The female employees of this bank are very rude, arrogant and impolite.
Because I didn't have an account with them, they delayed me for a week to cash my check They are very stingy to validate parking fee and make the customer suffer.
I thanked them politely several times, not only they did not answer, they did not even look at the customer. ?

Disappointing Experience at Encino Branch!! I recently had an encounter with the Encino branch of City National Bank this week, and unfortunately, it left me with a rather negative impression. The initial customer service representative who redirected my call from the main line to the local branch seemed helpful and genuinely interested in assisting me. However, my experience with the Encino branch itself was far from satisfactory.Upon reaching the branch, I was met with a disinterested and seemingly disgruntled individual. Not only did she lack any enthusiasm in scheduling an appointment to open a new Checking Account, but her tone was notably toxic. I was taken aback by her unprofessionalism and felt more like a number than a valued customer.Furthermore, the information I received about opening an account was inconsistent and, frankly, frustrating. The representative stated that to establish a relationship with City National Bank, a minimum deposit of $1,000 is required. This contradicts the online information, which indicates a lower minimum deposit of $100, and even states that it's free for individuals over a certain age.To add to the confusion, the representative suggested that, if I were looking for a lower deposit, perhaps a larger, more established bank would be a more suitable option. This recommendation only intensified my concerns about the viability of City National Bank for my banking needs. The account was intended to be established using funds from a real estate transaction, along with other assets, within a month. Therefore, this initial deposit was meant to initiate the account before all transactions could be deposited. However, the representative displayed a lack of interest during the call and failed to grasp that any monthly fees would have been acceptable until the deposits and transactions could move forwardThis discrepancy in information and the lack of a customer-centric approach at the Encino branch have left me hesitant about pursuing any further engagement with City National Bank. The contrast between the caring attitude of the initial customer service agent and the indifferent demeanor at the local branch is quite disappointing. My experience with the Encino branch has raised concerns about the consistency and quality of customer service at City National Bank and I hope the bank takes steps to address such issues to ensure a more positive and customer-friendly environment. I have decided to take the advice and look elsewhere.

A bank that won't break a hundred dollar bill. Went in to get 5 $20s but because I don't have an account with them they would not break my hundred. Said it was their policy. I could understand if it was a check but cash?! Really! Apparently they must have too many customers cause I definitively will never be one. Went to the grocery store and they had no problem breaking it. They apparently do wasn't my business!

So the drive thru no one was responding I waited awhile and finally went in saying the bell was broken. I was greeted by Azniv stating someone would be with me soon. I wait and she calls me over to process my deposit. Now I notice that all her co-workers are men and I only noticed because when she is helping me she greets the next person that comes in and says someone will be right with you...I look around and the men are not doing ANYTHING, didn't greet. nothing. Then after she says this one of them goes oh I can help you right here. So I ask - is that your job to be greeter too? She says no and I say why is it the only woman working doing all the greeting and busy...she stated she liked to give the personal attention but I thought it was very sexist that the men did nothing and would have sat there and said nothing. I mean she is busy - she didn't say it right away they had plenty of time to greet them but they didn't. I found it very discriminatory and emailing corporate. WOW the sexist attitude in this place is HIGH. Azniv - you are a rockstar those around you have been noticed and if I have to walk in again and see this is still going on. I will raise a ruckus in the lobby.

An unbelievably hostile environment. I've gone into this branch only a handful of times and every single time it's been an unpleasant experience. The tellers seem hostile, and annoyed. They seem confused on how to perform the most basic tasks - like how to handle coin deposits. I have never seen a bank have trouble with depositing coins, honestly I'm still in shock. Not to mention they have an additional charge to deposit coins. Also every one of the tellers seems to think that a mask over the nose is unnecessary. They only have their masks over their mouth, nose exposed. The entire office is like this.Clearly there's some sort of issue with management because the entire office seems to unified in their flaws.

I used to bank here, but the parking entity in charge of their structure is completely corrupt. Cash only? You park for three minutes and are charged SIX DOLLARS? Such a bad look for a great bank....

I have been extremely happy with my experience at this branch. While most of my interaction has been with Bryan Baca as my dedicated Relationship Manager, I have had a very positive experience with everyone that I've engaged with at the bank.I have multiple business accounts with them, and I feel that each one gets a personal touch that I was not getting at my previous banks.

What is going on here???? The branches are closed no ATM's outside the branch to even make a deposit. Drive up teller in Encino opens at 9! This is insanity. Let's just say I have lost serious trust with this bank!!

Wow what a horrible experience. Most of the banks are closed excepts encino and Beverly Hills. I drove to encino to make a deposit but only the drive up is open. I'm in a large work truck that doesn't fit under the parking structure so I have to walk up like I have done since covid 19. The gal wouldn't help me around with me for 5 minutes saying is a liability. I could have made several deposits in that amount if time. I think she's racist!!

City National Bank is the best bank I have ever worked with. They are the Rolls Royce of banks. The people are smart, helpful and quick to resolve any issue. Their security system is second to none. But most importantly, they actually care about their customers. A+.

STAY AWAY! Cost me tens of thousand of dollars for the mistake of doing my business banking at City National Bank for DECADES. They just SHUT DOWN processing PPP small business financing randomly because they "had a lot" to process. Government demands businesses process PPP financing through your business bank. If you made the mistake of banking with CNB you are screwed due to their incompetence. Their so-called called "Relationship Banking" is a farce. It's BAD RELATIONSHIP BANKING Do yourself a favor and do your business with a competent organization that doesn't COST their client money.

Came into this bank earlier today since they are in my building and seemed convenient. I came in to have them break a $100 bill and ask about opening an account. I go up to the teller and ask about getting quarters. They ask if I have an account and I say not yet. They say they can't help me without an account. I'm like wait really? You can't break a hundred? Without an account. The teller actually starts to get mad and raises his voice repeating that they can't help me without an account. So I say "You are telling me that you can't take a $100 bill and give me $100 in $20 dollar bills back?" His voice gets louder. NO. WE WONT HELP YOU WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT! I have never heard of this policy before. I used to work at a bank and this was never the policy of any bank I have ever gone to. Seeing as the security guard was now walking over I said ok and left. Later on I called their main line thinking I just got a j*** teller. So I ask the phone representative the same question about cash. She also raises her voice and eventually says "I'm trying not to be rude but there is absolutely no way anyone in a branch will talk to you unless you already have an account." At that point I let her know that I was trying to open an account before I got yelled at and had security walk toward me. She got quiet and said "Oh, I'm sorry about that. I can help you open one now. " F*** THAT. If you are going to have 2 employees yell at me about a cash transaction and send a security guard when a teller yells why would I ever have anything to do with this bank? Might want to send your employees back to customer service camp and rethink your policy about cash transactions to non-account holders. Really puts people off to banking with you when you treat them like s****

I am super happy with this bank. I think all of these negative reviews must have been from a while ago. We recently switched to this bank and Bryan Baca has assisted us with every financial need under the sun. We really like to personal touch and we truly feel looked after. VERY happy with CNB!
