I visited this Burlington store about two weeks ago at 10pm, and my experience was alarming to say the least. I witnessed multiple individuals blatantly robbing the store, with one man boldly walking out with six workout bags filled with merchandise. What shocked me the most was the indifference he displayed, simply lifting the stanchion and strolling past the helpless staff who looked visibly upset, who were also powerless to intervene.This incident highlights a critical issue: the serious lack of adequate security measures at the store. It's unfair to subject working staff to such risks of harm from these thieves. The store should seriously consider closing much earlier to mitigate these dangers. Additionally, implementing security guards or installing panic buttons for immediate police response is imperative to ensure the safety of both customers and employees.Overall, my experience at Burlington was disheartening, and urgent action is needed to address the security concerns plaguing this store, if not all stores in the chain.

Nice experience in this store always greeted with a hello and a smile, and 10 of 10 I find what I need, store is clean and maintain clean ,last time I went the cashier was very nice and helpful.

not sure why they try to come up with their own return policies at this location. I had to escalate my issue in order to return things i had gotten less than a week before. I had my receipt. All items were perfectly packaged, with plastic seal and with tags ( not discounted /on sale ).I understand people do illegal transactions and returns, but some of us really just need to exchange/return items for various reasons and unless it's printed somewhere or on my receipt, or at the shelves, there is no way of keeping up with "new" policies.

Sizes on tags are not the right size. Not enough checkouts open. Very busy too. Then to.see security tell people they can't bring shopping cart to.cars. place is mess.

Last night, after my family & I were finished eating at el torito, we went to go look around & browse to see if they had anything good. Currently, you have to be let in & out of the store by security or loss prevention, I'm assuming due to theft. The store was packed with 1 or 2 cashiers so it was busy, per usual. We weren't buying anything so we went underneath the rope instead of WAITING TO BE LET OUT OF A STORE, which is CRAZY in itself. So the loss prevention staff his name is ADAM, an over weight, balding, Hispanic male, states to me & my family after he sees us go under the rope to let ourselves out, he states "oh y'all don't jump over anymore? I thought y'all jumped over". My boyfriend & I looked puzzled at each other like who is this "yall" you're referring to? I asked Adam over & over again who is "y'all" and of course he didn't answer the question to clarify he just kept saying "yall, I'm talking about y'all". We're an AFRICAN AMERICAN/BLACK FAMILY so of course we took it as him referring to black people, trying to be funny about black people hopping fences & over things. We proceeded to go back in the store to ask for the manager & how to file a formal complaint against him for this blatant racism. We are residents of La Mesa we live 2 minutes away from this Burlington & often patronize this establishment. I don't appreciate this type of treatment because when we came back in the store, Adam kept laughing in our faces like it was funny & he got a good chuckle out of this poor excuse of a joke to people he doesn't even know. I will continue to escalate this situation until something is done!!! This is not okay!!!

I recently been to Burlington coat factory and hadn't been there in years. I decided to look at shoes or jewelry. I was ready to checkout and had been standing in line for 10 to 15 minutes with other people in front of me. Finally the people in front of me was their turn. They had a lot of clothes they were buying so it took time. This poor cashier was the only one with at least 15 people behind me. I finally shouted we need more cashier's and it took at least 10 more minutes other customers started shout too before to more cashiers showed up. The cashier thank me with a huge smile on their face and relief. One of those cashiers said they were doing inventory.

Never coming to this burlington again. YOU HAVE TO WAIT until the scronny young loss prevention guy let's you in. Then he has the nerve to ask what I am looking for? This is not the way to prevent shop lifting. He is just sterotyping and pissing people off

I would not even give this place a star! I was there 7/29/2023, shopping with my kids, we went into the fitting room to try on clothes. As I was pulling up the jeans I felt something stab into my skin on my right upper thigh. I screamed & called over the associate to help me & she had to pull it out of my skin. She was very apologetic & told me in fact this is not the first time this happens & to please go speak the the manager. I go to speak to the manager they had to call her over. She walks up & says "Hi how can I help you" I said I'm the woman who got stabbed by the security pin" she says "oh okay what do you need" ... first of all this is not the correct way to approach someone who got injured I'm your store. So I said " I need to file a incident report & want to escalate this further" she said "ok let's go upstairs to the training room & I will give you the report & some bandaids" We meet her there she leaves us in the office because she needs to find the papers. She took nearly more than 25 minutes, mind you I have my 4 children with me & they are all upset at this point. She comes back in & apologizes saying she couldn't find where they where. So I fill everything out, my son is crying & sad & even tells her " my mommy got stabbed by the needle I'm scared for my mommy" & the manager was just trying to tell him I'm okay. I proceed to take pictures of the report for my record & get up to go out. She then says " oh I know it's not much but I can give you 15% off your purchase today. At this point I'm boiling in anger. Do you think 15% is going to buy my time, my pain & my sons trauma back from this? I proceed to the cashier, to top it off the cashier had a nasty attitude with me. The other associate tells her to give me 15% off & she rolls her eyes & says well I don't know how to over rice that. She then got real nasty with me because I was touching the pin pad as it was frozen & she tells me " stop touching the pin pad it's just frozen" & then when I gave her my number for rewards she was being very disrespectful mocking me because she couldn't hear what I was saying. At 3 am I ended up going to the er because I began to get a rash & swelling, they have me the tetanus shot & antibiotics because the doctor believed it was getting infected with the small bumps coming through. Something this serious should be taken very seriously & right away. This could have happened to my child or any child then what would have they done? This was handled very poorly. Please be aware & check your clothes & children's clothes before trying them on!!!!
