We ordered a cake at the bakery for a farewell party. We didn't pay attention to the cake until we got to the party as my son picked it up for us. I had asked for a beautiful cake with colors of choice of the baker...."just make the cake beautiful" is what I said. To our surprise and embarrassment in front of my coworkers the cake was plain white on top, no decoration and the writing terrible....very unprofessional looking. We also ordered marbled...does this look marbled? I didnt say half chocolate and half white!!! See pic below. I quickly ran to Raleys for another cake as this cake was too embarrassing to serve! Good thing that the person who we were bidding farewell didn't see this ugly cake that came from safeway. Update: We called and spoke to the manager of Safeway and she was apologetic and kind. She went out of her way to make this right. So although I was disappointed about the cake I am happy that the customer service is top notch!! Thank you Jackie!

Got pork chops thin cut yesterday $20 for two packs 6 chops! They were Rick hard Yucko yucky! No one could eat them Never in my life have I had such bad pork! Garbage!

This rating is for the sushi. I usually go get their $5 sushi Friday and then saw that they make platters. I ordered one for Father's Day and talked to Win and he is amazing. I ordered it 24 hours in advance and it looked and tasted amazing. Highly recommend ordering sushi from him. It's also reasonably priced.

Review for bakery - I ordered two tiramisu cakes for my wedding. I was to pick them up at 10AM the day of the wedding. At 10AM the day of my wedding, the bakery called and said that the woman that took my order made a mistake and they didn't have anymore tiramisu. Anyone who has planned a wedding knows this is a nightmare when you have so much you have to do the day of your wedding. I had to scramble and luckily found tiramisu at Raley's. I would hate for this to happen to someone else for their wedding or child's birthday, etc. We were trying to be frugal with our wedding and that's why we decided to go with Safeway. But I guess sometimes you just have to splurge if it's an important occasion.

The girl working the deli was clueless as can be. I ordered various items and if I said a pound she would give me two. Then she didn't charge me hardly anything for the chicken...which was good since it was all raw. The manager couldn't be bothered to come down and talk to me. I got a refund and got hella sick from food poisoning. This Safeway has issues...management doesn't know or care what's going on and the employees know it. There is nothing worse than having to deal with people that hate their job and just don't care about food safety. The health department should make a stop by this location...unannounced and see what's doin.

Anyone who writes a good review for this Safeway have not seen the official health inspection records of this Safeway. Go look for yourself. THIS SAFEWAY HAS MORE THAN 3 RESCENT MAJOR HEALTH VIOLATIONS. Most of these are for not taking proper care of the meat. They are not storing meat cleanly and at right temperatures. I have wasted upwards of $60 dollars on meat that I had to throw away as soon as I open it because it is rotten. Doesn't matter if it's not past the expiration date, because it's not stored at the right temps so it rots faster. Also, why is it that every time I go to the meat section literally 75% of the meats are ALREADY PAST EXPIRATION date? Yes, they actually SELL meat that is past expiration. This goes for any other parish able product. Constantly getting spoiled juices and such. This is not a grocery store, it's a health hazard. If you want to pay to get sick this is your place.

This is my # 1 supermarket throughout USA due to the consistent outstanding customer service. Gabrielle from the Seafood Department provided me the best and outstanding customer service! She is extremely personable, knowledgeable, helpful, and truly cares for the customers. Gabrielle was throughout the store helping the customers. She is also extremely knowledgeable about the products being sold at the store. Gabrielle went above and beyond to ensure the customers are always highly satistied. For Safeway's Management, please take the time to recognize Gabrille for showcasing the true meaning of outstanding customer service! Thank you Gabrielle for the great job!

Terrible service have more checkers. Covid is not an excuse, you're not monitoring the number of customers in or out and causing backlog of long lines not what the CDC had in mind. Small business is suffering but you stay open, least you could do is care about your customers. Lines ALWAYS long even before covid so not an excuse just terrible management & service. And no I'm not checking out myself, you don't wipe them down after each customer and I don't get a discount for doing YOUR JOB

Went shopping at Safeway the whole time I keep hearing this how their looking out for my well being and safety of there customers during corona epidemic . Here big problem I have about this whole thing and this been going on way before corona and I don't care which store you go to it the same problem, they have 8 registers but only 2 are open you go and stand in line they have people standing and waiting in each line that stretches all the way back to end of store, as you standing there you have other customers squeezing by trying get merchandise off shelf's, now explain to me how's is this all safe. As I go pay the cashier all I hear her complaining instead of complaining to customer how about go give your manager ear full. You guys need to change your system sucks big time

This store seems to always have a problem when the customer wants to check out, there just aren't enough registers open. No self checkout options either. You stand in line forever and it just doesn't move. Finally your just so angry you walk out and go to Raleys. My advise is just go to Raleys in the first place. The managers at Safeway aren't available for complaints and they just don't care. I'm taking my business down the street even though it's out of my way at times.

Well I will start the review by saying disappointing.I have visited the deli numerous times at this location. I haven't visited in months as the last item I bought wasn't to my satisfaction. Today I was in the area on my lunch break and needed one item from the store. I decided that since I was here and on a limited time schedule, I would purchase a sandwich. This is when things got a little weird.First, I was standing at the counter and was surprised that no one was there besides me. When an employee appeared from the back another lady walked up on the opposite side. The employee did ask who was first but before I could answer the lady said she was. Since people are a little "on edge" lately I decided to just let her go before me. Once her transaction was completed the employee then came my direction.I was going to try something new - an Italian sandwich that I saw in my Safeway weekly deals. When I asked the ingredients, the employee pointed to the sign. It was a little rude but okay. I apologized as I didn't see it when I first looked up. I then decided based on ingredients that I would order a turkey sandwich instead. She started to prepare the sandwich and asked what I would like. Since I was directed to look at the sign menu I was reading items from there. I wanted mayo and brown mustard. She put the mayo on the sandwich and then looked around for the brown mustard and then told me after looking for it, they didn't offer it anymore. I found that odd but okay, I told her a little yellow mustard. Then I told her I wanted garlic spread or oil. She then squirted chiptole ranch on the bread. I asked her was that the garlic spread and she said oh this is something a little spicy. I then repeated I requested garlic. She then told me they didn't offer it anymore. I then pointed to the sign/menu and said but both items are showing up there. She then told me that it was discontinued a few weeks ago. We pretty much then had a stare off for a few seconds as I was confused. This is a large corporation and they didn't bother to update the sign? During this stare off I just decided to say, her never mind as sandwiches are $6.99, and apparently I was going to have this "freshly made sandwich" (which is on the sign) made her way and not mine. I also do not care for ranch so the whole incident made me feel some type of way.....

The people that work at this Safeway work their butts off so that shoppers can provide for their families during this pandemic. Have some patience, maybe you´re experiences as shoppers will be better.

This is for the girl Aliya in the deli. (Sorry if I misspelled your name). You're an amazing sandwich artist! I've been coming here for 10+ years and always order the same sandwich, Mediterranean veggie, well today you went above and beyond. You took your time, asked if every step was ok, and even suggested a little extra! There were a few people behind me and never once did I feel rushed. Once in a while after a few bites I wish I would have gotten more of something but every bite here was better than the last!! Delicious!!!

The staff at our local Safeway always try their best to help us with whatever we are shopping for. The store has many types of food and household needs. Their wine selection and prices can't be beat anywhere. These are tough times, and we appreciate all that they do.
