IM GOING TO HAVE TO GIVE THIS BRANCH A ONE STAR. IF I COULD NOT GIVE IT ANY STARS AND STILL LEAVE A REVIEW, I WOULD…..SO I HAVE BEEN RENTING FROM HERTZ FOR ALMOST 6 MONTHS NOW. I HAVE ALWAYS USED THE SAME FORM OF PAYMENT(CHIME CREDIT CARD) NEVER ONCE HAVE I HAD ANY ISSUES.TODAY AT THIS BRANCH (ONLY) WAS I TOLD MY FORM OF PAYMENT WASN’T ACCEPTED??? HUHIM LIKE ,IVE ALWAYS USED THIE FORM OF PAYMENT. AND NEVER HAD AN ISSUE.I KNOW IT WAS OUT RIGHT RACIAL DISCRIMINATION THAT I WAS EXPERIENCING.I WANTED TO GO TF OFF BUT I WASN’T GOING TO GIVE THEM THE SATISFACTION OF BEING AS IGNORANT AS THEY HAD ASSUMED ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE WHILE THEY WERE RACIALLY PROFILING ME.I SPENT $31 FOR A UBER TO GET HERE FROM EASTLAKE, CHULA VISTA AREA. I ALSO WANT TO ADD THAT I RENTED THE CAR FROM THE UBER APP, AND WANT TO STRESS THAT I HAVE PAID WITH THIS FORM OF PAYMENT FOR MONTHS W/O ANY PROBLEMS. IF NECESSARY I WILL PROVE THAT IVE USED THIS CARD EVERYTIME IVE RENTED FROM HERTZ PREVIOUSLY.MY ADVICE IS IF YOU ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN, BLACK, OR OF DARKER COMPLEXION THERE IS A POSSIBILITY YOU COULD POSSIBLY BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST…………

Ed & Julian in the El Cajon, CA office are true professionals. Excellent customer service and response. Our RV needed upgrades that took a couple of days. I called the other "big" rental companies for pick up and drop off service. Either they didn't have it or would only do one way. Hertz didn't blink. Made my reservation and told me to call when I was ready. Plus, the rental car was in beautiful shape, Ed talked me thru anything unusual and shared pictures of the car to document our agreement on its condition. Highly recommend.

Based solely off Edward, the man behind the counter, I've never witnessed a nicer person juggling madness at the shop. What a nice man and even though he was slammed everyone got his equal attention and kindness. This is the type of person you want your customers to meet. Well done sir.

Very nice employees. Easy to pick up and return your rental. One thing, every rental I picked up was so dirty. A little effort should be put into cleaning them better.

Staff are nice, selection of vehicles varies, but they do their best to take care of you!Only problem I ever had was corporate allowing me to book a car when the place was closed which was a system issue and not with the local office.

This place use to be ok but Ed the “branch manager” has become a complete j*** and not customer service focused due to Melissa C. Linden’s guidance to violate their own CDP policy and discriminate against longtime Herrz Gold Members who have remained loyal to them since 2001. Nevertheless, if they want to not honor their own policy and raise their prices then I will go to another non Hertz owned competitor and suggest you do to why reward this unfounded behavior.

The service is the SLOWEST I've ever been a part of.....the cars available were good, prices okay....but we've dealt with 2 ppl at this location cause we've been here a bunch of times...the female could care less about anything and it's as if we owe her for doin her job...and the guy is very meticulous, however that leads to insane wait times if ur not first in line....

Made a reservation for a car and when I arrived the car wasn't there and the agent wouldn't get me in another car they did have for a comparable rate. This location seems short staffed and the lady apprears to be over it.Good luck with this location.

My car was at the body shop. I left it there for about 4 weeks.I went to a rental agency, but was disappointed with the service. I walked out.I called Hertz, Ed was beyond professional. He was very frendand upfront about the whole process. Made my nightmare of dealing with the insurance and body shop a breeze.Thank you Ed for your calm and professional manner.

Ed was so amazing! Very friendly. We even asked him about buying a car from hertz. He explained the process. We turned the car in on a Saturday. They are closed on Sunday. And Ed called me to let us know my step Daughter left her wallet in the car! Thank god for good people!

Reserved a car months ago. Showed up to pick up the car and they rented it to someone else 5 minutes before. Apparently you have 2 hours from the time your reservation time or they rent your car without even calling you. We showed up at 11:03, manager rented it to someone else who he didn’t have a car for 5 minutes before. So he actually rented my car 2 minutes before my time was up, without even calling me. Told me it was my fault and to “take accountability.” I thought I was being nice by letting them get over the morning rush, and thought by reserving a car, I had a reservation. Horrible. To top it off, the they have no cars and would put me second in line on the wait list, even though he sold my car before my time was up.
