Rooms: Cozy, great view, and awesome shower.
Food & drinks: The best breakfast to order and the largest fresh stawberries in my life.

I'm giving ONE STAR to the DoubleTree Irvine Spectrum hotel. Although the accommodations were good and the staff was very kind, I will never return to this hotel due to the horrible policies. It felt like EVERYTHING was an extra charge: parking, breakfast, microwave use, late checkout. And the policy of allowing no outside food in ANY common area is terrible. I understand there's an onsite restaurant they'd like people to use, but there are many tables outside and around the pool where it would be nice to eat an outside meal. The security team was so aggressive about this policy that I was approached immediately when I walked in the front door with a pizza box and told that I'd have to eat it in my room. I didn't even sit down (or plan to!) and I felt very alienated by that. This location is near a huge sports complex where people are eating on the fly before and after games, and the fact that they can't accommodate a team that wants to order a pizza and eat together is horrible. They have no business inviting teams to stay there. And I won't be staying again. My friend rented a 2BR/2BA via AirBnB at the beautiful apartment complex down the street and paid less than I did for a single room. I asked Hilton to take me off the mailing list and cancel my HH membership. I'll take my business to a company that makes me feel valued.

The Hilton corporation lives up to its name. The hotel is a nice facility.

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. They charge you literally for everything. It's $20/day for parking, which is expected in Irvine. They offer full breakfast for $35 for adults and $14 for kids under 12. However, they offer you a $15 coupon so you could pay $15 instead of $14 for kids. They don't have a single microwave in the hotel, not even in the lobby. I was told that you can pay $2 to get a microwave for our room. The pool is small and they don't allow outside food. The staff aren't friendly.

Good hotel, a bit expensive for the experience they offer. Complimentary wine was a nice gesture.
In general, pleasant hotel with very small gym and pool. Rooms are ok
Breakfast is good

A pleasant stay in a nice hotel, but a bit overpriced for its amenities/facilities. Nicole at check-in was very friendly and hospitable; she gave us tasty cookies and very drink vouchers! The beds were comfy. The area is quiet and safe. Breakfast was included and satisfying, though some waiters had bad vibes where they looked you in the eye without smiling; quite the turn off in the early morning. There was plenty of parking; unnecessary to charge residents $30 a night. I used the lobby’s computer and printed few important papers, thank you for that.

There have been FEW hotels I have ENJOYED staying at. This was one I was SAD TO LEAVE! The gym was awesome, the pool clean, the rooms amazing (especially the bathrooms), staff on point, everything you'd expect. The hotel is just a cruise away from the Irvine Spectrum Center, was riding my skateboard to and from all week.
Located right next to every freeway entrance so you can be on the road ASAP!
Rooms: King bed. the couch pulls out to a fold away bed. Soft pillows. Plenty of good soap and shampoo and conditioner.
Nearby activities: Irvine Spectrum Centre
Walkability: Careful next to freeway, otherwise great area to walk/skate around.

Very nice property in a super convenient location. I only stayed one night and didn't have a chance to check out the restaurant / bar or amenities, but my room was nice, quiet, and well equipped. The staff members were friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms: Very spacious and very comfortable.
Nearby activities: Close to Irvine Spectrum

Hotel is located at the edge of Spectrum and 25 min walk from the Spectrum shopping center. The proximity to the office buildings and spectrum center worth the rent money, however, when choosing this hotel be aware of the $30 daily parking fee. Room is renovated adequately. Towels are a little old but clean. Bedding is comfy enough to have a good night sleep. The staff are friendly and did their best to accommodate our needs. Very appreciative! The low rating reflects mainly on the lack of essential facilities. I travel quite often, this hotel is one of the very few that do not provide water, coffee or tea in the lobby. The business center is just a couple of desks right by the elevator. By the way, the computer was not functioning when we I was there. Sitting area in the lobby is cramped with a few pieces of old furniture. Bar area gives you a damp, dark and unpleasant feeling.

Great location if you are in ech center. Bar tenders are a hoot! They have many common sense puzzles that will keep you challenged . Front desk staff was top notch and very helpful! Only thing I could say is the 28 dollars to park in what would be normal no charge parking at other hotels is out of line in my opinion

5/5 Would recommend. Great hotel for the price. Been a Hilton Honors member for a while.. not that that means anything, but it speaks volumes when I say the front desk service is some of the best I’ve seen. Denise at the front desk made me feel very welcomed as a guest and went above and beyond to make sure I was well accommodated.

I cannot speak highly enough about the front desk service at this Doubletree location. Their friendliness and professionalism was exemplary, and they did a fantastic job of making me free right at home and like a special guest. 6 stars for Doubletree!
