Fred (owner) and Julio are awesome - honest, reliable, skilled and professional. I've been taking my cars to Fred for years and he has never steered me wrong. He's a good friend and I trust him explicitly! I highly recommend his shop for all your mechanical issues and regular vehicle maintenance!

i have been going to mechanics for over 50 years, but this place was the VERY BEST place where I have ever been. My car would not start and I called this company. He instructed me to do several things and made an assessment. I could not bring in the car because I had Covid. Fred, the owner, was so accommodating and reassuring. He told me not to worry about the car just concentrate on getting well. I was never his customer, yet he came and repaired my car. He did not wait to get paid; he told me when I feel better to come to his place. I have a very old car and he could have told me multiple things needed to be repaired but HE IS HONEST and replaced only one part. I am grateful to have found an honest, caring and efficient mechanic and I will Always be a customer of Southland Auto Care.

I have been going to this repair shop for many years. You can walk in or make an appointment. They use quality parts, explain all the work performed, will inspect other areas of your car to make sure it is safe, charge a fair price, and do it right the first time every time.

When you first go in you see on his desk Christmas cards, birthday cards, graduation cards, etc. from some of his customers. The owner Fred has a great relationship with his costumers. He is very friendly, but most importantly he is a skilled and trustworthy mechanic. He charges fair prices for expert work.Great work at a fair price. But there is no mechanic I would trust more than Fred.

The guy who owns this is named Fred. The most honest, professional, thorough mechanic I have ever met. Twice, he has came in on his day off to help - with no extra charge. Very friendly, but most importantly, he knows his stuff. He charges fair prices, and uses high-end parts. Even when I moved further away, I still drive past dozens of auto shops in order to get help from someone I can trust. From simple AC recharges, to complex engine leaks, he has saved my car and my wallet on many occasions. I'll never go to a different mechanic again as long as I live in Southern California. I've had mechanics that I trust, but wouldn't send my girlfriend to because sometimes girls get taken advantage of by seedy mechanics. I trust Fred to help her make the best decisions for her car by laying out the options in an honest way, and not trying to force a sale by pretending a situation is worse than it is. A lot of shops will always try to sell preventative care (which is usually important), but there are some situations where its actually more financially sound to get more mileage before you replace a part. For example, when a dealership said a part needed to be replaced ASAP, Fred advised that we had a while to go before it would need to be repaired. This shop should be your main shop if you want to know that an expert is working on your car. I cannot recommend him more highly, and I've been to quite a few other mechanics before I found him. Even if this isn't the closest shop to you, it is worth the drive. He takes care of his costumers too. AC in the shop, magazines to read, comfortable seats. He is just a really good guy and runs a good shop. If you care about your car, this place is for you. Thanks Fred!
