Rick is far and away one of the best people we've been fortunate to come across in Orange county. He also happens to be the best mechanic we've ever dealt with. He's extended our family an unbelievable amount of patience as we navigate a denied damage claim. It has been months since a tow truck operator connected his jumpers backwards and damaged a fuse box. Rick repaired the alternator and has been waiting on us to work things out with the insurance.

Rick is a real expert and troubleshoots with utmost accuracy and able to finish repair as committed. Reasonable fees and does not upsell unnecessary parts or services. Trust worthy and highly recommended. So glad, I found this shop, hard to find someone you can trust specially with car repair if you’re a woman.

Came here to do a pre purchase inspection on a Lexus I was planning to buy. Rick was very thorough and took his time performing the inspection. We spoke on the phone and he kindly reviewed the process and went over some observations that he’s seen on similar models.
Best of all Rick was very humble and honest and you can see that he takes pride in his work and has a level headed, no nonsense approach to his work. He treated me with respect and made the process simple for me. He’s the kind of mechanic you can trust to work on your car.

If you are looking for a place with experts, honesty, responsibility, etc. this is the place. In other places they took money from me and they didn't find the fault. Here they found it quickly and resolved it and the car today is wonderful.. thanks Rick..

I use rick exclusively on my lexus SUV but after covid he changed. He told me I needed a catalytic converter when all I needed was a o2 sensor. His yard was also cluttered with all types of vehicles that looked like they belong in a trash heap. The two stars is because of his previous service but I wouldn't recommend anybody to him now. Covid change a lot of people and Rick is not the person he once was who took pride in his establishment. Probably took a huge financial hit during covid as people weren't driving.

I have to write a review of my interactions with Rick of Sarno Motors in Huntington Beach, CA. The best I have ever dealt with. Very, very nice guy, polite knowledgeable, personable, attentive to detail. Honest and hardworking. He is the owner of Sarno Motors, does all the work himself. The shop is in excellent condition, he and it are always clean and orderly. I would NOT eat off his floor, but then again, I wouldn't anywhere else either. Most importantly, when you tell him what you think is wrong, his usual reply is, "I'll check it out and figure out what is wrong". Which is exactly what he does. Quality repairs, reasonable prices, excellent service. Does NOT get any better. He specializes in Lexus and Toyota vehicles. I recently had my Toyota in to a local dealer to look at a Cruise Control issue and a chirping noise coming out from under the hood. Turned out to be the water pump. There are three pulleys attached to that same belt that's turning the water pump. Experience tells you that if one is dying of old age and high mileage, the others are too. Not the dealer, I asked if they should be replaced. "No" was the answer. 2 months later I hear a chirping coming from under the hood. This time I take it to Rick. Yup, one of those pulleys. He replaced them all for far less than what the dealer charged to replace only the water pump. He also replaced the cable that goes up the steering column and made the Cruise Control work again. (The dealer wanted almost a $1000 to replace that same cable.) This guy is the best.....5 stars because I can't give him 6.

I’ve been coming here for several years to get my car serviced but lately their customer service has been declining.Anytime you try to call them to make an appointment the phone will ring and ring and go to voicemail. If the voicemail box isn’t full (which a lot of the time it is), I leave a voicemail, it is not returned so I have to keep calling.Another time I asked for my service receipt cause he gave me the wrong account. When I called and asked for it, Rick gave me an email address but it was invalid. Did I bother to call and follow up? No because I knew I wouldn’t get them on the phone as previously stated and he didn’t feel it important enough the first time when I requested it when he gave me an invalid email.Another time I called and spoke to Rick to schedule an appointment for a Monday morning as per his availability. However when I got there, the shop was closed with no one there. When I call his number it goes straight to voicemail. No call to tell me they weren’t gonna be open and no call to say to reschedule.As much as I liked their service before all these issues that have happened in the last few months, I will no longer be coming to them for future services.

I made an appointment and he took care of my oil change. Rick also turned my front rotors due to steering shaking! Will come back..... they are busy so Make an appointment! It worth the wait! 2008 LX570

Rick was a Lexus certified mechanic for over 15years who started his own business. Can't beat the service and pricing. I wouldn't bring any of my cars to anyone else.
