Great staff and facility. Unbeatable prices!My only complaint is regarding the RUDE & ENTITLED patrons that occupy machines on their phone the entire time. They have zero consideration for those waiting to use the equipment.A friendly announcement over the PA occasionally may help remedy this.Chairs are for sitting/lounging. Equipment is for exercising!

I've been using Planet Fitness for probably two years now.The positives-The Goldenwest/Garfield location in HB has a lot of machines to choose from. The ladies bathroom is large and has showers and a private changing room for the more modest. They have a lot of cleaning stations that usually have plenty of spray and paper towels for cleaning machines before and after use. 90% of the time I'm there, a staff member is walking around wiping down machines, walls, and glass. That is nice! Another positive is the Black Member perks. They have 2 standing tanning beds, 2 hydro massage beds, 2 regular massage chairs, and 1 red light therapy thing you stand in. I use these machines as much as possible. Massagers work well and the red light machine shakes and seems to calm down all those tired muscles. Oh and also, if you are a Black card holder, you get discounts on drinks and you can just charge them to your account instead of having to take a cc with you.The negatives-There have been times when I get on a machine, and it's broken (a couple of times). The screens are often broken on the treadmills (not an issue for me since I listen to audio books while there, but some may find this irritating). Sometimes the bathrooms are out of tp, bathroom floors a mess with trash, and no handwash. This is infrequent, but enough to mention it because it has been an issue for me.I have not used the showers there so I cannot really comment on those but I will say there are 3 in the ladies room (I think) and someone is always using them so they must work well.Overall, I would recommend this location for its size, variety of machines and equipment, and the massage equipment for Black card members. If you do have the Black card, I also recommend to Costa Mesa location. It is much smaller but well maintained.

I've held a gym membership for most of my adult life, have been a member of 24/chuze/eos/La-fitness/your mom's house/ and Im still not buff. It's for sure because those gyms I mentioned have equipment that just doesn't work. I've now been going here to this gym and I swear on my lord and savior, Forest, Forest Gump that I've gained at least a solid 5 pounds of muscle since going to Planet Fitness. Want to know my secret? It's because of who is known as 'The Man'. You may have heard Brandon Flowers from The Killers sing about him. . I give all the credit to him and with that being said I must say, Thank you very much Mr. Roberto. When I first started here at the gym, Roberto wanted to give me a tour and all I wanted to do was tell him I had covered 19 or something so he would leave me alone because I didn't need no stupid tour, I just wanted to get swole and my triple shot of pre-workout was really getting my teeth grinded down flat into nubs.. but since he was so damn good looking and fit ( I'm straight AF btw) I figured what the heck, I'll just utilize him showing me to to scope all the babes. Anyways, during the tour, this savage taught me so much about the proper ways to utilize the equipment I swear it's the reason why I'm so chizzled and swole now. Have way through the tour, it started to get annoying because all those babes I was scooping kept bumping into me and accidentally dropping stuff in front of us so the could bend down to pick it up or w.e.. push thirsty much girls??. . We'll come to find out.. it was bc they were tryna get at Roberto the whole time. The guy is a savage, a machine, he's smarter and more knowledgeable about health and fitness than any other employee I've ever met at any other gym I've gone to. My ripped bod only has one man to thank, it's not Forest, it's 'The Man' .. Thank you very much a Mr. Roberto. You bes a dumb dumb not to go get learned in by 'The Man'. Stay solid my savages..
