I had a really excellent experience with this shop. I'm a relatively new bowler, and recently needed to switch from a straight bowling technique to a two-handed two finger technique. Standard bowling balls aren't great for this style, so I bit the bullet to go look for the right ball.
They pros at this shop explained what kind of ball I should start with to get acquainted with the style I wanted to learn, and then recommended the next few balls to try out once I became more comfortable.
The staff were so helpful and got me set up with a ball, drilled and sized for my hand, shoes, and a bag within 15 minutes of entering the shop. It was a great experience, and I will certainly return here for my future bowling equipment needs.

I needed to get my bowling ball drilled and found this place on Yelp. It's a little shop located in Forest Lanes and I figured I would grab a drink while I waited for my ball. The two guys (unfortunately I didn't get their names)running the shop were super cool, very helpful, and had me in and out in about 15 minutes. Highly recommend this place for your bowling needs. Only regret, I didn't get my beer!

These guys are great! Gave them a call based on all the good reviews and it was an awesome experience. He sounded busy when I called or at least I perceived based on the pace at which the gentleman spoke but he encouraged me to come on by. Upon meeting Jeff I noticed that he just speaks very enthusiastically to each and every customer and is very knowledgeable and helpful. I had my first bowling ball drilled today and now i won't go anywhere else for all my bowling needs. These guys deserve double the star rating

Been around pro shops for a little over 20 years. None have compared to Bowler's Depot. Jeff's Customer Service and dedication to his customers is second to none. He's caught errors in my equipment that was worked on by other shops. Super friendly and patient. We've bought 4 balls here and referred countless friends and league members.

Service, selection, value and beyond... Jeff and the staff are simply awesome to deal with. I'd drive a 100 miles to have Bowler's Depot to cater to my bowling needs. Thank you guys

On a whim we took a chance and stopped by Lake Forest Lanes to see if The Bowler's Depot was open. My son is a 16 year old beginner but has gone bowling with friends a lot this summer. We met Jeff and let me tell you, it was like seeing an old high school friend! Not only is he very knowledgeable, but he was funny and patient with us. No up-sale and his prices were cheaper than online a-mazon. Jeff is such a breath of fresh air with no pressure and just a really fun demeanor. He helped us pick out our balls, sized our fingers, drilled them and in 30 min we were bowling! I cannot stress enough about his level of personal service and his outstanding attitude. He really loves what he does and it shows, he has made us customers for life and I'm so grateful for meeting such a great person! Thanks Jeff, we'll see you soon!

I have to say, it’s not often you find such exceptional service and support from a small shop like this but Jeff from the Bowlers Depot pro shop inside Forest Lanes provided just that. I came from out of town and wanted to check out this bowling center and was pleased to find such a nice pro shop that had everything you could ask for regardless of skill level, beginner to pro they had anything you might need. I talked to Jeff for a while at the shop explaining how I was hoping to get a new ball that would help me with my play style and to get more flare through heavy oil patterns and after considering the Storm DNA for a while, we grabbed one from the inventory and Jeff drilled the ball for me, let me play a game to try it out, and helped tune it to my liking all before I even paid. The prices were cheaper than expected for drilling, grips etc and overall I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Jeff also took the time to help me understand how these higher end balls react to different treatments like wet sanding to produce higher bite and I walked out of the shop with a new understanding of bowling ball dynamics. Can’t recommend enough and I’ll be back for my next purchase. Btw Forest Lanes is awesome, catered more for league players which I liked and has 40 lanes!

I went here to buy my first bowling ball. Jeff was very knowledgeable about the different types of balls. He was also very friendly. He let me try out a few balls, then he drilled the holes in my ball. Would recommend to anyone.

The guys who work here are so nice, helpful, and honest. My boyfriend and I recently got into bowling so I stopped in to get us a pair of shoes. When I was checking out, I was talking to Jeff (I believe that was his name) about getting a ball. He suggested that I stick with just the shoes for now because those aren't free & get a ball later on if I get more into it. He could've easily convinced me to get a ball and spend $150. I really appreciated his help.

I visit this bowling alley for a Youth state tournament. Jeff in the pro shop was an amazing gentleman. He helped us in a pickle situation we needed to get some special markings on a ball before the tournament and he was totally accommodating. After the event we have some questions about the different types of balls that are on the market and totally explained to us. He time out of his busy day to help me and my son understand the role of a ball and in reference to the oil in the lane.
