Avoid this nightmare shop at aaaàall costs!! They had my car for WEEKS and accomplished very little. And after charging me 1k for an oil cooler replacement when it could have cost less had he given me a choice in what parts i wanted my vehicle to have, then they said I needed a new powertrain control module that would be about 1k to replace, and said I had leaks in my gas tank that would cost me over 1k to fix, and wanted to also charge me 600 for some module that makes the chime noise on my power lift gate and while waiting for my parts to arrive, they parked my car out on the street infront of their business all day and night. Needless to say I took my car elsewhere , and, guess what? None of those things needed to be replaced on my vehicle. And when he did replace my oil cooler he disconnected evap hoses that were found crunched up under my intake manifold, and he broke a pigtail off of my knock sensor, and didn't put the under carriage cover back on properly, it was half hanging on when the new mechanic got it. If I could give this place a negitive 10 strs, I would. DO NOT. DO NOT. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT, BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.

BIGGEST SCAM. THE OWNER IS A FRAUD. WILL RUIN YOU CAR PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE. I AM SUING THEM FOR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.... REAR ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.

Ramon is awesome. Whenever I call last minute to see if he can look at something in my car he never hesitates to tell me to bring it in. I am happy with all the work they have done to my car. I know my car is being cared for and I trust them. I recommend them to a lot of people. Ramon does a lot for Lakeside and he is a great asset to our town. Their prices are more than fair. This shop is the worst repair shop that I have ever been too. I found them on Yelp listed under La Mesa Towing. They received many bad reviews that they changed their name and moved to Lakeside. I had my 1995 Corvette towed here. They replaced the battery which it didn't need and they replaced the fuel pump and they charged me $1737. I complained about the high price and he reduced it to $1600. $1600 for a fuel pump and a battery? Are you crazy? That is over double what the Chevrolet dealer would charge. Stay away from this business. They are criminals. Fake business in La Mesa and now operating like criminals in Lakeside. PS. Then after I pay the outrageous price for a battery and fuel pump I could see the car had a misfire and after 20 minutes of driving the car died and I had to have it towed again. But of course I am not going to tow it back to this shop because they clearly overprice everything and they don't know what they are doing. I will report them to the better business bureau as well. I towed it to a shop near my house and they fixed the misfire problem and said I need a new fuel pump. The fuel pump looked like it was 20 years old so again I feel they overcharged me for a fuel pump that they didn't even bother to change. PS. They also pressure washed the motor which I didn't request and everyone and every you tube video will tell you to never pressure wash a corvette motor that has the opti spark because if the opti spark gets wets it will cause it to fail and the engine will misfire. So they need to pay me for a new opti spark as well.

WARNING!!!! Save yourself time, money, stress and headache. The owner is highly unprofessional, rude, dishonest and doesn’t know what he’s doing even though he claims otherwise. Take your business elsewhere. He just slapped the truck together, refuses to fix his mechanical mistakes, refused to compromise, yelled and cursed at me. Now a more honest and experienced mechanic will have to fix it which will cost even more money. I would give Lakeside Auto ZERO stars if I could.

Totally recommend! I came into the shop today for an oil change. I was helped out quickly. Staff stopped what they were doing and finished the job within a few minutes.

My car's A/C did not work and I went to this place to have it checked. After spending some time trying to identify the problem the owner told me his opinion about what the problem maybe without knowing for sure what it is together with a diagnosis fee without even diagnosing the issue for sure and because it was getting late he said I can come back another day again to fix it. So, basically I was not even given an exact quotation about how much it will cost to fix it apart from some vague guess, and I told I will not pay a diagnosis fee for a problem that is not identified for sure with the cost of fixing it and I never experienced something like this before. They did not inform me of any diagnosis fee at the beginning and the owner got quite aggressive telling me I should not come back to this place again if I do not pay for the diagnosis fee and I said of course I won't be back again. For a possible diagnosis fee to be paid the client must be informed at the beginning about it and at the end there must be a clear diagnosis for that fee and not a vague guess of what the problem might be.
