Service here is AMAZING!! Damon is the king of helpfulness!!
My wife has been shopping for hiking boots for the past few weeks. Looking and looking for shoes in the area including another Big 5. But the moment she walked into this big five. It was an amazing experience. Damon was methodical and understanding of my wife's circumstances. He was not at all looking to rush us. He wanted us to find the perfect shoe. His knowledge in shoes surpasses all comprehension. He pointed us through a number of shoes each better than the last.
Anytime my wife has to get shoes, It's a horror show because of her particular needs. I think we'll be coming back here exclusively because Damon is just that Amazing!!

Visited store in Dublin to get shot gun shells for the Pleasanton gun range. Clean place but the process to obtain ammo took forever.

We just were in dublin big 5. Shout out to the clerk that helped us locate what my daughter was looking for. She was friendly. Sadly it didn’t fit my daughter right. But her customer service was A+ ( forgot to look at her name tag)

Found this a unique sporting goods place - fewer variety but good quality! Have bought a lot of items from here - Tennis, fun games, sports injury protection items. Friendly staff!

Best customer service I have experienced in years... anywhere... My Mom and I went into the Dublin Big Five today looking for low backed camping type chairs to attend a lawn concert without having to sit on the ground. The sales assistant Justin was so friendly and helpful. He pulled out and set up multiple chairs for us to try out. He was so patient and kind. When I couldn't get back up out of one chair he even gave me hand to stand back up and was so sweet about it. In the end we found chairs that worked for us thanks to Justin's patience. This was really a pleasant and successful shopping experience of a kind that I didn't know could be had anymore. If more stores had employees like Justin I bet more people would go back to brick and mortar stores.

I arrived at 8:15 pm. I thought the store closed at 9:00pm. I was still shopping when an employee told another they still have a customer in the store. that was when I asked what time they close . They patently waited for me to finish. Great staff

Was just in to purchase a boots for work at the Dublin Big 5 sporting goods, and the salesman Damon provided excellent customer service. He was well educated with the shoes and merchandise. He taught me something new about lacing up my shoes.

I went to the Dublin Big 5 yesterday and today and probably had the greatest retail experience ever. Yesterday, I visited the Dublin Big 5 with the intent to buy some ammo for a weekend get together with the boys. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and then I proceeded to walk over to the firearms section. Haylee was the person who helped me pick out my ammo and I was impressed of her knowledge of the variety of ammo. Anyway, when it came to running my background check, I ended up being rejected. This is the first time that it's ever happened to me so Haylee was kind enough to walk me through that process and gave me the necessary paperwork to get it fixed. With the help of her resources and expertise, I was able to sort it out the next morning (today.) Now that I had the background check situated, I made it back to Big 5 in hopes that I get approved and actually buy ammo. When I arrive, Haylee was already at that counter and was ready to help. She remembered my situation and the ammo that I was interested in which I thought was impressive. When my background cleared, she was very cheerful. With her help, I was able to buy my ammo. Overall, I think that her customer service is the gold standard on how to treat customers. This encounter has made this specific Big 5 my official go-to place for all of my sporting goods needs.

Had a good experience. As many mentioned this is the cheaper version of REI. They have less options and maybe not as many name brands or unique companies but for your basic needs they have everything. Came in for some winter gear - they had plenty of options for men, women, and children. Grabbed some very well priced snow gloves and socks.The customer service was very friendly and the store was clean - no issues.
