I talked with a banker for 30 mins in HSBC and they never asked me to have a sit. Obviously they are rich and no need new customers. Don’t come and go to a big name bank for much better service.

UPDATE: AVOID THIS "BANK" AT ALL COSTS. They keep your money in transfer for days to get free interests, in complete disregard for the inconvenience and financial damages it may cause you or the recipient,I submitted an international wire transfer. Called to confirm all the details. However the transfer has not gone through after more than a week despite their app saying "completed". The branch says they are unable to check the status so I'll have to call their customer service. Customer service says it's still in "clearing" - haven't even left the US yet. They have no set date for the completion. I ask to cancel the transfer. They agreed but then told me that it will take at least two days for them to review the cancellation request - and the reversal may or may not succeed!! According to them, I may also receive less than the original amount because of currency rate fluctuations, so they are essentially charging me the bid-ask spread for money they sat on for days.I am filing a complaint to CFPB and OCC.--The branch and relationship manager is fine. HOWEVER for a simple transaction - be prepared to spend hours on the phone talking to their customer service center in India and their broken phone app.

There are no tellers! You have to wait for all the other customers to finish whatever they are doing, and then they will help you out!

Worst bank ever, stay away! Seriously stay away. Glad they sold off their consumer branch since this place is a trap, have no atms anywhere and seriously lacking app and online banking.

I opened my my checking account 6 months ago. They told me that i will receive $750 bonus for an opening premier account but I have never received yet. I called costumer service at least 5 times and they just kept saying you’re eligible to receive your bonus and every costumer support agent says something else to me when i ask why i never received my promotion.You will never receive your bonus and they will not to tell you a certain thing about that.This bank is the worst bank i have ever seen.Poor costumer service!

Bad service, Unpleasant experience!The process of the entire bank is slow. It takes two ~ three or more weeks to open an account. During the waiting time, I didn’t get any updates/email or message of the delay of the process. But have to call to the bank to ask for it, and also when you call there it takes more forever to have someone answer your call.

Every time I come here I have to wait for over 20 minutes even they don’t have many customers in the branch. They just like to keep their customers waiting. Today finally I cancelled my account, no more waiting here!

After banking here about 19 years personally and with business banking almost 10 years HSBC closed my personal banking account with out justification. My Fico is 800 and they decided to just close my credit card with out calling me and I called them because the credit card would not work and they told me my business account is closed November 15 and my personal account at end of October . By no means did I ever have and shortages of funds they just decided they would do this because I transferring monies out to another competitor who is paying a higher interest rate . They are screwing me up because I am not giving them all my business . This bank is not loyal to its customers even if they have a perfect banking record . I suggest to all to find another place to invest your monies or borrow . I am very disappointed in HSBC and I hope they get into deep trouble with they way they treat their customers. I gave them one star . But their track record seems to be 2 stars across the board from looking at they're reviews . Beware of banking here .

A year later still haven't received account open bonus. Worst service ever. The banker named Katie is rude and unhelpful.
