This a long overdue review. I had a pin placed in my sinus tarsi as my left tendon was about to sever. My podiatrist suggested SAS shoes. The sales associate at Cupertino measured my feet. When the pair of SAS shoes did not exactly fit well, she found the correct size and had the shoes shipped to the Cupertino store. Expect quality shoes and personalized customer service.

Came here on Sunday as instructed by my doctor . I'm super late on this review but 5 stars to the gentleman that works there his name starts with a M I believe! Really helpful and knowledgeable. Also listens to the doctors specific directions. I tried to get a "cuter" shoe and he made sure I got what the doctor told me to get ! Glad he did cause I love my new balance shoes and my special insert for my ONE annoying foot . Also came in close to closing and he still took his time and didn't rush me at all. 5 stars all around. :)

This place has a range of orthotic footwear for different feet conditions. They have everything you would need for proper foot support all under one roof. But what really stood out to us is the outstanding customer service! We came here to get proper fitting shoes for my wife upon referral from the podiatrist. Yadira is a gem and we highly recommend looking for her when you shop here. She was so helpful, patient, and knowledgeable on what my wife needed for her feet type and condition. She even determined that my wife had narrow feet (which we never knew!) and recommended the proper shoes. I was so impressed by her knowledge and service that I also asked for her recommendation for a pair of shoes for my feet type. She patiently let me try different shoes with different types of insoles and explained what I needed to look out for to get a proper fit and support. We walked out of the store as happy customers. Highly recommend this place and would definitely come here again for any future footwear needs! It is really important to invest in proper fitting shoes to prevent any future foot problems. You only have one pair of feet afterall :)

I recently purchased walking shoes at the Cupertino location. I always find the sales staff (except one young woman at the former Sunnyvale location) warm, pleasant and helpful.

My husband and I had a pleasant experience shopping at Footwear etc. It was safe and precautions were taken to keep us healthy, as well as others.

My sister and I visited on a quiet Sunday to browse the Birkenstock selection. They allow 3 customers in the store at a time after taking your temperature and offering hand sanitizer. Mourad, the associate who helped us, was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. The shoes we wanted were unavailable in store, so Mourad had them shipped to our home address for free.

The staff is very knowledgeable and always courteous. I usually shop there with my friend who buys comfort shoes for her work. I also find great handbags & accessories as well as comfy shoes. Definitely check out this store!

Small store with a small selection, but they say they only carry the best of the brands so I assume that's why the selection is limited. I mean, the less options I had, the easier it was for me to choose a shoe, so it was kinda a win. I came here with a doctor's recommendation (which also provided me 10% off..aka tax off) during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was the only customer in the store. Good cleanliness: they limited the number of people in the store, took my temperature, and there was hand sanitizer available. From entering a nice lady helped me every step of the way. She showed me the different shoes that my doctor recommended and laid out the different options. She was very nice and helped get a few different sizes from the back so I could try it on. Check out was a breeze once I finalized what shoe I wanted. I wore the shoes out of the store! Thanks Cupertino Footwear Etc for a great experience!

Mourad Saudi, thank you so much! I have a injury with my big toe, he patiently showed me different types of shoes, and recommended Hoka Bondi which is now the only shoe I wear; with orthotics added, it greatly reduced my pain. He really understands shoes, and is willing to take the time to know my situation, and gave me different shoes/insoles to try. Because of this, I decide to always buy my shoes at Footwear, really appreciated!

They are open and currently only let 3 customers in at a time. The store is very clean and take all precautions for germs spreading. They stave is welcoming and knowledgeable. Went her because my doctor recommend sole inserts from them. Nice size parking lot too and easy to find.

I have spent thousands of dollars on a variety of shoes at the Governor Drive Footwear Etc location in San Diego, Ca. This shoe store had a very large display of Vionic Footwear. Because I tend to pronate, I was encouraged by the sales people toward Vionic. I was told Vionic was a great product for me, because of the arch support. Imagine my surprise two and a half years later, I'm told by the same person, Vionic, in fact is not a quality product and they do fall apart! In fact, I was told they have a shelf life, sort of like food I guess. I wish I had known then,, what I know now. I would not have purchased numerous Vionic shoes & slippers, MBT or Ecco. Andrew the owner, told me I can expect these shoes to fall apart because of the material they are constructed with. I wore a pair of Vionic sandals, in my home on carpet for approximately 30 minutes a day and the sole separated. I purchased these Vionics two and a half years ago but didn't start wearing them till about a year ago and wore them intermittently with my Vionic slippers. I can understand if a sandal is worn outdoors on concrete, blacktop or gravel, they will wear out. I have a lot of shoes and this is a first... I never had a shoe fall apart and then laughed at when I complained! In closing, I will say this review is much more about the obnoxious tone of Andrew, the owner. He is very rude, he kept talking over me when I was trying to speak. He just continued telling me how foolish I was to think a shoe doesn't fall apart. Yes, cheap shoes fall apart but shoes bought at a quality shoe store should have a long life, if they're cared for properly. He laughed again and emphasized the purchase date. As I said, I have so many shoes, I don't wear any shoe frequently. Andrew's dad must not have taught him the First lesson in sales: The Customer is Always right. If you believe the customer isn't right, go back and reread the first lesson. Andrew actually had the audacity to tell me I should shop at Nordstrom's! I do shop at Nordstrom's, does Andrew know Nordstrom's policy is: The customer is Always right? I never had anyone at Nordstrom's interrupt me or speak to me in an obnoxious and rude manner. It's about so much more now, than a sandal falling apart. I will never give Footwear Etc my business again, You're Welcome Andrew!! ****I posted on 2/20 regarding Footwear Etc. Today 2/21, Andrew M. owner / manager responds. He claims I have been making multiple calls to his stores and saying disparaging comments about his employees. This is a Lie, I would never do such a thing. He mentions Eric, who by the way is a wonderful person and an excellent employee. He does not have the decision making power, as he is an employee who earns his living by selling shoes. Eric has been nothing but a gentleman ALWAYS! My complaint, as I said, is in reference to the Rude, Obnoxious and Insulting phone language of Andrew M, the Owner/ Manager of the shoe company Footwear Etc. I was educated yesterday by Rude Andrew. Now I know certain shoes will fall apart, even if they're not worn. I Strongly suggest when purchasing shoes at Footwear Etc, the customer ask; Is this shoe in the "Falling Apart Category" Even if they are not worn?

This store has a good selection of shoes, esp for people who are looking for relief from foot ailments like bunions, plantar fasciitis, and general foot pain, when 'regular' shoes just don't cut it anymore. They sell podiatrist-recommended brands like Asics, Brooks, New Balance, Saucony, etc. I was in a lot of pain and needed stability shoes - I was helped by the assistant manager - she measured my feet and showed me different brands in various colors and sizes. After the purchase, she also gave me her business card and offered to help me if required. I appreciate the help and her understanding of my situation. I will be back to purchase some sandals for spring/summer.

I wish I could give them zero stars. On top of having horrible customer service, they wouldn't allow me to return a pair of boots that I never even wore aside from in the damn store. Mind you I have actually returned shoes that I've worn for weeks. Such a joke. Just go to the location in willow glen and in Palo Alto. Will never step foot in this location again. That's all. Update: Just went to another location and guess what? They accepted the shoe return. Again, this location (Cupertino) is such a joke.

I've been shopping at Footwear Etc for over 20 years, but won't be going back any more after I tried to return a pair of shoes today. I've never returned anything at Footwear before; I've always been very happy with my purchases there, so today's experience at the Cupertino branch was a bit of a shock. The shoes I bought had been marked down several times, old stock they needed to get rid of. When I brought them in to the store to return today, the shoes were in exactly the same condition as when I bought them eight days ago. The first sales person didn't even look in the box, but immediately went and got the manager, Yadira Navarro, who came out with a sour face and proceeded to claim that the soles of the shoes were "scuffed" and couldn't be returned. I had worn them for only an hour or two last weekend, ONLY inside my house (as advised by the original sales person at the Los Altos store) to see if they were truly a good fit or not, before deciding to return them. Again, the shoes today were in the same condition as when I bought them a week ago. I tried to tell Ms. Navarro this as she pointed out imaginary, invisible defects on the soles. When I looked puzzled and said I'd only worn them inside my house, she then said that I must have tiles in my house that "scuffed" the soles, and when I said I have no tiles in my house she continued to claim I must have tiles, pointing again to some mark on the sole of the shoes that only she could see. In fact there was no damage to the soles at all --- they looked exactly as they had when I bought the shoes. It was a total farce on her part! I asked her if she was calling me a liar, and she waffled a bit, but I decided to leave before I lost my temper, telling her I would be writing to the CEO of Footwear Etc., as well as the customer service of the company, which I did this afternoon. We will see if they take any positive action on this. Either way, my advice is: don't shop at Footwear Etc anymore--- if you do, you may need to take pictures of the shoes, top and bottom while you are still in the shop with a time and date stamp, to prove that they are still in their original condition just in case you want to return them. Seriously, customers should not be treated like this. I won't be buying anything there anymore. It's not like you can't get their shoes elsewhere.
