Love this store! Having a business in the community that features a curated collection of boutique, local clothing and accessory brands is absolutely ideal for the Leucadia and Encinitas area. Surf and motorcycle culture are a staple of the coastal San Diego lifestyle. I've been a faithful customer of Seaweed & Gravel for many years...and now I have the honor of Dave, the owner, giving me the opportunity of showcasing my own local menswear brand! Make sure you experience the store, it's vibe and selection are like nowhere else in north county SD.

This is a place to browse and enjoy the process. I found several MeToMe gifts and know that this will be the first place I check when looking for gifts for others. The staff are so welcoming and helpful.

Every time I’m in San Diego, I go out of my way to come here. The coolest store with the best vibes. Their house pants are the best pants in my closet. Highly advise getting yourself a pair. Can’t wait to get back!

Love this shop!! David was so nice in store with my purchase and equally as nice when I emailed him about making an exchange!I live about 45 mins from the shop and realized (the day after I was there) I had purchased size medium in a “seaweed and gravel” shirt and hoodie and needed larges. They were closed on Monday so I couldn’t drive back out so I submitted a contact request on their website and Dave got back to me so quick and was so understanding about it, no million questions asked! My husband and I have been going to and supporting this small business for many years now and will definitely continue to do so!

In love with anything in this unclassified store. I discovered it today and thought was new and just reading it has 10 years of life. I thought it was a motorcycle gear store and then stepping into was able to admire the painted surf boards, female and male apparel, second hand clothing, cool laid-back art...and the super surprise of a bondai shop or garden in the backyard. Very near and plenty of good vibes. Don't forget to take a look at the signs indicating the distance to various locations!

This place is surprisingly horrid. They sell motorcycles that are basically trash w clubman bars for 20x the usual value. Seems like everyone is so sure they know everything, they never took the time to learn anything. Dingalings

I am a 4th generation Encinitas local, born and raised in Leucadia. All my friends, family and I love this place and the owner. I hope it stays forever. I write this review out of love for the small business I feel lucky to have in my home town! A HUGE recommendation to check this place out if you haven't yet! Great vintage finds, reallly rad leather work, unique surfboards, dope sunglasses, solid gear for riding, and just a great place to mozy through on your day off!

By far the most on point clothing store that is real SD coastal surf vibe. Amazing high quality clothing, great variety, nothing over done but not under stated.I will be coming back and upgrading my wardrobe here for myself and all my buddies.

Seaweed & Gravel just might be the coolest store in the whole wide world. It is so neat without preening or coming off at all hipster; so well curated with a variety of goods without ever seeming hodge podge; Ari is knowledgeable, personal and and terrific, and they have BANZAI trees. What?!? Sauntered on while on a surf trip from Long Island, stayed for an hour and left with all kinds of goodies. Alas, that Sunset board wasn't going to fit in the carry on. Your good fortune that it's still there. You should buy it now.
