I went to Urgent Care for my BPP Vertigo on Monday Sept. 30. Doctor Killeen was professional and explanatory thoroughly. Nurse Sam Johnson and other nurse were careful and friendly. The front desk was responsible and efficiency. All of staff were warm, kind and welcoming.

Charging patients for urgent care parking is so unethical. I was out of breath, exhausted. The last thing I want to do is deal with an app.

Just got out of the La Jolla urgent care. It’s 5:07 pm and despite having office hours until 8pm, they wouldn’t take me in because I didn’t save a spot. The whole reason for urgent care is to be able to walking in. The attendant was extremely unpleasant and condescending.

Dr. Smith was kind, explanatory and very thorough. The x-ray technician was gentle and kind. The rest of the staff were warm, thorough and welcoming.
I'm grateful. Another trust inspiring experience from U.C.S.D.

The last time I was there, two months ago, I received excellent care.
This time, the line to check in was just about out the front door, down a long entry way.
The location appears to lack enough staff at the front desk to operate efficiently.
On a Sunday, the line was about out the door.
There was no way to call to judge the amount of waiting time, and there is pay parking for the lot in front, AND the urgent care check-in line was so long, that it was just about out the front door.
The operator at the main UCSD health phone number, listed for this location at Google Maps, told me the urgent care does not answer the phone.
I limped up to the front door due to a cut foot, luckily checked first before paying to park, and there was no way I was going to wait to be seen at that point.
They apparently do not take appointments, but the UCSD “express care” locations, like one in Encinitas does take appointments.
Aside from this, two months ago, the one person at the front desk argued with me about needing to call the VA/veteran 866 authorization phone number, which is done to make sure a veteran can access care without being billed, especially for prescriptions.
The experience two months ago, once I saw the actual doctor, was excellent.

The care provided was great, and doctor Campbell was super smart and sympathetic. In almost all ways, this UC San Diego Urgent Care clinic would deserve 5 stars except for one reason.
Beware! This clinic is NOT OPEN until 8:00 PM as advertised. During my visit the staff stopped accepting patients at 7:04 PM. That must have been a great disappointment for several patients whom I know arrived after 7:04 PM. If you go to this clinic, be sure to arrive by 6:30 PM. This otherwise excellent clinic has no shame about turning away sick patients starting around 7:00 PM, despite advertising that they are open until 8:00 PM.

went in for an injury to my arm and service was very prompt and good. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. The entire staff was great.

Front desk (receptionist is unprofessional to say the least. Need better training for sure. My appointment was for 8:30. Left 9:20 without seeing a Dr.
