Much apologies for past comments, Lyle is a real great guy despite what I'm going through, known him for 16 plus years and he's always done a great job and he knows what he's doing and he's been doing it, El Sobrante Wheel And Brake has been around since black and white tv and photos, and it will continue to, want a great brake jobs without the shade tree mechanic shenanigans, look no further, 4040 San Pablo Dam Rd. One thing I've learned is it takes a man to admit when they are wrong and own up to it, also that just because a person might be angry going through it or whatever the cause, doesn't make it right to dirty up someone's name, this isn't brown nosing or anything of the like, its stepping up to the plate making things right.

My husband has been bringing his car to Lyle for years. This is my second time getting brakes changed on my car with Lyle. He's honest, fast, and has great pricing. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle to Lyle!

Lyle installed several suspension parts on my vehicle. His work was excellent and his rates are very reasonable. Also, he was easy to communicate with and went through the work he did in detail. Highly recommend!

I would honestly give this guy a 10-star review if I could. I ended up calling this place after the dealership wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to replace a stud and I wanted someone professional outside the dealership to get this done. I went by yelp reviews as I often do for services and noticed all the 5-star reviews, so I called and made an appointment. I couldn't be happier. To say this guy goes above and beyond is an understatement. I would bring my car again for brake and wheel services and recommend this business highly to anyone in search of a trustworthy and honorable wheels and brakes shop for your car.

Neighborhood shop which has been in business since 1960'sWork is done by appointmentAnd friendly you do need someone to pick you up if the service is going to take awhile or if you stay metal chair.. shop doesn't have waiting room or bathroom...You can't beat their attention to service of your vehicle plus bone cut prices for what you receive no dealer markup here...Takes u back to when you trusted the local shops be it repair or hardware storesThis shop gives you one on oneSo enough said...Hopefully all had Great 4th July this year!Happy trails folk's!Take care be safe give someone a Smile....

Sent a request (for pricing/services) through the Yelp app. Someone responded and stated they were booked for two weeks out. No biggie. Gave them my VIN number to get pricing information. The problem is when I asked for a quote on a strut replacement. I was told their suppliers did not have the struts in stock. I was given a quote for struts way over the amount of the stock Infiniti struts. Like most of the shops I've reached out to on Yelp they are ordering the wrong shocks. This place quoted me 475-500 bucks per strut. I have the stock struts which come in one complete set. Meaning the struts, shocks, springs, etc come in one complete piece. The reason why this place didn't have them is because you can only get them through the dealership. I ordered them straight from Infiniti. Each set was $337 a piece. A lot less than what this shop was going to charge me. Most likely he had the wrong set of shocks. Which is also a reason why his "suppliers" didn't have them. I asked would he be able to use the stock Infiniti struts and he said "no thank you". I have the receipt showing they came directly from the Infiniti . Again pretty sure he had the wrong shocks/struts. You give me a quote overpricing me for the parts but won't even consider putting the factory struts on. Horrible customer service however, them saying no probably saved me from a major headache.

I had a great experience here. I chose the spot because of other reviews describing the mechanic as trustworthy and I agree with those reviews after my experience. Lyle was clear in explaining what the issue was and thoroughly explained my options and offered his recommendation without being pressuring. His quotes seemed reasonable to me and he did the work quickly and effectively. I will definitely consider this my go-to spot for car repairs

I own an Infiniti and have been going to the dealer for years of maintenance. Recently, I tried the local shop for a brake pad replacement. My experience with Lyle was genuinely exceptional - 1)Great quality work on the car, 2)Truly a gentleman, friendly. I highly recommend giving this local service a trial!
