I visited the Skechers showroom in Escondido, San Diego, for the first time. As a long-time Skechers lover, I've always preferred their shoes and have visited various showrooms in Bangalore, India, and Miami, Florida. Unfortunately, my experience at this location was vastly different and quite disappointing.
From the moment I walked in, I received no assistance from the staff. They were not only unhelpful but also a bit rude, with no smiles on their faces, which immediately set a negative tone.
While browsing and trying to find shoes that interested me, a staff member approached me with an empty box and asked, "Where did the shoes go?" Confused, I asked, "Which shoes?" He pointed to the box and said, "The shoes that were in this empty box." I responded, "How would I know?" He then clarified, " I just saw you in that aisle, its ok !, so I asked." What a bizarre and accusatory interaction! I had walked around the entire shop, so was he planning to ask me about every empty box?
I had picked out 3-4 pairs of shoes to try on and was in the process of selecting the best fit. After choosing the one I liked, I started packing the others back into their boxes. Suddenly, a staff member walked by and told me not to pack the shoes myself, as she would handle it. I agreed, only to be reprimanded in a harsh tone, "Won’t you guys put the shoes properly back in the boxes?" I replied, "I was doing just that, but you stopped me." She then remarked, "Really? But the boxes are empty, and the shoes are outside." I was utterly disappointed. I explained, "I was about to pack them back, you only stopped me and now you're asking why the boxes are empty and the shoes are outside." Such a ridiculous behavior!
Skechers management should take note of the following:
1)Customers visit outlets to try on and purchase shoes that interest them.
2)Staff should show mutual respect to customers.
3)Staff should be helpful and provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere, which customers definitely deserve.
This is not the service I expect from Skechers, and I hope management addresses these issues promptly.

Nice store. Always seem to have the Buy 1 pair get 1/2 off the 2nd. Giving 4 because many shoes not available in my size. Nylon protective stockings are a little disconcerting for a manly man! LOL

I ordered online and picked up at this store. The store is well stocked, clean and tidy.
The personnel are friendly and helpful.

We visited the store recently to purchase shoes for my elderly mother. She wanted a very specific type of shoe. Jocelyn went above and beyond to assist her with finding the right shoes bringing multiple pairs to her. Jocelyn is a kind and very competent employee. Her customer service skills are excellent.
