Like this spot. It's not too busy. Always parking. Clean and has a punching bag.

I signed up for their black membership, their highest tier membership, a little over a year ago. Since then, they have notified me that they have increased my membership by 30%.I read through my contract, and showed the manager where it says "No change to any printed term in this Agreement (the price) shall be valid" and she deflected all questions and comments I had. I'm no lawyer, but I'm sure EOS has ways of changing their own agreement after it has been signed by the customer, but this is just one of the myriad of problems I've had with EOS.So, if you don't mind being locked into a contract with a gym that will increase your prices by 30% every year, then this is the gym for you!

My daughter (with special needs) and I have been members at EOS gym since the beginning. We have loved working out there before the Covid pandemic and it took us i while to get back in. The equipment is always available, the place is clean and you can’t beat the price for a gym this size. When we did go back, we signed up for personal training. We loved our trainers Sarah and Sam. They modified training for us, which isn’t always easy ( we are 4’4” and 4’11”. They always have a pleasant attitude worked with us. I highly recommend EŌS gym in Encinitas!

I have been going to this gym for 19 1/2 years - back when it was Frog's and through 2 other owners. They did a nice job during the pandemic by opening outdoor space. The gym started getting too busy and too many arguments were breaking out on the floor for my taste. I joined another gym for a lot more money but it has been worth it. The management of EOS makes it impossible to leave and they keep charging my card for monthly and annual fees 3 months after resigning. I have tried to straighten this out and the location manager just says "its up to corporate" They are both disingenuous and dishonest. I have never bothered to write a review on any establishment, but this has gone too far and I feel the need to warn others DO NOT SIGN UP and DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO. Do not let them do this to you! If there was a way to give less than one star I would. Disgruntled, Bob Z

Kenny was amazing! He was my personal trainer for an hour today, helping me get my shoulder strength back after 6 months of physical therapy. Kenny is an expert in sports injury recovery, and he was able to pinpoint the perfect exercisers for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to reach their fitness goals in a non-explosive manner for long-term success.

Love the vibe at this gym! Claudia and Sylaina always make it welcoming, and Alejandro is always helpful. The outdoor area is super cool with its view. Definitely check it out

EōS Fitness your Encinitas location needs to enforce gym etiquette. You should be like EOS Oceanside and learn from them. When instructors form clicks with the entitled students in this class and allow things they shouldn't it's not right. Last time I'll be attending classes at this location.

I have been working out at EoS with one of their personal trainers for about a year now and have consistently received excellent service

The only reason I like this gym is bc of the classes. They at times didn't have AC running, even during the summer! I moved to LA 10/1 and called on 9/1 to put in my 30 days notice. The girl at the desk (who clearly didn't know the policy) told me to call after my billing date (mid-September), so I did so. When I called mid-September, they told me I needed to give a 30 day notice and that I'd still be billed in mid-October. So there I was paying for 1.5 months worth of a gym membership I couldn't use. Spoke with multiple people, including the manager, and no one was willing to help me get a refund, and were all very aloof, lazy, and didn't care. As a manager here, you could've done your best to help me a get a refund and contact your billing dept and explain the situation or pay me back out of the gym's pocket. Great customer service, EOS!

Good gym gets the job done but the bathroom is never clean and the sauna smells horrible. Definitely need scents in there aswell as cleaning.

They keep raising the rates on the loyal members that have been there for a long time. Meanwhile, they give deals to get a ton of of teenagers in there who have a tendency to monopolize the machines while on their phones. No rules are enforced? as there are many people slamming weights and yelling and grunting. Not to mention people just hanging out on the machines. I mentioned this to the front desk, and their reply was that I should handle it? Oh well, they clearly just care about getting more bodies in there. Corporate America.

Joined EoS Fitness with high hopes, but canceling my membership has been a nightmare. Despite multiple requests in person and in writing, they ignored my cancellation and sent it to collections. I’ve heard from other members facing the same issues. It’s unacceptable and a total mess. Would not recommend joining if you ever plan to leave.

Please do not sign up for any training sessions here! The classes and gym overall is good. I tried the personal training and the trainer without warming me up started placing heavy weights on my hands and asked me to do all types of exercises without paying any attention to my health condition/fitness level. I then cancelled the contract the next day and was told it’s been cancelled and the charged amount will be refunded. It’s been over 3 months and they keep lying about the refund. So overall very dishonest trainers/front staff- avoid training part if you can!

I havent been able to use the sauna for months because its always too cold. It seems that they are aware of this and never really accommodate a bare minimum temperature. It wasn't like this before. For 30 years the sauna had a regular always on switch that kept it at a decent temperature. Now, they have a lock box over the switch and put a short timer on it so it never really gets hot and everyone is at the mercy of the sometimes non existent person who is supposed to unlock it to press the precious button. As if we're not paying for this to be on the whole time. As if we all have hours to sit and wait for it to heat up!!!!!!!!!! Why don't we just get paid to wait? When you drive all the way there and prepare yourself for sauna only to sit in it and watch the dial rapidly lower in temperature to below 100 degrees within minutes its extraordinarily frustrating. I have voiced my concerns about multiple issues with the new management and they wrote back that they would be happy to end my membership acknowledging that they wouldn't change.

I own my own barbershop down the road google Naz barbershop , and although I have a 24 hour membership I wanted to give this gym a try since it’s literally down the block from my barbershop and I can come get a 45min workout whenever I can step out .Clean facility with clean bathroom and very unique layout feels like made plenty of cardio machines and outdoor areas and who doesn’t love that !
