I have been here before for smog checks and things in the past and found the owner/manager to always be very nice. I was surprised today when I was turned away by the mechanic and then the manager. The mechanic said they don't work on diesels which I know they used to...but regardless I said it has a broken leaf spring. Nothing to do with what type of fuel obviously. I said okay and as I was driving away when the manager walks in the lot from the sidewalk and comes to my window. I said I have a broken leaf spring and your mechanic said you don't work on diesels. He scratches his head for a minute thinking and then says... "just do a search on the internet I'm sure you will find a place."Meanwhile their lot has tons of space and the sign reads "auto and truck service". There are a few other older trucks with dropped axles and things so I know they can do the work. I didn't expect the work to be done today as I showed up on a Friday afternoon. Was just hoping to have them order parts and I could return on a day they were available. We didn't make it that far. I drive a F350. A shame to have a nice big lot and a sign that says truck service but won't work on trucks.

The place is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Tarik took over 4 months for an engine rebuild. When I called he wanted me to call the place that he outsourced the engine rebuild to. I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

Told them to fix every leak it had when I got a back there was two other brand new leaks, also when I took it my transmission was running healthy. After two days of barely driving started to hear weird noises went back and they told me to bring it back to fix it and still charge me for it even thoe they messed it up

I read some of the reviews and felt obligated to set the record straight as I'm not going to allow BS to fly 'Phillips Auto' deserves better...I actually used to work on my car myself and quite capable I believe everyone should be properly compensated for a job well done.. I chose this shop to save my energy and can tell you, this is honest work and good follow up and that is always hard to find. In my ten years, Never have I been disappointed. If they can fix it, they'll tell yah, yes or no and usually give you a referral if not. I'm very happy to recommend to anyone as I do regularly. Just telling it like it is...

Do not come here. I took my car here and the owner tripled price on the parts and labor. And on top that the car was not fixed right. Not only that he shoved my car out of his lot on the street, without even giving me chance to get a tow.

Wish I couldve gave my business to this place.. called over the phone and explained my situation.. Unfortunateky they only work on vehicles 2000 and newer :( but atleast they told me right away before we wasted eachothers time.. so here is a 4 star rating for that ?♂️

Honest Honest Honest I have 3 friends that take their cars here. I brought my car here after the Dodge dealer made a mess. Phillips auto not only fixed it but did it for a lot less and did way more !!!! They can be really busy or slow depending on the day. He saves the parts and you see what he fixed and why. I drive from WLA, leave my car and rent a car. Enterprise even drove me back to pick up my car. Do yourself a favor, give them a try.
