cluttered everything was and how the birds looked very sad there was one in particular that I wish I could help.. just heartbreaking.. I walk over to the other side and I see mice running around and at that point I left. This place should be shut down.
