“This is my family’s favorite bookstore. We’ve found many great vintage children’s books at decent prices. The staff is friendly, and the environment is inclusive.”
“I have borrowed few equipments from Convalescent Aid Society and I have had great experience with them from creating the account to ease in getting the equipment i needed for my family member. It is such a blessing to get the equipment without paying anything , may be little donation if you can afford to keep the program going, so everyone can benefit from this non profit organization.I am very thankful to the Founder of this organization and the supporting staf as wellThank you”

“3/5/23 Urban farming in the middle of Compton! Support local farmers/vendors every other Sunday 8am-1 pmI was fortunate enough to tag along with my bro, test driving the Car of the Future-Faraday Future FF91. It's a triple treat: hanging out with my brother, visiting on the farms, riding in the car of the future. Life is an endless realm of possibilities!!The farm started with the crew's huddle right before 8am-inspirational! Bro & I checked out the farm & see what's growing: broccoli, radish, kale. Collard green, glowers & herbs. Bought a couple of bouquets & some raisin rolls. It's always so positively awesome after coming by & embracing nature's harvest, meeting the crew. Kudos to Richard, Mario & Mando-such friendly people. Highly recommend this place, it's small but big on freshness & customer service!!”
“Came up here because I was down on my luck and needed some food. These folks were so friendly as soon as you walk up to their gate. The emergency food is right at the front easily ready to go and the gentleman out in the front was so helpful and kind. It’s beautiful to know there is places like this and hope with a helping hand out here. Thank you all and God bless you.”

4700 N Griffin Ave, Los Angeles“We had the pleasure of hosting a wedding there last month. The location is beautiful and private. The facility is set up in a way that allows for a step above the complete DIY or an all inclusive planned event. It's so much more than a standard hotel ballroom. If you want to dance the night away under the stars in a gorgeous courtyard, I would recommend checking this out!!”
“Without any doubt, the best narrative driven school of the world (at least of my world). In this place, you learn STORY, hence it transforms you. Also, if you ever get a DRIVING CONE with your name by a free parking spot, that’s THE SIGN you made it. AFI Alumni will get this post. The rest, just trust this post is pretty accurate.”
“Door of Hope is an amazing Foundation. True angels, helping families find housing or stay in their current home. They are easy to get ahold of and very responsive. Thank you Door of Hope!”
“I’ve been coming to ProjectQ for years now! Coral has been the absolute best barber I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait for them to cut my hair whenever I visit! I’ve never felt in a space more inclusive and welcoming when getting a fresh new look! Can’t recommend coming here enough!”
“This is a thrift store but looks like a botique store that belongs on Melrose. Staff here are mostly PAID interns for young adults. They have new iems with tag(s) and for $5+ or so. I am glad I stopped by in the middle of searching for food Ceazar Chavez in East LA, found many items I wanted but hungry rushed me out of store. Parking is on street, and they use venmo. Do give yourself ample time to look around. Of course, they accept donations. Do call ahead if you need assistance or verify if they can take certain items. Know your donation is tax deductible and are helping the youth in local communties.”
“Wonderful Thrift Shop with all kinds of very reasonable finds. Clothing to toys and knick knacks and even some jewelry and more. I believe the ladies are volunteers and they're always helpful and pleasant. You won't go out empty-handed.”
“If there is a place that exemplifies the essence of compassion, it's undoubtedly the Heart of Compassion food pantry. I can't stress enough how much of a lifeline this place has been, especially during challenging times. What truly sets Heart of Compassion apart is the genuine care that radiates from every volunteer. And speaking of that, I have to give a special shoutout to Nela, who patiently guided me through the process. The variety and quantity of food they give out at Heart of Compassion is impressive, but it's the people like Nela who make this place shine. It's not just about filling stomachs here. I'm grateful to have HoC in my community.”
“This club gives generous scholarships to South Pasadena High students each year, with last year's total being $18,000, and they are always trying to pull together more. They are such cheerleaders and supporters of the students, and the women who interview and present the awards are kind, warm-hearted, gracious people. Those of us who work on Awards at SPHS find them a joy to coordinate with.”
“Had my Dads Celebration of Life reception here and it was great! Not too fancy but not too ghetto either. The hall is a decent size, we had a DJ, the smoking patio was big enough and the bar was great! Also the bartenders were funny and super friendly. Would definitely recommend!!!”
“Stay Gallery located in downtown Downey is a precious gem in our city. They feature local artist as well as events for the community. Thank you Stay Gallery for your February Family Paint Day Event last week. The guided acrylic paint dau was so much fun. Please look them up! They have events posted on their website for a fun family day. They also host private events! There's a parking structure directly across the street. Enjoy the Downey mural on Downey Ave. painted by local artist depicting several Downey landmarks! So proud to be from this city for over 20 years.”
“What can I say about PAWS/LA ? Well I did found a whole bunch of good people willing to take over my sick dog veterinarian's cost in a moment when I needed it the most in search to cure my companion dog. My dog didn't survived her sickness but I still have a cat and another dog to which PAWS/LA supply food once a month. Omar is very professional, good hearted, and the courteous person in charge. The one that always take care of me is Stephany, a bilingual young lady willing to go the extra mile to help, she's also very professional. Like I said, everybody there is out to help us seniors. Two thumbs up PAWS/LA !!!”
“Great spot for an event. We set up a 360 Photo Booth and a Photo Booth for a school fundraiser. There was plenty of room for both, a DJ, a Bar, Dancefloor, and 120 guestsIt's an old building that feels very historic and amazing.”
“A TRUE story! There's heartache, love, deception, all embroiled within this series in almost every episode! Worthy of a good binge! Delivers a warm, but expected ending, but really sincere. TIP: Have a good box of tissue at your side.”
