I went here to buy a whiteboard, and I had to choose one of the ones in the back, since those seem to be some of the only ones in good condition.Parking: The parking was not busy at all and we were able to get a spot right in front of the store.Customer Service: The service was average. The desk where there is a sign saying "Customer Service," Kris said they don't take returns apparently. Wow. Thankfully, they did let us return the duct tape at check out.Best Part: We were able to find everything we needed.Worst Part: When you say customer service, do customer service. And also, this place closes so early, 6:00 PM.Tips/Recommendations: There is a Target across the street if you want actual customer service, and a wider variety of equipment.Return: I mean, it is closer than Palo Alto.

The lady taking passport photos was super rude when I asked her to retake the photo.

Although I had to wait for someone to help me, once help arrived, it was great. Very courteous and knowledgeable about computer monitors and adapters, which is the reason I stopped by. Would give them 5 stars, but you don't see anyone working on the floor, so I had to wait for the cashier person to finish helping another customer. Overall, customer service was great.

Don't bother with the tech buy back. $5 that takes 30 days, yes 30 days, for it to show up on your Staples account AND you have to spend the $5 in store! Ridiculous! You're given a $10 coupon for the same day, but it EXCLUDES almost everything - "Not valid on desktop or laptop computers, PC hardware and accessories, tablets, Chromebooks, streaming devices, Amazon products, Apple®, Bose®, operating systems, Ink or Toner, HP+ and Instant Ink prepaid cards, Epson® EcoTank® printers, Epson® Ink or Toner, HP Ink or Toner, HP printers, Google™ products, Samsung®, Staples® Protection & Tech Help, gaming consoles and accessories, Texas Instruments™ graphing calculators and accessories, mobile phones, gift cards, phone cards, postage stamps, iPostal1 Services, computer workstation, home automation devices, TVs, select commercial kitchen appliances and accessories, software, warranties, wearable technology, Staples® Plus membership fee, select hard drives and data storage devices, surveillance and security cameras, Ultimate Ears®, Wacom®, direct mail services, faxing, custom-quoted orders, promotional products, scanning, self-service print, passport photos, passport expedition, TSA services, PRO services, podcasting, Staples® Studio or Cricut machines."

On 10/9/2022, I waited in line at the Staples located in Cupertino, CA to open at 10am. I was there to purchase Visa gift cards that were on sale that week. When the store finally opened, two female employees announced that there was no Visa gift cards in stock. So I left. One hour later, my friend who showed up at the same store called to tell me they do have them available. I then called the same store to confirm. They do have it in stock. I don't know why the two female employees that worked the opening shift lied. I drove all the way there and waited in line for nothing. Can someone please find out why? Very poor customer service. Many of us who waited in line all got turned away for nothing. Waste of time and gas. It's not funny. They don't take their jobs seriously. I understand that the line is very long at opening but all the customers are patient and no one is complaining, except the two female employees.

I have found the Staples store on Stevens Creek in Cupertino to be a good place to shop for office supplies.Recently I saw their advertisement for a sale item; went to the store and asked an employee to find it, which she promptly did. Then I asked for a sale of computer/printer paper, and she took me direly there so I bought a ream of 500 sheets for $7.49. The the other item was two USB thumb drives with 32 GB for $12.99, which was a little bit less for some online items and a little bit more for others. In previous times, the employees have always been helpful. Each time I have been to the Staples store, the cashier is always there. I value a business that retains its employees, which is increasingly rare these days.I urge consumers to give serious consideration to shopping at brick and mortal stores, otherwise someday they may all be gone thanks to the powerful online shopping options. Recently I checked for an item at Amazon and found their price was several dollars above that of Walmart. There is plenty of free street-level parking in front of the Staples store.

I have a six sense when it comes to judgement based on my skin color. 2 cashiers - only the Caucasian was available when I was waiting in line. Caught her eyeballing me as I was trying to figure out which pens ones to buy. I had a small purse in my basket. I truly believe she thought I was trying to steal something. Walked up & I could tell right away I should of have gone to the African American cashier.Asked if she could price check 2 sets of pens - looked annoyed. No kind of customer service. She even said - when the 2nd cashier opened up - oh you can go to her if you want. Ummmm.. lady I had already put my basket down on your counter. No kind of hello - I can help you here. Isn't that the Staples way?Didn't even say have a good day at the end of my purchase. As I was walking out the African American cashier said "have a good day to me". I wasn't even helped by her - but she obviously knows OUTSTANDING customer service. Or just human kindness.I mean really? In this day & age? After what the world has seen? I post this to "let go & let God". God bless you "Karen".... Perhaps you are not aware of your "Karen" vibe. This is to let you & Staples in Cupertino know - be better. My patronage helps keep you in business. Just saying . 1 star only for the African American cashier that did her job.

Don't do printing with this store unless you don't care when you will eventually receive it. I'm not sure if a problem w/ this store only or a Staple wide issue. I submitted my printing jobs online. First time it was a simply printing job that supposed to be done by 8pm the same day. I didn't receive it until 3 days later. The second time this past weekend, I submitted a invitation card printing job that supposed to be ready by 5:30pm next day. Well, not until Tuesday. The first time they said they had a system down issue. The second time it's said severe staff shortage.

I've used this Staples multiple times for the past 5-6 years for printing (posters for conferences and double-sided cards for the holidays). Staffing at the store seems to be perpetually limited but the print staff are consistently cordial. I spoke on the phone with Matt C. tonight about an order placed 7 days ago (which, per the online order process, should have been ready within 3-5 business days). He confirmed it was still being processed (meaning: not ready, yet), asked when I needed the order by (holiday cards, so... the sooner, the better), and assured me he would personally be able to get the process started for me so that I could pick them up by Wednesday. I appreciate his sincerity and let him know I'll share with management his excellent customer service.
