Extremely rude and unprofessional pharmacist. Out of basic ASHP compliance! In pharmaceutical compounding, "particulate matter" is one of the main concerns. There is step by step procedure that is set by ASHP that minimizes possible complications due to injection of the particulate matters in the patient's body. In simple words, particulate matter is the term that refers to any small particle that may enters the medication solution and consequently gets injected to the patient's body. These can be glass particles, cotton small threads, plastic or rubber small particles, etc. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians get hours of training on how to correctly choose the correct angle for the needle insertion, and other specific technics to prevent complications due to entrance of harmful material in the patient's body.My girlfriend had to minimize the delays in her booster COVID shot. We decided that she goes to the nearest pharmacy that could provide the service for her and this pharmacy was the closest one available. After she came back home, she told me that she is very surprised and concerned about the injection technic. She said that the pharmacist placed a thick band-aid on the site of the injection first and then passed the needle over through the band-aid and injected her the booster. When she complained that why he didn't inform her what he intended to do. The pharmacist replied, "This is the Walmart way!"I was very upset as this unapproved method is totally out of compliance. All the ASHP recommended technics are for prevention of entrance of little particles to the needle. Now what this pharmacist done was to intentionally choose an unsafe approach and maximize the chance of entrance of dangerous little particles to the needle shaft and vaccine's solution.I called the pharmacy and asked to talk to the pharmacist. After a long wait, the pharmacist picked up the phone. I introduced myself and told him about my concerns. Although I was very concerned i kept my tone and conversation professional. He didn't let me finish and cut me off and said, "This is the Walmart way!" I reminded him that Walmart cannot override ASHP or any other authority's safety guidelines. He said that he followed their given policy. This was more confusing because there is no "Policy" about injection. I told him that as a pharmacist he needs to remember what is right and what is wrong and never put his patients in danger. Again, he cut me off (and every time he increases his voice as if he is shouting) and asked, "is the patient in ER, or anything happened to her?" I reminded him that most of the threatening complications that are caused by particulate matter stay hidden and show their damage after a long period of time, when it is too late to fix anything." He just repeated everything he said before and added with impatience that I can call the corporate and complain to them. He added a lot of sarcasm to his conversation and "wished me lock" for that conversation. From this moment he only voiced over mine and cut me frequently by sarcasm. I asked him his name and her responded with sarcasm and laughter "Yes, ha, yes my name.....Yes, I'm Alex!"I told him "It was not my intention to call the corporate but at this time I am going to, because I'm not happy with your answer and your tone." He was still talking over saying "yes, go change the world, yes, yes, go change the word!"This is beyond and realm and definition of unprofessionalism. I couldn't even believe that a pharmacist would ever act, speak and behave like that. Since then, I prepared a paper for all the students at our school and used this as a teaching opportunity about unprofessional behavior in pharmacy. I will continue to share my experience with the public until I hear or read somewhere that Walmart has improved the professionalism of their pharmacy staff. My girlfriend experienced pain and inflammation at the injection site on her arm for 5 we

I LOVE THIS PHARMACY & ITS STAFF! Like many, we have many options for pharmacies and because of that, I would rather drive here from Costa Mesa than going anywhere else! They're a very competent group of technicians that listen to your needs and gives you accurate expectations. Every time I come here, most of the technicians recognise me and we catch up from last time. Theresa especially is the sweetest. Thank you for all that you do and keep it up the hard work!

I got my Covid vaccine here as a walk-in, very quick and easy! Staff were all great. Son, who is a pharmacy technician, is very nice. Got here, signed up, made my next appt, was offered water while I waited, and was done! They are usually open almost all days so makes it very convenient!

Not helpful at all. Don’t comply with California law. Will tell you they can’t do things they most certainly can and have done before in the past. Very short tempered and rush you away from the counter rather than actually help you with anything that might be inconvenient for them. This pharmacy is not abiding by California law or Walmart policy. Whoever is on shift thinks they make the rules for the company. Will be returning my purchased items and telling all my friends and family to avoid this Walmart.

I've been to various locations and experienced incompetence from those services. This by far was the best pharmacy and their employees go above and beyond. They are organized and on top of everything

Like hotel California...you can check in, but you can't check out!!! Extremely poor management at closing. They shut down the self serve and trap everyone down to 2 registers, although there were many employees doing not much!! 45 minute check out time. Totally ridiculous!

Was completely ignored and asked a few times if there was a TV in stock that I was interested in. He did not look interested in helping and had the look of wanting to just leave and clock out.

There's a young lady named denise that works as a cashier. She was very pleasant and kind to everyone. Walmart is changing and its cool to see the paradigm shift.
