Schwab has good tools and reports, everything can be done online. That being said, this local office has been helpful during my periodic reviews.

Schwab customer for 20+ years - always great customer support until I moved to Davis, where this is my "local branch." They don't have a phone? How do they get away with that? If you call the 800 number that's listed, you get to listen to a chipper robot ask, "did you know that you can go online and find the number for your local branch?!" Yes, I did know that, and I called it, and now it's Groundhog Day. The point of a local branch is to offer expediency and access to humans, and they offer neither here. I don't know why Schwab allows it. They should either staff it and require them to run it as an actual branch, or shut it down and move the resources elsewhere.

I have been investing with Charles Schwab since 2018, and the main reason I continue to invest with them is because of the Davis branch. Every time I've had a question about anything from new products to the state of the economy, I've been able to have a candid conversation with Paul or Matt at the Davis branch. They are available for phone or in-person appointments, and tailor their advice/recommendations to my long and short-term financial needs. Location is not very accessible, there is a rickety old elevator in the front of the building (just the general building, not this office), but otherwise multiple flights of stairs and limited parking options. They do have phone appointments available.

I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone from this branch to open an account for almost 2 weeks now. I’ve been on the phone with 3 separate Charles Schwab associates from the toll free number who said they would work on getting me an appointment in Davis and every single time I hear nothing back afterwards and have to call to try to schedule again.I officially have wasted 2 weeks trying to get your business and now I’m going to go open my investment account with a different company. Not sure how your branch is staying in business during the coronavirus if you refuse to help any of your customers. Do better!
