“Some of the best Mediterranean food in the area. I’m always coming back for their lamb shank and chicken plate. The plate of rice they give with each plate is packed with flavor, the meat is fall of the bone, good side salad and of course their dollop of garlic or spicy sauce pairs so good with the meat and rice. They also have a wide range of Mediterranean goods in their market, ranging from spices to snack to canned goods. 10/10 place, also the guys working there are really friendly and helpful”

“Well, how do you do! What a fantastic foodie find. Small shop that packs enormous flavor.Their kimchi fried is great with onions, kimchi & tiny squares of tofu that is seasoned to perfection. Jap chae with slivers of carrots, green onions and yellow onions. That galbi was a show stopper, grilled before my very eyes, lightly sauced tender to the touch it separated from the bone every so easily. The small portion of kimchi that's included is not enough. You can thankfully purchase a mason jar of kimchi. The portion sizes are fat kid pleasing.Go in pairs parking is terrible. They take cards”

“Step inside this local institution, and be schooled. An array of locally curated cocktails is provided in togo containers, with mixers, ice, and cups, for your enjoyment. This is a masterclass of local culture, and a testament to the abilities of the staff to create wonderful drinks.”

“I come to this particular location because it's sooo convenient & the staff here are pleasantly chill. It's been awhile since I've been to TJs so I sooo needed to stock up on goodies. Spotted some new snacks such as kettle corn drizzled w/choc w/freeze dried strawberries. Get some regular stuff as well but found out some items were discontinued. BooHoo! Anyways next visit there'll be bound for something new to try. Until then, I got my goodies to eat.”

“Just noticed their renovated interior and exterior of the store. Family run store and they been there forever since I can remember when I went to Jefferson High and back then in the 80s can't forget about the Arcades they had inside. A great neighborhood store.”

“Good prices, good produce, and meats, but the avocados are bad. Twice I paid top dollars for an avocado to get home and see that it was bad. Only for that, I gave them 4 starts everything else is great oh I almost forgot I hate that they sell Goya Products no bueno”

“I enjoy going to Sprouts because they have a wide assortment of plant-based items. They also have a partnership with Instacart to deliver groceries on demand, which can be really convenient. One thing I love about Sprouts is the clearly labeled departments. You can see this sign for frozen foods from the opposite end of the store, so there's no unnecessary wandering to find what you're looking for. The nicely stocked produce section is the main event. It's all locally sourced, which Sprouts defines as grown in-state or within 500 miles.I wish that Sprouts had a hot bar like Whole Foods, but that's okay because it's the perfect blend of Trader Joe's prices and Whole Foods quality.”

“Heard about the owners defending himself . He probably prevented 10 other future robberies .. horrible that he's being charged. No wonder SF is the way it is.”

“Ya know I always wanted to stop in here. I never had time until today. Great well informed woman at the counter, but alas I was too late! All the yellow cow ? kapa pulu was gone! It's St. Paddy's Day after all. I did see HUGE cans of ? milk that I don't see downtown. The young niu isn't always good in Little Vietnam here in the TL.I no longer have a machete or cleaver to crack em open and drink em. I will definitely come here then rather than downtown nearer me for ? goods from now on when I can. Gotta keep rare foods stores alive! Otherwise, I gotta go hm to San Bruno. Ill...She even sells guanábana aka Sour Sop not just candies and juice, THE VEGETABLE itself, which prevents CANCER. She sold out before I got there, sadly. Otherwise, I gotta scour the Asian Markets in Chinatowns 1, 2, & 3, thr SJ or Alemany flea market and farmers' markets all over da Bay. Next TIME!I was really here to browse The Dollar Tree for food pantry deals. Got my ☕️and pie at McD. Grabbed some Guanabana juice here and overspent before I even got to The Dollar ?. That was AFTER they closed the Polynesian Luau store early on me, oops!Rather spend at these small mom and pop brick and mortars than corporate or franchises anyway! Except when McD has my guava pies and 99c coffee deals on app that is. I am weak!”

“Fresh foods, meat dept, and Produce. Nice and friendly clerk. I was just walking by, and noticed them selling oranges for 99 cents/lb. You don't need to speak Spanish to shop here. Street parking”

“This review is for the deli. If you are going to get some groceries, make sure that you checkout with your groceries first. For every $20 that you buy of groceries, you get a $1 coupon to spend at the deli. The best deal at the deli is the $13.55 self-serve meal combo. They give you a large square take-out box and pre-filled with your choice of either rice or noodles. The four options are fried rice, vermicelli noodles, chow mein and fried rice noodles. The box is about half full at this point. Then, you fill the rest of the box with your choice of meats and vegetables. You can fill the box with as much as you want, as long as it can still be closed at the end. I like that you can get a lot of different flavors in one box. Also, the filled box weighed at least three pounds, and will probably last me 3-4 meals. None of the dishes were labeled, so you have to recognize them by sight. The dishes that were available when I was there were: 1) Roast Duck 2) Fried Chicken 3) Fried Salt & Pepper Pork Chops 4) Fried Fish 5) Fried, Breaded Chicken (?) Katsu 6) Orange Chicken 7) Sweet & Sour Chicken 8) Fried Tofu in House Sauce 9) Mapo Tofu 10) Stir-fried vegetable that I didn't recognize ... okra? 11) Tea Eggs 12) Shell-On Cooked Shrimp 13) Pork knuckles? 14) A pork dish I didn't recognize 15) Beef with Broccoli 16) Steamed Broccoli 17) Steamed Gai Lan 18) Teriyaki Chicken 19) Curry Fish Balls 20) Braised Eggplant with Bamboo 21) Celery, Fish Balls & Baby Corn Stir-Fry 22) Zucchini and mushroom stir-fry 23) Misc. mushroom stir-fry. You can also buy a box of any of the dishes. It's $6.95 for a small box (16 oz), $10.85 for medium (26 oz) and $22.85 for a large box (64 oz). I don't know if they will allow you to mix and match items in these boxes, or if each box needs to contain one item. I liked that I could have an assortment of items. Everything was about the quality you might expect from cheap Chinese buffet, which is exactly I was craving. 1) Chow mein: I wouldn't get this again. The chow mein at Panda Express is a lot better. 2) Fried rice noodles: At least better than the chow mein. 3) Roast Duck: I really like the roast duck because normally if I want to have some duck, I need to buy at least half a duck, which is like $20, but I might only want to eat 2-3 pieces of duck. It's the same duck that they charge $38 / whole duck at the deli. 4) Fried Salt & Pepper Pork Chops: Pretty good 5) Orange Chicken: Essentially equivalent to Panda Express 6) Fried Tofu in House Sauce: Would not get this again 7) Braised Eggplant with Bamboo: Surprisingly good. Would legit get this again. I think next time I would try the fried rice, and get everything else that I got again, except the chow mein and fried tofu. I don't know when the deli opens. I think earlier is better because I think they run out of food. I don't know if they rotate the dishes that are available on different days. There is also a dim sum section. It's $1.65 per piece and $4.60 for 3 pieces, and you can mix and match different pieces. Here's what was available: 1) Sesame Balls 2) Red Bean Balls 3) Spring Rolls 4) Chinese Donuts 5) Deep Fried Shrimp Balls 6) Fried Veggie Dumplings 7) Shrimp Balls in Peppers? 8) Fried Potstickers 9) BBQ Pork Buns 10) Turnip Cake 11) Shumai 12) Shrimp Dumplings 13) Taro Buns 14) Steamed Sponge Cake (Ma Lai Gao) 15) Chicken Feet 16) Steamed Chicken Buns I got a spring roll, a deep fried shrimp ball, a BBQ pork bun and a slice of turnip cake. The spring roll wasn't very good, the shrimp ball was a bit too much of undifferentiated shrimp-like mass. The turnip cake was good but honestly kind not a good deal for such a small piece, and the BBQ pork bun was legit good. Next to the deli there is a frozen section where they sell frozen versions of the deli items. This "counts" as part of the deli, so you can use your coupons on these items! I think this section is destined to be my go-to, because they have all my favorites at the best prices: 1) Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf”

“This place came in clutch when I was searching for 6-packs of San Miguel for a potluck at Golden Gate Park. I love representing my heritage through food and drink. Not even Total Wine and Co or Bevmo had any packs, only a few single bottles at most. The owner is very friendly and helpful and had a couple of 6-packs of San Miguel Light. (Which were still very good and from which I still got a good buzz out of even just one bottle) With the pandemic, he said imports from multiple countries were not as easy or frequent as usual. This is my go-to place for San Miguel. They know the community they're in. Thank you!”

“Recommend coming to this grocery for your produce. Way cheaper than buying at Safeway. Sometimes tomato's aren't the best quality but for the most part they are! Plenty of parking in the back of Bank of America. We also come here for meats for Carne Asada's. If you buy over a certain amount they will gift you a piece of cheese or some crema.”

“You might walk in and smell the fried fish. But this market is well stocked with hard-to-find spices and different Asian ethnic ingredients. I come here mostly for a variety of fruits and fresh vegetables.”

“The current store layout is a bit confusing, but it is well stocked. Also with the entrance on the Southside of the store shuttered it makes sense to park closer to the entrance on the Northern side of the building, As for parking it's ample, but again just take into account where the entrance is located. Positives include the fact that the store is clean, with a staff that had been cordial during my visits, and shelves that are well stocked. With the exception of the Extra aisles on the North side of the building the store is easy to navigate. Also use the Lucky Mobile Application this gives customers access to discount , free items, and frequent shopper rewards.”

“This is my weekly neighborhood grocery store. I stop here every week, but I have not gone into the store in over 3 years. I exclusively use Drive Up & Go, I order online and the staff brings it to my car. It's doesn't get easier than that unless it's delivered The staff is alway very nice and friendly.”

“At the Westlake Safeway store is amazing. It's good spot to hang out. At the deli department they got the comfortable chair & table at the indoor & outdoor. You could sit back & relax & eat your delicious food & refreshing cold drinks. Plus, They have a great produce department & meat department & bakery department, where you could shop for food & drinks & supplies anytime. Plus, you get to your 10% discount safe club card to buy GOOD stuff. The public restroom is very clean & Safe. The staff is very cool & well respectful. The security guards did a very good keeping the Safeway store very clean & safe environment.!!! Best customer service ever!!! Great Job!!! Also, sometimes it tend to get very busy, especially around CROWDED because it tough free up & when there shopper block your freaking way. Its FRUSTRATED & ANNOYING!!!
