“There is something to be said about going to a specialist rather than going to a big box store or online. My experience here was wonderful. I didn't even make a purchase when stopping into this place the first time. I was just curious about a pro shop. However, John provided excellent recommendations and was so patient with all my questions, that I knew I was going to make my purchase at Plaza! And so...I came back a second time to sign up for the demo program to try out a few rackets. I have to say John was spot on and I found myself a new racket! You will not be disappointed with the excellent service here. You will get top notch advice and try out products if you need. Give this place a try because you definitely will not get better interaction at those big box stores!!!”
“The fellas over at Liberal Fishing Tackle and Loan are TOP NOTCH. Don't let the rough side of town discourage you from visiting. I promise you it is safe and the crew WILL take GREAT care of you. “Went there for a sling bag, found it, all good. But then tried getting some help with a unique request, and although they didn't have exactly what I needed they tried helping me think outside the box to achieve what I was after. I appreciate that!
Also got a surprise at checkout, apparently I had $45 in credit on my account so the $60 sling bag actually cost me $15, nice!!
All in all, about typical for my REI experience: professional, helpful, fast. Thanks guys!! Side note: maybe expand your skydiver section!!!!”

“Flying kites in Berkeley is a tradition that should be passed along from generation to generation. Its the same as buying a kite here at HighLine Kites. The worlds smallest kite shop. Tom (the owner) wont let you down on a getting a great kite deal. Take some time out of life to enjoy the simple things. GO FLY A KITE IN BERKELEY!! He is there on the weekends shows up around 130pm if you need any help look around for me and I can get you started.HAVE SOME FUN IN THE SUN THIS SUMMER AND GO FLY A KITE!”

“Decided to take the plunge (well many plunges) and learn to wing foil. Matt was an awesome instructor for my first lesson. I was hooked. The next day, I met with Jane to buy gear. She was very patient ( as I barely knew which end was up ) and made recommendations for an appropriate board and wing for my size. Again, she remained very patient as she walked me through the set up and inflation process. We were rewarded at the end of our session with a beautiful onshore wind and we were both able to get out on the water. (Well, I was more in than on). There is nothing that can compare to the personal service provided by Boardsports California. As I progress, and my equipment needs change, I will be consulting with Boardsports (by phone , chat or Zoom) since I’m not local to the Bay Area) . They are experts on the water and experts in passing their knowledge to their customers.”

Easily spent over an hour just checking the whole store out and found two jackets that fit what I was looking for and two other fun items I just liked. “As I company, I'm a big fan of T9. Love their brand, their products, their real-women athlete models. I had my first in-store experience in years when I came in to return something that I ordered online which didn't fit. The store did not disappoint. The associate who helped me was assisting others when I walked in, so I looked around for my replacement jumper. They didn't have it, but it was no problem. Within a few minutes, the T9 associate had processed my return, ordered another in the right size, and helped me order a pair of shorts I'd been eying in the catalogue (after trying on the size and deciding on a slightly different length and color). Both would get delivered to me at home for no delivery fee. I'm not sure how much the return and second delivery charges would have been, but I was happy to not find out. Now I'm so excited about my new summer jumper and shorts that will be coming soon!”
